Help Activity zone only works after restart

Looked EVERYWHERE for a solution to this problem to no avail. My entire activity zone stops working, meaning I cant access my volume/ringer, WIFI, camera, flashlight, etc. The only way I can reliably use anything in the activity zone is to restart my phone. Bought package disabler to try and see if that works but without success, clearing the cache and app data doesnt work either. Problem randomly appeared after a forced software update a few times ago. Before that, never had any issues. Now my phone cant take pictures without a 2-3 minute wait and I cant use it as a flashlight. If I'm in class and need to silence my phone, it doesnt work and I just need to turn it off. Super annoying, I find it hard to believe the only solution is restarting my phone, sometimes I need to do it multiple times a day.

Notifications issues

My Tecno Pouvoir 3 plus- is not popping up notifications
It's possible that an update may have changed your settings--this routinely happens to me under certain circumstances. Try checking [in System Settings] a few apps to see if their notification settings have changed.

If that and the other suggestions in this thread don't help, please give us a little more information, such as which Android version you're using, whether the alerts ever worked correctly, and if the problem affects all apps or just certain ones.

New board for interesting discussions?

Same here. And I'm convinced that this can work, *if* moderating is done diligently, consistently regardless of which member posted, and with an enforced zero-tolerance policy for infractions.

I honestly don't see why giving this a fair try is even an issue.

Make an entrance page for first-time visitors--that they must acknowledge--explaining its rules and policies, and then let it happen. Show no favoritism in moderating, adhere to the zero-tolerance policy, and see what happens. *shrug*
No kidding.

Google Android Updates!

If I thought that posting here would mean that Google would read it I'd have one simple request: re-introduce the feature where touching the fingerprint scanner on a phone that's already unlocked keeps the screen awake.

This is such on obvious feature that when it wasn't on the original Pixel 2 firmware in 2017 it was proof to me that Google were stupid. Then on the second update they introduced it, showing that somebody in the company was capable of either thinking about usability or listening to customers. But when Android 10 came out they removed it...

Now I get that the Pixel 4 doesn't have a fingerprint scanner (one reason not to buy it - sorry, but true). But that is no reason to remove it from other devices: that just shows a disregard for users. So if anyone from Google were to read this (and I do not assume that a member with the username Google is anything to do with Google themselves) that would be a very simple usability fix to put this feature back.

Samsung Keyboard keeps stopping

Since you're still seeing those notifications, even if it's not selected as your default keyboard that could indicate the app's process is still running in the background. Try going into your Settings >> Apps menu, find the Samsung keyboard app listing, and see if you can at least disable it. Then restart your phone.
Thanks for following up. Android seems to be different on the Tab and some of the things that you can do on the phone do not appear on a tablet and disabling the Samsung keyboard on my tablet is one of those things. However, the annoying pop up has now disappeared so all is great at the moment but thanks again for offering the suggestion.
