Texting issues

I have an android and a iPhone. sometimes when i text someone from my android there response shows up on my iphone. Can anyone help me resolve this issue
welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!

i'm not exactly sure i follow you. so when you text someone on your android phone, you do not see their responses back on your android phone? you only see it on your iphone?

can you provide us with an example maybe?

Google Chrome keeps popping up with some sites without permission

I might have installed some new apps recently, yes, although I did check that they should be having a proper rating in Google Apps. Is Adguard a trust able app?
A 'proper' rating?

Google is the largest supplier of adware and malware apps on Android. I literally look for my apps anywhere else first.

Google Play Store won't allow any real ad-blocking apps, as they violate Google's business model.
That pretty much says everything about Google.

Annoying Popup Can Anyone Help

I concur, delete anything Facebook. For more information about their despicable activities, have a read here...

You got that right!! Facebooks unethical business practices costs them a 5 billion dollar fine. Im guessing they made a hell of alot more than that harvesting our data. My question is we the costumes are the victims and yet wheres are compensation? Who keeps that 5 billion? No restitution for us thats for sure.

Error twrp

I installed it with odin, everything went well and he said yes if I wanted to finish root I said yes and then the screen gets purple and enters loop

Did you let TWRP flash root or did you actually use the install function to flash a root.zip file? If you let TWRP flash the root binaries on its own accord, I suspect that is what caused the issues you experiencing now. It happens all to often.
I have a rooted N4 n910p.
Another suggestion is make sure your installing the correct custom recover for your device and carrier.
If there are 2 options .tar and tar.sec most people use the .tar .
Download the latest version and if that doesn't work reflash your firmware, reboot and flash a lower version TWRP .tar.
Good luck

Note 10 battery Life

Just want to point out that whenever comparing older devices with newer ones, there's a lot of trade-offs involved -- newer gadgets will hopefully be more optimized and efficient but conversely things like larger, higher resolution displays and faster, multi-core CPUs and GPUs will tax any battery a lot harder. But not knowing just what kind of phone a 'Taccone' is, it's hard to compare its specs with a Note 10 Plus. If that Taccone did have similar capabilities and hardware specs as your Note 10 Plus, than yes doing a direct battery life comparison between the two applies. If it's instead something similar to just an old flip-phone, than such direct comparisons involve two very different categories of devices -- they may both be 'phones' but the former has a limited feature-set by design (requires little battery power), the latter has a constantly growing feature-set on top of faster, bigger hardware (requires much more power).

The Tracfone was an Android phone.

Help Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.

This “unfortunately camera has stopped” error is just a system bug that is not a big issue if you have stock Android installed. Usually a simple restart or clearing cache will fix this error.
Method 1: Restart phone
Well, this is a very straightforward step that could easily fix the camera has stopped error on your smartphone.

Method 2: Clear cache and data of your Camera application
Most of the time, the application cache may cause this error. To fix it, simply follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings >> Apps (or application manager) >> Swipe to go to “All”
  • Now scroll down the list of apps, and tap on “Camera”
  • Tap “Clear Cache” & “Clear Data”
  • Now restart your smartphone
Open the camera app and check for the error.

Problem Android Studio

Hi all!

I'm trying to start a course with Android Studio 2.2.1, but when I create a new project I come upon the error message:

failed to resolve com.android.support appcompat-v7 29

Also my Mainactivity.java gives me the error:

Method does not override method from superclass.

I've tried to add the Maven URL, but with no luck.

When I try to rebuild the project I get:

Error:A problem occurred configuring project ':app'.
> Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':app:_debugApkCopy'.
> Could not find any version that matches com.android.support:appcompat-v7:29.+.
Versions that do not match:
26.0.0-alpha1
25.3.1
25.3.0
25.2.0
25.1.1
+ 31 more

Does anybody know a solution for this, so that I can start learning to code in android please?
Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
