Chrome and Gmail changed for tablets?

I have a Samsung T590 galaxy, and after a recent update it seems Chrome and Gmail have somehow reverted to the phone versions.

I can't work out how to get the column view on Gmail (list of emails on the left, body of email on the right.

Well, if you tilt your tablet to a "landscape" position (if you see what I mean) , then you will see both the list of emails and the message. It seems to be a matter of geometry.
Out of curiosity, do you get the latest gmail app version on your tablet? I am having trouble with updating my gmail app at all. My phone has an updated gmail version from November, but my tablet app version is from June. I don't understand why.

Help Malware/Spyware HELPCan someone look at these pics of font service and running apps

Thank you, notallowed. appreciate it. Thiers so much bloatware on these phones and google tracking everything we do..
can't wait for more Linux phones to come out
you can always get a phone that is rootable and root it. you can then put on lineage os which is mostly pure android with no google apps installed.....something to think about in the future.

unfortunately your device now does not have lineage os available yet. there might be a way to root it and get twrp( a custom recovery), but you can't really do much other then delete some stuff which is maybe something you might be still interested in.

Clock on Home Page

yep definitely get a different launcher......i would also recommend nova which is free, but the prime version is well worth the extra money. with nova prime, you have so much customization that the phone will feel like a totally different phone. it will not slow your phone down or take up any room.....i highly recommend it.

also adw is another popular launcher as well.

Help WhatsApp messages overriding Do Not Disturb?

Turn off your Internet while you turn on DND or you can even disable notifications for Whatsapp so that you don't get any notification.
Not really ideal, would prefer to just have it work and not have to use some workaround like these
Well it shouldn't be doing that, and WhatsApp hasn't done it on any devices I've had. Maybe there's an issue with it on your particular phone or tablet?
It's a Samsung Galaxy A50, if that's any help

Tablet not responding

I left my 2 year old Samsung 10 inch tablet on standby last night. This morning the screen is blank and it won't respond to the power button at all. Short push, long push, push and hold for 2 minutes ... nothing. Power button and "volume up" together .... nothing.

I know it is live because it beeps when I push in the charging cable but the screen does not respond.

Any sugestions beyond pull the back off and disconnect the battery to force a hard re-set?

Is it possible the touch screen has just chucked it in overnight?

Nay help gratefully received,
David.

Rooted my Pixel 3a, now I want to install android again - is that possible?

Factory images should work. Perhaps it might be easier to just flash an android custom rom first. If you can fastboot boot twrp recovery you should be able to flash a rom. Then if desired, maybe try and go back to the stock image from there.

I'm not sure if I can fastboot on it. I will have to try it later and report back... Here is to hoping it works!
