What and amazing app

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leeddev.fastvpn

Ive used this app its ad free and very fast servers. I really liked it
And yet in this same app's forum you are asking about implementing ads?

Are you just a user, as your first 2 threads imply, or do you have a connection to the app or its developer, as your third thread would suggest? If you do have any connection it is more honest to make this clear in your posts.

could USB be "partially" connected?

Nothing is designed to be partly connected, but if you have a bad connection for any reason (contacts only just touching, dirt or corrosion on the contacts, whatever) then less current can flow. So sure, a loose connection with a less than solid contact between the conductors could do this, and if there is wear on either the socket or the cable that's not impossible.

(BTW it won't have been a scientist who designed the socket or cable. That's an engineering problem.)

Thanks for this explanation

Can OPPO A54 run Magic the Gathering Arena?

Hello, Im looking for a new mobile and even tho i dont play a lot of games i really like mtga and my current device (Redmi Note 8) doesn't support it (i cant even find it in the Play Store. Looking for requirements its seems that the chipset may be a problem.
Looking for options i found OPPO A54 interesting (its really cheap) but im not sure if the processor (Snapdragon 480) is good enought.
Does anyone who owns the mobile could try to find it in the Play store, of if they play, tell me how it flows?
Thank you in advide =)
here is a list of supported devices.....keep in mind that not all devices are listed due to the variety of android phones that are out.
https://mtgarena-support.wizards.co...Supported-Mobile-Devices-Minimum-Requirements

here is the recommended specs:
Android Version: 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer
RAM: 4GB or more
Graphics API: OpenGL ES 3.0
Texture Compression: ETC2

Recommended Chipsets
Kirin 960 -or-
Snapdragon 835 -or-
Exynos 8895

the OPPO A54 comes with the snapdragon 480 which is much lower than what is recommended.
https://www.phonearena.com/phones/OPPO-A54-5G_id11738

according to https://www.xda-developers.com/magic-the-gathering-arena-android-ios-launch/
"The list of recommended devices included phones featuring flagship chipsets from 2018. So the game should run fine on most modern mid-range Android phones."

you need to look for mid to higher end chipsets, if you want it to run smoothly. the graphics and texture compressions most phones should be able to handle the Magic's specifications.

Help How to Know if a microSD card is DEAD

SD Insight WAS great in the day and I used it a lot... but modern Android versions don't support it. I use Fake Device Test and it will tell you if (a) your card is legit; and (b) what the true capacity of it is. You can set it to literally write a bit into every single storage space and count them. I bought a 1 TB microSD card (the largest currently available) and it took quite awhile: but it's worth the peace of mind!

How to add webview implementation option

Hi all,

I have a non-rooted android 7 with some custom firmware (its an herelink controller from cubepilot for the curious/if its relevant) where I run my custom app that relies on webviews to show streams through webrtc, and its not being able to play.

With chrome I can open the stream with the same encoding, so I'd like to try that as a webview implementaton and see if it fixes.

It didnt come with chrome installed or playstore, so I adb installed chrome, but it's not showing up as an alternative for the webview.

How can I make chrome appear as a webview implementation alternative?

Thanks

How to open the exact URL in the App created using inAppBrowser

Hi Developers,

I have created the inAppBrowser using ionic and Cordova and then extracted the apk and built the android app. Now when I am clicking on any link from the mail it has to open the corresponding page in the app that is created. I used the intent-filter but it is directing to the initial page instead of the page I wanted. Can someone help me out with this?

Phone doesn't charge in car

Actually I've just come across reports of some Pixel 6 and 6 Pro not working with third party chargers. If this is a consequence of a software update then it's not inconceivable that it might affect other devices, though so far there are no reports.
I spend much of my free time on Google's support forums, and it sounds like a lot of those reports were from users using non-PD chargers. Many assumed that the USB-A rapid chargers they'd used with OnePlus or Samsung devices in the past would work fine with the Pixel 6 phones, and they do not. Pixel phones don't support any rapid charging outside of PD and a standard USB-A charger just may not do the trick.

512 gb sd card

There should be some Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales going on now. But rather than just concentrating on price, best to stick with one of the major name brands (Samsung, Sandisk etc) and only buy from one of the major chains preferably in person at the store. Buying these online from Ebay and even Amazon can result in getting a fake.
For a phone you don't need the absolute fastest card available, the phone won't be able to take advantage of the full capability and it will operate at a lower read/write speed anyway. Any Class 10 SDXC card should be fine for this application.

Help Stuck In Developer Mode, Screen Messed up

If you can cast your screen to an external display maybe that won't be messed-up?

Attach a mouse (via a USB OTG adapter) and see whether you can change it that way? My idea is that the mouse will show an on-screen pointer and so you can see what you are actually clicking on.

Boot into recovery mode and factory reset. You'll loose any data on the device you haven't backed up, but it should delete any user settings, which hopefully will include your messed-up display settings.

This is why I would advise against messing with display settings unless you know exactly what you are doing. It's also why desktop operating systems generally have the sense to revert to earlier display settings after 10 seconds if you don't confirm that you are happy with the changes, but I've never assumed that Android has that type of protection built in (as with rooting, the general philosophy with the developer options tends to be "if you know enough to get to this setting we assume you know what you are doing with it" - a pleasant change from all of the babying "are you sure?" that so many operating systems respond to everything you try to do with, but carries risks too).
