كيفI just got my Alcatel OneTouch idolx running 4.2.2 and it has been performing great, I am just having trouble connecting to my office's WiFi.
The security reads "802.1x EAP", and upon trying to connect I am asked for my credentials. Entering my username/password just puts me into a "Connecting... Saved, secured with 802.1x.. Connecting..." loop. Now I read a ton of threads before posting this and the general consensus was to download the Wifi Advanced Configuration Editor app, and so I did.
I followed these instructions:
In settings --> WiFi, add a network
SSID - the name of my offices network
Security - 802.1xEAP
Identity - my username
Password - password
EAP method - PEAP
Phase 2 authentication - MSCHAPV2
and save. Now over to the ACE app. I open the app, select the network I am trying to connect to, under "Key Management" I unselect WPA_EAP, leaving only IEEE8021X. Under "Enterprise Configuration" I fill in my password. These are the only two actions I have performed in the app. Completely back out of ACE, and try to connect again. No dice, same deal.
So i'm not sure what setting or step I am missing in this process. I do notice though that after backing out of the ACE app, when I go back in all the defaults are in the network I am trying to join. As in, where I had just unselected WPA_EAP in "Key Management", it has once again been selected. So maybe I am just having trouble with the app and saving my settings?
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!
I agree however it is really weird since the documentation says that WiFi Aware is available on Android 8.0 and above and on the Pixel. I will send an email to Google detailing the issue. Also, I am wondering if you have any idea as to why I get the NullPointerException with the WifiAwareManager and WifiAwareSession objects. Do you think it has to do with the lack of support? Let me know, thank you.
I mean before some updates when you were using the coins to refresh the skills and you had more. Now it's not happening
Really sorry to hear that.
Before you do anything else, try a Force Restart. Press and hold the Volume down key and Power Key simultaneously for 15 to 20 seconds. This simulates a battery disconnect. This should at least help in restarting the phone.
Below I'm laying out the steps for a hard reset, the initial steps are identical to clearing the system cache.Try clearing the cache and see if it helps. If not repeat the process and then do the hard reset.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key, Home key and Power key simultaneously. Do not release them till the phone opens up the Android System Recovery screen. This could take a while.
Once this screen (black with white lettering on top) opens, release the keys.
Use the Volume down key to highlight "wipe cache partition" and then select using the Power key.
Alternatively, to hard reset, use the Volume key to Highlight hard reset and use power key to select
Are you sure your phone has not automatically backed up to either Samsung or Google?
Yeah noticed the same on mine too. What can be the cause ?Assistant feature in Google go says "My games aren't ready usps tracking for prime time yet." What does that mean? Does anyone know when the games will be ready for prime time?
