Help Is there an app with this icon for notifications?

There are a vast number of butterfly-themed apps in the Play Store (try searching for "butterfly" in there and you'll see). I imagine that many of them can produce notifications. Sadly that means that you will be very lucky if anyone can recognise this particular icon: as is often the case, if you really want to know the simplest way would be to ask the person whose phone you saw it on (these questions usually concern icons on someone else's phone, so I'm assuming that yours does too).

Help Which dpi edition of an apk should I select?

As I don't know what phone you've got and what DPI value it is, I say try the various DPIs until you find one that installs and works correctly on your device. If in doubt, use the "nodpi" one might be aright.
Okay, I see. The 'nodpi' edition should work for my device.
The resolution of my device is 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display size is 6 ". So, I think the dpi should be 367.

Behavior of kiosked apps alongside splitscreen / multi-window

I'm investigating a feature which leverages Android's multi-window / splitscreen feature, but am seeing that it doesn't seem to work while an application on the device is in Kiosk mode. Is this expected, or configurable? Thanks!

I'm not a dev, but AFAIK when an Android device is in kiosk mode, it's locked to running just one app in full-screen, e.g. I've been to museums that use tablets in kiosk mode for guides to their exhibits, where they don't want patrons exiting their museum app and messing things up. So basically kiosk mode means no split-screen or multi-window.

Ordinary users with their own devices, shouldn't usually be using them in kiosk mode.

Can't access android beta

I'm not sure where you got that information from but system updates are controlled by the manufacturer and carrier of the device
The beta opt-in for pixels works a little different.

@mrtom, I haven't used a pixel in about a year, so I don't remember if the beta was available right after joining or if I had to wait for the next beta release. As @kate mentioned above, maybe wait a few more days. I know some folks running the 12 beta and they aren't really happy with some of the bugs, so a few days may get you a more stable version. ;)

Oh, and finally, I moved this to the 4a(5g) forum in case the issue is device specific. Good luck!! :)

How to disable flash with ring?

Settings > Accessibility > Hearing > turn on Flash Notification.

from here:https://www.lifewire.com/make-notifications-use-flash-on-phone-4169932

There is no such setting on my phone.
I submitted the question to: I cannot find the setting to disable the flash when ringing.-Motorola Community (lenovo.com)
The suggestion to reset all App preferences solved the problem.

Cases Do NOT under any circumstances root the RCA tablet, and here's why.

.... Hence the reason I now advise people that want to flash their ROM's or root their devices to never do it, unless of course the 'custom' ROM was created by ripping the stock ROM, modding it, .....

But in this matter the problem you ran into is very anecdotal. Simply because this happened to you does not mean it also applies to everyone else, so spreading gospel to 'never try' is misleading advice. The fact is, there are countless instances where people have successfully rooted and/or use custom ROMs. At least provide some context to your 'advice', blanket statements rarely have substance.

Annotating a view only pdf???

Is there any way of annotating a "view-only" pdf using Samsung Notes? At the moment it's not letting me but I maybe doing something wrong. If not, is there ANY annotation app that can bypass the view-only pdf rule?
And if not that, is there anyway to make a "view-only" pdf, editable?
Hope you can help!
Well you can easily head over to a different format, like I have imported so many of my pdfs to WPS and they have a free program build in to annotated in that sugesstion, also you can really edited it to your heart desire :)
I have been using Samsung notes forever!

Import external Java class in Android Studio

I have an Android project with its root folder at `C:\Users\myname\Documents\MyApplication`. In one of the Java files in my project, I would like to use a Java class located in the file `C:\Libraries\SomeClass.java`. How do I do this?

I tried going to File > New > Import Module... and selecting `C:\Libraries` as "Source directory", but it says it's not a valid project. But I don't want to import an entire project, I just want to import one file.

Multiple names under one saved contact

That's not how contacts are set up. You can have two contacts "Joe Smith" and "Sam Jones" and enter "Johnson Trucking" as the company under each contact. The people app doesn't support multiple names. You'll need to come up with a workaround using existing fields, but the phone will only display certain fields on the caller ID.

You could make the 'name' the company name, and then have the two employees listed in another field like 'title' or 'notes'. If they have different phone numbers you could also list each phone number under the company, and then give the phone numbers a custom name (instead of home or mobile) and enter the two employee's names. You can do the same with email addresses for each.

ie...

Name: Johnson Trucking

phone:
800-555-1212 : Joe Smith
800-555-1213 : Sam Jones

email:
jsmith@jtrucking.com : Joe Smith
sjones@jtrucking.com : Sam Jones
The Sony Ericsson K700i I used had this feature I could open a contact XYZ company under which I could save up to 10 contact numbers with 10 different names. I don't think the OS was symbian

Help Photos: sync-related chaos

All photos are synced to #1. I only switched to #2 temporarily to try to resolve the issues that arose after Google apparently switched to #2 without my realization.
But that is the gist of your problems, you need to pick one Google account as the sole, primary one to maintain your photo library.
At this point, it sounds as if both the photo collections within each Google account are mixed up with each other in a varied combination of unique and duplicate files as each tried to sync up with your photo library. I'd suggest you pick one and only one of your Google accounts as the one management account, then log into your two Google accounts on a desktop/laptop using the web interface to clean up your photo collections in each account, merging them into one, central source for your photo library. Using the larger screen on a computer might be easier to do this kind of project than on a phone.
