By giving device admin access, the permissions tab greyed

As Mike has said, the reason you got no answer is probably that nobody felt they could answer it. But a few quick comments on this list:
I will list the information, so that anybody well versed in the android app developer programming may give an idea.
1. Does an app , need all the permissions of the android world to get it work?
What permissions an app needs depends on what the app does. No app needs every permission. Many apps ask for permissions they don't need (I usually advise people not to install apps that ask for unnecessary permissions, but you need to understand the permissions well enough to judge what an app might need).
2. When user give admin permission, does the device is greying the permission tab? I hope not.
I honestly don't understand this question.
It may be a Samsung software thing (I don't have a Samsung device, and they change the user interface completely), but I'm not certain what "permissions tab" you mean. In my system settings I can set or deny permissions for apps which I have granted device admin rights to just the same as I can for any other app.
3. Is there any sort of mechanism, on play protect scan, to check that only required permissions have been used by the apps in .
You mean do Google scan what permissions an app actually needs and reject it if it asks for more? No, they don't: there are definitely apps in the Play Store that ask for permissions that are not needed for their function.
4. We usually found apps are being deleted after users are affected by malicious apps, that were allowed by play google not at the time of install, but after use by the users as stealing personal information and advised to delete those apps
That is a statement rather than a question. But yes, when an app is detected to be malicious and Google realise this is the case they will delete it from the Play Store. They can remove it from devices that have installed it, but I don't know how often they actually do (they certainly don't do it in all cases). If you have actually seen this happening, and seen it happening regularly, then you are clearly browsing the wrong type of app because it isn't all that common.
Ok, let me come to the permissions of the app,
the permission the app sought are
Device & app history
  • retrieve running apps
Other
  • bind to an accessibility service
  • update component usage statistics
  • receive data from Internet
  • view network connections
  • full network access
  • run at startup
  • draw over other apps
  • control vibration
  • prevent device from sleeping
  • modify system settings
  • install shortcuts
  • uninstall shortcuts It almost has all the android permission list. Experts please reply
Er, yes. And? I've no idea what app you are talking about, so no way of judging whether the permissions it asks for are reasonable.

scrabble

Let's say you get your tiles and you can spell "VALLEY". Is it legal to play "ALLEY" your first turn and then add the "V" your second turn? Assuming no double word score squares or anything, you would end up with 20 points over 2 turns instead of 12 in 1 turn. Would it really be worth it (obviously in this example it's not a very high-scoring word, but you get the idea)?
Yes, it's a perfectly legal scrabble move. Of course it assumes that nobody else makes a move in the meanwhile that prevents you doing this on your next turn (either places their own V or else puts another word down that doesn't leave you space to add the V). And whether the extra 8 points would be worth it would depend on what else you could have done instead (which you won't know until you draw those extra 5 files).

Root [GUIDE] How to Root the OnePlus One

Sorry guys, I know 6 years are gone and the OPO is obsolete. Also mine broke a bit the case due to battery expansion for heat. Anyway I am thinking to use its processor to make some long computations. I have an executable and waht to run it (this is not apk, no input, only some numbers output to a file) from a terminal. The problem is to change its rights to executable and someone said I have to be SU and that I have to root it. If you have any other solution please let me know, otherwise please let me know if your procedures still work considering that the OS is 6.01 and also that the sw you mention in the guides are now quite different I suppose. Which solution would you suggest taking into account that I am not expert of Android/linux etc?

Xgody 9T pro not loading apps

I found an online site "whatismyandroidversion.com" which has identified 9 Pie as the operating system. Since this is an independent site it leaves me even more confused.

That's only going by what the browser tells it, via the Browser ID String. Which I suspect has been doctored as well. Suggest you try one of the diagnostic info apps I posted, like CPU-Z.

It's really what's in the YT video review @Hadron posted, that I saw what this thing really is. Specifically the Settings screen, which looked very spartan for Android 9, but is typical for Android 4.x.

Then there's this....
xgody.jpg

Apparently the Android security patch level is two years before Android 9 even came out?
The Baseband identifier string corresponds to the discontinued Mediatek MT6580 SoC. See my previous comments about Xgody using old or recycled parts.
Also the 3.10 Kernel version, which is from 2013 and was used in Android 4.x.

Of course that's in addition to having the stock Android 4.x icon set, I've already mentioned.

If it looks like a lemon, smells like a lemon, tastes like a lemon, then it very likely is a lemon.

I didn't buy from Wish or Ali Express and I have heard of Xgody. I would be fascinated to know how you could tell what OS my phone was running from the rather scanty information I have posted

I'm familiar with Xgody in China, theirs any many other cheapo products are usually sold by street sellers and night markets around here, along with the counterfeit iPhones and knock-off Gucci bags, etc. :D The Xgody in the video was bought from Wish. Whereas the mainstream brands like Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony, Apple, etc, are sold in reputable brick'n'mortar stores, or online directly from the manufacturer.

recommend app that gives the tower information on home screen

Hi, I searched and tried lots of app. they simply show in map inside the app. What I need is tower information of place of the service provider atop home screen . Nokia older versions gave that in their initial versions.
It was useful , when you travel to places. You could see the place of your moving train, when you cross the tower and the exact place of knowing where you are nearing. It was a useful feature.
But now, I am using samsung phone and this information is not available readymade , but I see so many apps in playstore, but none give that information.
They only show in map inside their apps, which is not a easy way

Will "Lack Storage Booting" erase data?

Thank you, I've tried the "wipe cache partition" but that didn't do the trick. But I can try your suggestion.

So far from what I've found on Google it doesn't sound like L.S.B. will delete data. Most of the Google search results are from other group posts so just want to be 100% sure before I try it .

Android Help

HI! I have an android that is newly setup. I am seeing two sets of screens with identical widgets and icons. Example I have two messenger apps, two chrome browsers. Is it easy and how do you switch between accounts or ? On the history I have noticed that on some it pulls from " UNKNOWN DEVICE " and on some it pulls from SM-G781V. Can some one explain what is going on.
Are we talking about on your home screen? The apps you see on your home screen are just shortcuts like on a computer. You can just long press them and remove them from the home screen.

And what accounts are we talking about switching?

And what "history" are we talking about? Where are you seeing this?

True antireflective screen protector, NOT matte

Newly released Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 phone camera protector features Gorilla DX glass with AR coatings :) It helps let in more light, reduce ghosting halo in images around bright light and also is more scratch resistant almost like sapphire crystal which is hardest mineral used in displays. I'm getting it to replace camera protector for Huawei P20 PRO and later also P50 PRO. There are no yet phone screen protectors but Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 screen will use even better Gorilla DX+ crystal glass.
