I was not fooled at all into getting this phone. I did much research, including if root was available, before I took the plunge and bought this phone. Like I said in a previous post, the software on this phone is very good to me, so I don't necessarily need root on the phone. I usually don't need root in general on any phone, but it can have very beneficial effects when the right people develop for a rooted phone. Second of all, if you're not satisfied with the phone, why keep it and continue to hang around its message board? You don't seem to be contributing anything to the discussion that will actually help root the phone, only goading arguments and posting sarcasm from what I've seen. Again, this is not a Nexus phone that will be rooted in a day or two, but people are really excited about the prospects of root from this phone with this chipset, as am I. Why dampen the enthusiasm?
And just to make it crystal clear before I get too off topic, I do not think of myself as better than anyone. However, I firmly believe in inspiring people makes great things happen, not bringing down the discussion with negativity. And in modern internet culture, a troll is (generally) someone who hangs around message boards, posting negative and sometimes hateful comments, and basically tries to incite arguments that have nothing to do with the original subject. Again, not to get too off topic, but if you have something to actually contribute to the question at hand (root of the ZTE ZMax Pro), by all means, please contribute (any news from ZTE you may have heard, any exploits you may know of that can be tried) as all of the people that are posting are doing. I am no developer, and so I have been trying to find out information from ZTE, and I appreciate the work of the coders to try what they can. Simply put: if you don't have something positive to contribute, why post?
