The only 2 apps that ever game me this issue was facebook twice in the past year and now messenger now. Eventually the facebook apps updated, so hopefully the messenger will too. It's odd that it wants me to connect to wifi even though i have mobile data or wifi selected for updating apps. Thanks for you response.Try clearing the caches of Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Google Play Store, and Google Play Services.
Then open Google Play Store and try again.
If it still won't work, then clear the data from Google Play Store and Google Play Services.
Open the Play Store, and go through and reset your settings.
Wait for the security updates to complete, about 5 minutes or so, then try again.
If it still has problems, is there a possibility that you could have gotten an update from a different app store?
The app IDs are sometimes different from store to store, so one store may not be able to update an app from another store.

have you tried to reboot the phone? do you have a custom launcher like nova or adw?Has anyone experienced widget failure after the most recent updates. Widgets won't add to any page and the page has no X to draw to remove. Completely undesirable...probably the last Samsung android we will buy. Updates are great as long as they don't assume you want any changes to your home screens.
Per your screenshot, it's actually creating...something...named IMG_PURCHASE. Where it is, and what it is, are not clear to me, although you're calling it an album.
When you say that it's in your 'gallery,' what exactly do you mean? Are you seeing it only when using a specific gallery app? If so, what app is it?
Have you used a file manager to actually locate where IMG_PURCHgalxey s7ould ve
Just to be clear, you installed it, but now in your System Settings, its only option is 'disable' [not 'uninstall'], but it's grayed out so you can't disable it? Uh-oh!I obviously installed some dogey app and now I keep getting spam notifications and when I go on the site setting to disable it its blacked out and wont let me disable it

Before I say that it sounds like a catastrophic failure of your hardware, let me ask you this: have you tried multiple apps? For example, multiple media players, such as VLC, to verify that the video/music problems are not limited to certain apps? Does your microphone still work? Use a voice recording app, such as Easy Voice Recorder, to test talking.Just at random this afternoon I noticed my phone wouldn't play a video on snapchat so I checked my gallery and no videos will play. I tried music too and found that it rapidly skips through titles but no songs play.

The voice typing options in Google and on my keyboard will not function either.
Your post is a little vague, but I think your best bet for getting help is by asking on our Android Development board. Please be as specific as possible! That will help other app developers guide you.I'm trying to get my app to self update, but the app is not on the play store, you get it from an apk file. I was thinking to use FileProvider to open the file but then I saw this Package Installer. However the documentation does not really provide any good examples on how to use this. Can someone help me out?
