Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

ok folks i see what lg has done regarding the quick settings icons. they pretty much have superimposed the name label over the available icon area. all you have to do is resize any of the quick settings icons to above 54x54 and you'll see the icon being over lapped by the text of what the icons purpose is. i can renove the text in strings.xml and resize our icons with their own text or not...at least that's my goal. these lg apks recompile with errors with coding untouched that apktool says is invalid,no sources found...on and on. our apks are cobbled together crap going back to jelly bean 4.1 that they've just plastered new crap in to and snipped out of.

as you can see i blew the text way up. icon stays same size. should be able to set quick settings font to 0.0dip and it will be gone.

getting much closer. you guys wont see another update until its a full rom with this done among other things. but i am slowly getting us closer to the notifications layout flat ui styling. i intend on editing the qslide panel to this style as well. that way you dont have to hide it lol. but with the qslide panel i want to shrink its height layout and icon sizes. hopefully rearrange the header layout with the clock and date..maybe move it to the area you see below here where the word "notifications" currently is. turn that area into a small time/date section replacing the word "notifications" and actually make that area useful more so than just a word you know what im sayin?

That is where the clear button is... Unless you're going to move that up to the status bar next to the settings button.

Looks fantastic though! Glad you went back to simpler icons on the status bar. My tastes are rather minimalist.

I've removed the entire date/clock and settings button header above quick settings. now adding month, day, year and clock to status bar. not sure what to do with the settings button that went up top just yet. my goal is to free up notifications space and removing the header allows for that. could relocate it up top with the clear button but seems to be redundant to me.

now the other option is to leave the header but shrink the data time to free up more vertical space.
My vote is to keep the date/time header and move the clear button up there too, like on AOSP ROMs. I don't like having date/time on the status bar... Too much clutter. If make the time smaller though, looks like you'll have to shrink the settings/clear icons too.

done and then some. i am in favor of removing time from status as well. moved the volume slider above qslide which i am tempted to remove altogether. but i will see how it looks after i resize and edit the icons.

a separate tab for qslide, vume and brightness etc wouldn't be a bad idea. just got to figure out how to add it.

looks clean man! smaller icons does help but think i like the look w/o cyan on qslideapps though. it draws my eyes to much then i notice alot of cyan.

Progress update. A compromise on status bar clock that i think everyone will like. clock centered and visible only in launcher like home screens and app drawer but gone while in apps and lockscreen. also work progesses on qslide...actually those are done. all apps refreshed with spiffy new icons to match the updated qslide tray. want to finalize some stuff with the weather app and create a new boot screen which will knock off all but a few kb of space that the lg boot screen takes up. trim down font folder and redo the quick settings tray. i cant get used to the flat ui buttons. i have also added matching colorized status bars for ongoing calks and other activities like scrolling ticker messages.

heres a screen or two of things as it stands now.

Here's a screen of the final release for a while to come. Still calling it V.5 versus Final. May revisit it off and on so no finals.

New Center Clock only on Homescreen, app drawer, etc. Not in apps.

New notification status bar coloring schemes for in call,etc..

Modded LGHome,LG Home Theme Optimus to reflect new wallpapers, app drawer wallpapers, themed calendar icon that auto updates date. Other things Im sure I did but cant remember.

100% self themed LG Weather and LG Weather Theme. See screens. New themes for every weather type. All widget styles themed.

Reverted to stock notifications panel. Takes away from and causes issues with G2 Tweaks when editing it to much.

Honestly there are a number of things I know I am forgetting. So wont worry about that. Will upload tomorrow.

That looks like a epic rom. If it includes fixes like camera and Youtube HD it might be the best rom yet.

its a step below 4.4.4 now but not by much. actually 4.4 is more restrictive in regards to sdcard access and other things. I think 4.1.2 slimbean runs circles around anything we got outside of stock. it was a sweet ROM. I can only do so much but I suspect it will be a good build. the two are similar outside of slims settings options of course.

as for HD video. which native apps or third party are you not able to watch video in? need a better definition of what HD is for what we have. for instance in opera I can select HQ video and watch it fine. as you can see below. from what I gather HD at least for cm11 is 480p right? now I was under the impression that was as good as it gets.

Yeah, but YouTube will only do 360p. I believe that is the primary complaint. Don't know what other apps are doing.
