I'm pretty sure if anyone had a root method ..The conversation hit a dead end like everything else.
i always wondered what are you doing in this thread.. sorry for being a bit rude but you have a stylo and you are happy with it that's great but this thread is aI'm pretty sure if anyone had a root method ..
Then the topics would be similar to the zmax one thread.
I just wish my stylo plus 2 had the same audience as this phone.
We can go on about root roms mods etc..
not to mention LG has updated this phone to 7.0 Nougat and I will say the best android o s by far
No need for overclock kernels on this phone now. Its very optimized. We just need a custom Rom.
Well off topic sorry no root for ZTE.

First off. We don't have root.Found this to unlock bootloader. You may have to change variables maybe coz this is not for our phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...de-unlock-bootloader-asus-unlock-app-t3405850
Maybe if we combine the 'that' and this maybe just maybe we will conquer.
I tried this command in terminal emulator there is an output:
echo -ne "\x01" | dd obs=1
It says in the thread to use termux I used terminal emulator. Don't want to use the entire command:
echo -ne "\x01" | dd obs=1 count=1 seek=16 of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/devinfo
Which supposedly unlocks bootloader coz I'm scaredy cat to brick this shitty phone.
First off. We don't have root.
su is root.
Second. This is for an Asus phone.
Sorry bud but no.
I updated to b20. Actually, the b20 update comes in a pair. The first one went through and then another one as soon as the phone came back on. No issues with anything here.

Well yes, I should've phrased that better. Technically we do, but, we don't have an easily accessible way to get it.We do indeed have root. Just not a user we can access.
Right right, but in order to complete these actions we need a su binary. But this command works:
***mod redacted at OP request***
there is an output. Just don't want to try the entire command. I did say this is not for our phone and we obviously need to change values.
It does seem this "\x01" pertains to boot. When I google it from what I understand.
Removed for device safety. Cheers.Sorry. Maybe mods can erase that command.

If two "testers" could PM me that would be great. Have a working temp root I am compiling. - Using a kind of shady method based on sword/dagger. It works, but probably wouldnt be a great method for security reasons.

So, in the interest of eventually achieving root, would you recommend I stick with b08, or allow the update to b20?
