I agree with you, I am also not very good at creating codes, but I also asked for help from my friend-colleague.
He said that my project was too difficult to do with javascript , and he offered me 28Msec so that I could find the web hosting I needed instead of using AFAIK. So I have been using it since January and so far everything is fine. So before you try to do this, find out if AFAIK can pull this hosting emulator in javascript... although maybe if you were able to somehow do it on the javascript engine, then share with me how you did it! I'll be really interested to hear about it..

Oh, I can relate! To some of it, anyway.

I get mail addressed to my mother, offering everything from life insurance to credit cards, hearing tests to funeral plots. Mom died in 2013.

I get mail addressed to my brother. As above, plus information on planning for Medicare. He died in 2014. He'll never see 65--he killed himself at 56.

My mom, I was really proud of her, and I've written about her before, I'm sure. She used computers from their early days--BUT they always ran the dreaded micro$oft so-called operating systems. She did everything, from e-mail to playing games. When she was 80, I wiped window$ off her computer and replaced it with my favorite Linux distro, Kubuntu. She asked what I was doing and I said I was upgrading her computer.

Afterward, with no instruction, I let her have at it. I had configured it to only have one desktop--since that's all window$ users could have, and I didn't want her getting confused by accidentally switching to another desktop--and I made its UI familiar to her, with a taskbar on the bottom, a cascading menu, etc. I installed things she was already using, like SeaMonkey (or whatever it was called back then) browser and e-mail client, games that I thought she'd like, an office suite, etc. She had ZERO problems. Her one ongoing complaint? "It's too fast!!" She couldn't believe that her slow, cumbersome computer had magically turned into a fast, blazing, easy to use version. Loved it!

never had google duplicate my photos. it will only sync with anything new. if they are duplicating then something is wrong.

does it do this on every place where you need to type? or only on certain apps? have you tried rebooting the phone? also try wiping cache and data for the keyboard as well as any app where this is happening.

I don't think there's any specific app that does that, but maybe it could be implemented with Tasker or Macrodroid? And something like this will very likely not be useful in an underground or multi-story car oark.

Thanks for your response. It's not quite the feature I was looking for. The "keep screen on while viewing" feature only works if it's detecting your face. If you look away the screen sleeps again. Maybe that's what Smart Stay does anyway, but I was hoping for a solution that would allow for the screen to stay on during an ongoing call until I ended the call. BTW, I use Bluetooth earbuds and want to be able to keep the numeric pad visible during a call. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks again.

As a side note, where I work many of the guys use Google assistant.
Lately it has not been working well for them.

I never use it, finding that it is so much quicker to just open my browser and do a manual search for what I want, rather than argue with Google junk for 10 minutes first then giving up and doing it that way anyway.

I don't know...well I do sorta.

I know my phone has settings for wireless calling but not accessible through standard means, I cannot drill down through settings to find them, instead I have to ask google to "take me to my wireless calling settings"...or use a third party app to access it. It seems to be a hidden menu inside the network area where it should reside. AND according to the manufacturer's recent 2020 update log they added functionality for all wireless calling...which was previously only available on certain carriers in certain places. SO, supposedly yes, it supports it and while it may be a International model(which I did not know, it was totally sold to me on Amazon 2 years ago as a US phone for US carriers including 100% support for AT&T). I have literally never had this phone not be able to do a thing I wanted to do until now...and really the only reason I want wireless calling is because my bank is being lame and not allowing Authentication for phones via anything other than text...and I live in the boonies with no signal for MILES...and it would be nice to use text/talk features on my phones that supports all my blue tooth headsets.

Anyway I digress. Thanks for the hint though. I will be visiting the AT& T store and trying a new sim out, to see if it is the 4 year old sim card I am using or not...it is from my old phone and it is BYOP(bring your own phone...sim). We shall see.

I have rebooted it multiple times since the last update. This seems to be the only issue.

Simply having the GPS radio enabled doesn't really use any power unless an app is actively polling for a precise location fix. It's not like Bluetooth which constantly scans for devices in range. GPS is completely idle until it's being used by an app.

Tasker may be able to automate it but I'm not sure it's really worth the effort. In fact, Tasker checking for conditions may wind up using more power than the idling GPS would.

that's a good point about tasker.....and i agree with about gps......i just wonder if it affects the s7 more being it is pretty old by now and does not have a removable battery.
