Calendar - storage location

Go into your Settings >> Apps menu, find the Samsung Calendar app entry and open that. Tap the Force stop button and then the Disable button. It's a pre-installed, system-level app (by Samsung) so you can't just uninstall it like an app that you install and want to remove. But if you at least Disable it, at that point it won't be running needlessly in the background.

Need a list of apps that are safe to disable.

Yes, but none of those are irreplaceable. There are non-Google alternatives to anything that I actually want to use, and I already use alternatives, usually open source, more than I use the Google stuff. Banking is probably the one exception, but even there I really only use one app to verify a login, and that's just a convenience as there are other methods available. Hence removing Google completely is an option for me.

So for me Android is the platform. Google are an optional convenience that comes with serious creepiness, and are always under review.

Help I can't install any roms now.(ERROR 7)(Solved)

I just had the same problem With the Nubia NX591J and the MK90.0 rom. First of all I discovered I had too old of a version of TWRP loaded 3.1.1. After loading that, what a hassle, The rom loaded ok but then I ran into the Unauthorized. I need that fixed to be able to load the Gapps package on the phone. My mistake, I should have loaded that before. Well to fix that I just boot the NK90 turned on debugging and that seems to fix that. Went back and loaded the Open Gapps ARM64 9.0 Pico and Magisk 20.4 and we are rooted and cooking loading all the apps back on. Thanks for the Forum, this post may lighten the load for someone who got stuck with a Nubia 591 and 7.1.1 with a security level of jun 2017.

Screen recorder audio

Android only allows one app to use the mic at a time.

Screen recorders generally record audio through the mic, and your phone call is already using the mic.

So that is why you are having the issue.

But some screen recorders offer internal recording of audio- not from the mic.

If your device can do this, (not all can) then this would be the solution.

https://troones-recorder.en.uptodown.com/android

Set the video resolution to your screen resolution, and set the audio to internal instead of mic.

Screen recording with 2 separate recorders?

Ive been searching for an app that can do internal audio recording and there is just really no such thing except for the one that comes with my phone

https://troones-recorder.en.uptodown.com/android

In the audio settings, you can select internal or mic as the audio source.

As for the video quality, there are many settings that should suffice to make a good/excellent recording.

If it won't record, set the video resolution to match your screen resolution.

Recording internal audio without recording from the microphone

Some screen recorders seem to offer this function, but I think you need root for it to be possible.

Since I don't have root, I really don't know.

https://troones-recorder.en.uptodown.com/android

This is the screen recorder that I use.

In the settings, there is the option to record from internal rather than the built in mic.

As this setting exists, I have to think that it must be possible somehow.

Perhaps this can be a start as to finding the method.

Help I have a how to question regarding an old Nexus 7

To remove your Google account from this phone you need to go into the Settings >> Accounts menu:
https://support.google.com/android/answer/7664951?hl=en

As mentioned in previous posts, a Factory Reset will not change your phone back to an earlier OS version, All it does is wipe the user data, it does nothing to the operating system. The internal storage of your Nexus 7 is divided into several partitions with most of them dedicated to the installed Android OS, and largest one is set up to be the user data partition. A Factory Reset only wipes that user data partition clean, it doesn't have any affect on any of the system partitions.

You referred to the phone being unstable after a system upgrade. Did you try wiping the system cache partition? That's a commonly recommended thing to try after something like a system upgrade (note that's becoming more of legacy thing as newer versions of Android devices no longer have separate system cache partitions).
Anyway, wiping the system cache isn't something done in the Settings menu, you need to reboot your Nexus into its Recovery Mode, instructions on the process here:
https://support.google.com/android/answer/7664951?hl=en
Remove your Google account in the Settings menu, then reboot it into Recovery Mode to do the wipe system cache partition and a Factory Reset. Then after restarting normally see if the phone is running normally again.
At some point you'll probably want to set up somebody's Google account in order to be able to access the Play Store.

No notification sounds for calls, texts, etc.

My appologies for not knowing more info.

My good friend a state away just got a Samsung A20, and he says that there are no sounds for any calls, texts, or other ways of messaging.

I have little experience with Samsung, and am hoping someone with this device or similar can help.

As he can't tell when he gets messages, it is hard to get information from him.

I will try to get more, and post it here.

Thanks in advance.

Upgrade or Keep

Getting a phone with the plan usually means locked and 3rd party garbage. Though can get it unlocked when contract it done.

Debated buying an unlocked phone, or even a refurbished one off Amazon but in Canada, a refurbished s10 is $870, and a new one with the 2yr contract comes out to $720. So price wise makes sense to get it with the plan.

kombucha....anybody???

ok first batch of fizzy kombucha that i made was a disaster. i let the 2nd fermentation going for too long. they should have been in for 1-2 days. i let them ferment after flavoring for 4 days!!!!! and the build up of CO2 was just to much. i thought i could release the gas slowly but when i tried it the pressure just exploded. i had blueberry pulp all over my kitchen and ceiling....WHAT A MESS TO CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!

i also put way to much of the flavoring in. there was too much sugar which produced more gas. so i'm gonna try again. i'm about to brew some more tea and try again.
