Developer Announcement Procedure
Install the Forum for Android app from Play store from link here >>, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapatalk.androidforumscom

Sign in to the forum using the app and follow below instructions

Go to the forums tab
Select "My Apps & Games"
Select your app from the list
Tap the green icon in the bottom right to start a new thread
Add a thread title / content and hit the post button (right pointing arrow in the top right of the screen)
Once this is done you can use your PC to create or modify threads in your channel

Once you create the channel using the app, one of us staff members will move your thread to the appropriate channel and or approve your post.

As long as it works I wouldn't worry too much.

I have a device that I use on Wi-Fi only, and when I am downloading apps from an app store it tells me that Wi-Fi is disconnected.

Wi-Fi is all it has, there is no SIM- no cellular service- and the downloads proceed just fine.

I'm interpreting this quite differently from @svim, i.e., that you're just wanting to know how to create an APK from an existing app. If that's not correct, skip the rest of this! :)

I create mine very easily--by using file managers that do it for me. :) It's an 'app backup' feature in them. (This has saved my ass in the past.) Note, though, that I basically only use paid apps, and wouldn't consider sharing their APKs with anyone.

I was a programmer and sysadmin on UNIX and Linux. Even though Android is a Linux, and writing apps for it should be pretty easy, my circumstances have changed and stuff like that isn't in the cards for me. Right now. :) So instead of learning how to do it myself, I let apps I paid for do it for me.

How Can I Find an IP Address For A FB Account?

Hello Leah.

Police are correct when they said they cant do much with an IP address. However they didn't tell you that they could easily approach the ISP and ask them details about the IP address and to whom it was assigned. Provided the IP is not masked or the user is not using VPN.

If you haven't found out the IP address yet, refer to this guide:

In the above guide, just follow the steps provided by the author and once you get the IP, Check the tracking part in the same article.

remember when you get the IP address of the user, It will also mention which phone or computer he is using and also carrier information. This becomes very easy when the culprit is one of your friends of family member as you can easily guess who is using that phone.

Try some ways:
- Check which apps are draining your battery
- Uninstall apps
- Never manually close apps
- Remove unnecessary widgets from the home screen
- Turn on Airplane Mode in low-signal areas
- Go Airplane Mode at bedtime
- Turn off notifications
- Don’t let apps wake your screen
- Turn off GPS when not in use
- Check app location tracking
- Enable Battery Saver Mode
- Decrease screen timeout
- Charge between 40% and 80%
- Get a certified or original charger
- Restart your phone
- Try a factory reset
If you try all but the battery keeps draining abnormally, absolutely you should replace your battery.

Being able to do that and actually doing it are very different things. As are hacking for recreational purposes, and cracking with devious intent.

As for the keyboard, my interest in it is far from new--I've used it forever [in Android time]. And although its name leads to misinterpretation, it's really just an excellent, full keyboard, intended for heavy users of computer keyboards who want their same functionality on Android.

Only receiving Gmail and Yahoo Mail when charging!!!???

Hello!! Just got a new Huawei P30 Pro (live in Spain) and am not getting alerts on my Yahoo Mail app when I receive a Yahoo email. I have been to a lot of forums and have tried everything, including the suggestions in the above comments. My phone (Android 9/EMUI 9.1.0) is in Performance Mode and not in Power/Ultra Power Saving Mode. In 'Battery Optimization', Yahoo Mail is set to 'Not Allowed'. All notifications are ON in both the Android apps settings for Yahoo Mail and inside the Yahoo Mail app itself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have 'Restarted' the phone itself numerable times. I have force stopped the app and cleared cache inside the app. When I started setting up the phone, I did not restore from a previous device. It was a fresh, clean 'install'. Both Android and EMUI are up to date. All apps from Google Play are up to date. I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Android SDK ROOT

Hello everyone,

When I start an emulator with Android Studio, I got the error saying that "ANDROID SDK ROOT variable isn't set".

After some days looking on how to solve this error, I still got it.

Here's what I tried:
  • Uninstall & reinstall Android Studio
  • Create the environment variables ANDROID_SDK_ROOT and ANDROID_SDK_HOME and set it to the SDK directory
  • Checking the SDK Tool to get the right location
  • Checking the tools installed (SDK Tools, SDK Platform Tools, Emulator)
  • Put the SDK directory to the root of C:
  • Updating the PATH environment variable, and adding "platform-tools" and "platforms" folder address to it
It looks like I've tested everyhting, but nothing works.
I have done nothing special to get this error, it "spawned" from nowhere.

The next step is installing Android Studio on a virtual machine and check if it works.

If anyone got any solution, that would be great.

How to get Bixby to recognize loss of Bluetooth connection

I have a Bixby routine that turns on the Android Auto app whenever my phone hooks up to my car's Bluetooth. That works great.

But I want Bixby to turn off Android Auto when the connection is broken (i.e. when I get out of the car).

I can't find a way to use loss-of-Bluetooth-connection as an "If", nor can I see how to get Bixby to exit the Android Auto app.

I really don't see any problems here, other than not being clear how the process works with pre-paid phones. Let me see if I can take this on issue at a time.

With pre-paid phone you are pretty much paying a nominal fee for a low-end communication device and then "filling" it with minutes and data. You didn't specify which $40 plan you went with but looking at T-Mobile's website they give you an unlimited text and voice option with 10GB data for that price. This is basically a month to month contract and at the end of the month the phone needs to be "refilled". For other types of plans, it operates more like an escrow account where you deposit $40 and as you use the device, the fees are deducted from the escrowed amount until you either use all the funds or they expire (usually 90 days, but all carriers vary.) Think of it as buying a car and having to put gas in it soyou can drive it.

How did you pay? Cash? Credit Card? Many times the contract paperwork is the only receipt you will receive.

Many phones, if turned off, will immediately boot (turn on) when supplied with charging voltage. And, many phones for security will perform a factory reset on first boot or when you swap sim cards. The "erasing" message you saw was a factory reset wiping the user partition. It doesn't indicate that there was a previous owner. Finally, all Li-Ion battery powered devices -- which would be pretty much every cell phone made in the last 5 years -- ships with a charge on the battery. If a modern battery is allowed to completely discharge, it could be rendered inert. Even when the phone reports zero charge, there is really a 15% ~ 20% charge left on the battery to keep it from being damaged. That's just the way these things work.

The sim card needed to be activated on the T-Mobile network for your phone to work with the new number. I'm surprised they didn't do that at the time of purchase, but I get the impression that you didn't even turn the phone on in the store. You just walked out with a phone in a box and a sim card.

If this was a new account (not a new number) you should have been told where to sign up. Normally you would use an email address as the user, or the account number, or possibly even the serial number of the phone. Now if you are told specifically that you are NOT the account holder for this phone number, it's quite possible that the clerk at the store didn't provision the number for you properly. I'm sure they recycle old numbers, especially on pre-paid devices, so you probably will need to go back to the store to get this straightened out, but I don't really see anything dishonest going on here.
