PS: for some funny ROOT RELATED laughs, head over to zforums and lyfao at the replies from ZTE reps. Saying Metro locked the phone down, yet no other phone in known Metro history is like this one. I swear something weird is hidden in the .up because after using the pass-locked zip method i quoted to messi all the files are called: jung()hoarXX.msi not sure if this is the weirdest coincidence, or if someone could tell me what that means in mandarin.

Edit: the files start at xx = 01 and go to 66

New updates = new security updates and less root possibility
Yep root is looking less and less possible unless they give us fastboot but maybe there's a one in a million percent chance but maybe they will give us fastboot in the new update is there any way to confirm or deny it yet that it's in the update?

Our model is msm8952. Is it possible to use rooting methods for this specific board that is currently in other companies devices such as the Moto G4?

They have root. Would their method be viable for us or maybe a variation of it?

When I was looking at the update file for the Axon 7 that added fastboot there was a fastboot.img file so I guess the only way to confirm its in an update is to look inside the update file

There has been people to look into the update but I haven't personally looked into it there's a key needed I don't have to unlock it so I'm clueless but if it's that easy to know it would be known by k now so nope 99.999% sure they screwed us out of that one

I didn't use any key to look in the update file. Just opened it as a regular zip file. Think the keys are only needed for the .dat files

I'll be looking into them later then but currently I'm on b12 and a family member has a bo8 both phones are completly bug free to my knowledge and for the last day or so I've been trying to break this security selinux enforcing + no fastboot + locked down phone makes everything seem impossible but I'm still working on it trying to collab with people and see where everybody is I still have some info I don't want to say in this public thread
