You're right , get his permission first then add it .(main reason is to keep everything in one so noons won't be asking where this and that is.)

If you don't have a backup, and you have the MetroPCS zmax you can use the backup I put in post#2 on this thread to get your phone going again.

The only thing you would be able to flash through the stock recovery would probably be official system updates from zte. If you have a computer with adb installed you could put your phone in ftm mode and connect it to your computer and use adb to flash twrp with shell commands. I cannot go any further into detail as I am not knowledgeable enough to give you step by step instructions on this. I just got my zmax yesterday so I'm still learning the ins and outs of things.

You need to make a new thread and ask for help there. You will receive a lot more help that way. I would like to help you but I still don't know that much about unbricking with adb.
 
Hey hroark just wanted to pop in and say thank you for your work on this phone. It is greatly appreciated. I was around to see what you put out there on the f6 as well. It's amazing what you do man thanks so much! :)
 
@hroark13 wow, I never knew people do stuff like that. I mean seriously. DIRECT LINKS and NO CREDIT? That's bull. Also, if people ever get a problem. They'll leave it in the comments never to be answered or a simple 'I don't know', more bad than good.

I would do this:

Take down the download links and put up new ones and close this thread AND tell the moderators to delete it in the process so it makes there video obsolete until you put up a new thread and link. Put the warning in the thread in the beginning like right now.

All of my suggestion is (IMO) and really is only my thoughts of this.

I don't own a ZMax but it's really sad to see this happen. I saw it by the popular post and the title. Still, it makes me really sad to see this kind of stuff.

It's sad that people are like that. Always give credit where credit is due especially when someone puts work into something like this.

This has been more work than i thought it would be. I just finished uploading the zips for metropcs and re-downloading them then comparing the md5 checksums and finally flashing them to be 100% sure that they didnt get corrupted while I was uploading them. Right now Im making a new thread to post them on.
 
Hi guys. I know it is off topic but there is no place to ask but here. Will this twrp work for zte grand x max+? I have temp root now with kingroot app. I will lose root if i reboot. Any suggestions will be appreciated.. thanks
