I suggest you post the URL to the firmware ZIP, so that someone who has the bandwidth maybe able to download, extract the required IMG file, and upload it somewhere like Drive.

yeah no worries......it should be accessible in your phone settings by going to settings>notifications>and just look for the symbol in the list. if it is not there then you should be able to pull down the notification bar on the home screen and see what the icon is.

it looks like it has been removed from the play store. this thread was started in 2016 so i do not even know if the developer is still developing or not.

On PC I save the pages that interest me easily, and then those files can be moved, but with the Offline Browser app, which say the best, there is the problem of transferability.

I've just discovered that if I edit the contact on my computer, the change is saved and an email drafted on the computer doesn't show the incorrect address.

But the changes are not syncing to my phone!

Does that provide a hint?

I have tried the cm launcher but there are other things inside that launcher and there are ads also. And I just want to change the app icons now in the drawer and am still trying to figure out how. Plus the icons I did find that I liked didn't have the full set of icons I needed even for basic apps. Which sucked so I remove the icon set. Wish they had the full set of icons but nope. So now I will still need to find the full set of icons and then still figure out how to change the drawer icons.

I need to use an SMB share from my NAS mounted to my Android Pie (MIUI 10.3) and access the file share from a bash script. I thought it would be a good idea to use the X-plore file explorer for the mounting and then use the mounted SMB file share from Termux. I can mount the file share in X-plore, but I don't find the mount point in the file system. Anyone knows where X-plore mounts the shares?
I do not even see where X-plore installs and stores user data.

It would be great for you, even though you don't seem to have a ton of personal stuff on your internal memory.

First, that is more than 1GB that can be moved out of the internal memory.

Second, it would allow for easy separation of your personal files.

Since you are on Android 6, I assume that you have a built in storage system setting that allows you to clear the system cache right from the phone storage page (see photo above)?

Just touch the cache area, and a notice saying that you will clear the cache should pop up.

Go ahead and do it, if you haven't already.

That can easily be up to or more than 1GB.

Now, go into your file manager, and look under your normal internal storage at a folder called DCIM.
Insure that 'show hidden files' is active on your file manager.
(Simple Mobile Tools makes an excellent File Manager, btw)

Inside, there should be a file/folder called thumbnails or .thumbnails
( . files are only visable if you have allowed 'show hidden files')

This is where every single thumbnail for each photo, video, avatar, ad, etc. is stored.

I have seen this useless junk file get to over 3GB!

Delete that crap.

Now back out one step to the DCIM folder, and add your own file-

.thumbnails

and save it.

This will prevent more thumbnails from being saved.

Yes, some galleries and video players really need thumbnails, and will start up slow without them.

If that is the case, get a new gallery and a new video player!

Once again, Simple Mobile Tools makes an excellent Gallery (pro version) and X-Player will play virtually any video that you throw at it.

Drawbacks?
Thumbnails allow for the retrieval of photos that have been deleted by accident.

But Simple Gallery Pro has a Recycle Bin, where everything you delete goes before it is permanently deleted.

So, no real drawbacks as far as I can tell.

Well... that now definitely confirms the rumours that have abounded for the last couple of months, that the OnePlus 6T T-Mobile (USA) carrier minority variant would not receive an update to Android 10 until Q1 of 2020, (Jan: - Mar: 2020).

I had the same problems as percifield in the above post but the solution they provided did not work for me.
I was about to give up and factory reset the phone. So to make the phone ready for this I backed-up all the media I had on the phone. Then I decided to try a few things.

What I did first was to open settings\storage and then "Format USB storage"
On the next screen, it says " Erase all USB storage? You will lose all stored data" with a button "Format USB storage"

After hitting the button a message pops up telling me this will erase all media (photos music etc) from the phone.
I proceed and after completing the operation I was able to access the gallery and I could see that it didn't actually delete any photos or music that I had stored but it did fix the problem. So I can now take photos again and remove and add new music to the phone again.

I really hope this helps someone else out there solve a very frustrating problem and stops you from buying a new phone when you don't need to.

I have rather liked South Park over the years, and there's a couple of episodes are my favourites, HumancentiPad, and the one about Scientology are absolutely hilarious. There was a recent episode called Band In China, that I liked.

it is a modified version of android. like @Dannydet mentions it will be around android 4 or so. it is not a complete version though as many things have been modified to it so it is hard to say exactly.

Version nine. Not sure if thats the problem though. Hithrto ive always gotten a different notification tone and iirc when i tried to turn up this laughing sound the volume didnt increase any.
