Root ZTE ZMAX Pro (Z981) root discussion

Occasionally they send out a new exploit but they always fail Kingroot makes an exploit kit and allows however many phones that are POSSIBLY vulnerable aka 50 100 999 phones etc attempt root after people start hitting request they know that that exploit(s) don't work on our phone and they take away the option to attempt root if that makes sense so basically if you want to experiment you have to keep attempting until they send a new root kit out

Interesting, any sources? Not doubting either, just an interesting way to look at it. I assumed they used a simple server side model search and paired it with a known working exploit instead of just throwing it out and possibly bricking devices etc.

I don't know the exact specifics Kingroot is ran on cloud servers but when you see strategy found that means it's not made exacly for your phone but may work I've had a couple phones can't say off the top of my head that were rooted my Kingroot but it legitimately rooted as in it wasn't a hailmary with a strategy but I'll look for some sources sure I've talked to King root team once in the past its been awhile but thats where I'm getting most of my knowledge maybe I'll be able to find the email and post screenshots

To good Devs.. I'll like to know how to change prop.codes either on terminal or adb.. I want to try changing
ro.boot.keymaster
ro.boot.mode
ro.boot.vertymode
Selinux.reload.policy

Yea, don't expect any assistance from jcase at all. Unless there's big money in it for him he won't even give you the time of day.

When the original Zmax came out, jcase is actually the one who created the original root method. He did it just for fun, but year took him forever to finally release it mainly because people badgered him about it

Roots not something you charge for, hold hostage, keep secret if you ask me. to hear about someone holding root for any length of time without releasing the exploit is just horrible..sure you found the exploit and you dont have to tell anyone but that makes you a really unlikeable person hahaha hopefully someone found the exploit and presented it before he could and got all the credit.. sorry to derail yall but hearing of someone holding a root is reeeediculous.

lol i'm unable to extract the b12 system.new.dat/system.patch.dat contents , what's wrong with this company they are using a weird .up format in their ota upates , their dat files can not be extracted they are making things look like if they are hiding a national secret..wtf

I'm scared.... Should I delete the pics of little girls on my phone??? No in all seriousness this is just bullshit. I liked this phone now **** it. Tax return lol don't nobody ever give zte a dollar. Untastefull and off topic, I know

Could I get any and all root devs or people with any control over the Zmax to PM me I'm been a dev for quite awhile never tried to develop root but I'll manage anyways I've noticed some things that MAY lead us in the right direction that I don't necessarily want to post here cause zte and patches
Please PM me. long story but my ad blocker blocks the message button because it has the google api embedded.

Some new updates on this end as well. Master Signing keys are obtained, but will not do us ANY good. TLDR; ZTE uses a cell on the mobo to hold a 2048 bit key. (PM for source.) Our efforts need to point elsewhere. I would suggest all to look at the B013 update and compare the DParted partition mapping. Very intersting. For patches sake, and the fact I KNOW FOR A FACT that a "new" member (besides me) is touting himself to be in search of a root when in fact he works for ZTE. Look back at the conversations people posted with ZTE reps and tell me if anything is sketchy. I'm transparent as hell, i put my own reverse phone number lookup in public, my real pic, and at Metro is all clearly available. Nada to hide, but obviously we're getting close. They send fake members to XDA axon forums and now ZMAX AF? Seems a bit much especially if the phone is so LOCKED DOWN. Be careful which posts stay in the public forum, you never know what you could be giving up. /remembers Note4 Root that Samsung pulled from XDA and OTA'd over night.

Use that signing key I sent you in Winrar using the password locked option. It will open

yes, and the store demo already has b014, it's a conflict of interest though to penetration test the thing while on clock or off. So instead i just found the update elsewhere. It is available to ONE PERSON ONLY on these forums as of right now since we are close (as seen by ZTE coming to Android Forums) and i trust noone. (Not a direct reply btw, not being a dbag.)

T0odles.
