Yeh, it could be a version name. Some Motorola Moto E4s were called "Perry". I've also seen "Jenkins" in some Chinese phones and tablets as well, which i think is the build system they used for the firmware.

Suggest you post some screen-shots, will give us a better idea of exactly what you've got there.

Also any studio recording made in the last 20-30+ years, is likely to have been done digitally anyway. CDs sometimes have "DDD" on the label, to indicate a completely digital process was used to produce it.

Yes, we know CDs are digital. Hadron mentioned that above as well. The thing is you can get higher quality sound from a FLAC over a CD. Not that one can discern the difference, but the facts remain...

LPs used to be considered better because they were already analogue therefore not needing to be converted to digital. Digital formats need a digital to analogue converter(DAC) which even our phones have.

I hope youve figured this out by now, but if you havent..... Its a setting with your car. It is set up to increase your volume to compensate for the increased road noise of traveling at a higher rate of speed. In my truck it i a setting I can access through the steering wheel menu buttons.

According to Android doc, an activity is created and not seen in creation state.

But then if you set a break point within onCreate() and Debug app. the activity can be fully visible. Why so?

How does the Moto G7 Power display a 4G connection? I'm seeing lots of forum chatter about this model not connecting well to 4G and I'm only seeing cell bars with no 3G or 4G superimposed. Not sure how this new phone should display a successful 4G connection. Anyone know?

First thing: have you tried rebooting the phone? There's no reason a service interruption (which is what this sounds like, as phone calls also stopped working) should do this, but if it's a glitch it might be that the SMS app is not displaying the messages rather than their being gone, in which case a reboot may fix it.

You could also try just installing another SMS app (e.g. Textra) and see whether it can see them (all SMS apps use the same database, so if one has lost sync with it maybe another would be able to see it).

If they really are gone and phone is new, can you re-transfer them from your previous phone or restore them from your backup (i.e. redo whatever you did to copy them in the first place)?

If they are actually gone and you have no backup, they are gone. There are many SMS backup tools available, so if this is important to you I'd recommend using one, but it won't help with this, only in future.

The S4 model was released in early 2013, if you haven't replaced the battery since then and it's the original one it isn't surprising to have quirky problems with it at this point. There's good and bad to replacing the battery though. The good part is the S4 has a user replaceable battery so it will be really easy to swap batteries -- just remove the back cover and the battery is right there, you might be able to just use a fingernail to do the whole process. The bad part is any after-market battery you buy for a S4 will be pretty dated too. No manufacturer continues to make new batteries for really old phone models, there's no financial benefit to do so, even on a small scale. So any S4 battery you buy now will have sat in storage completely idle and not maintained for years. A smartphone battery will age quicker when in active use but they also age, at a much lessor degree, when they're not charged at least periodically (after several months or annually). Just be sure that wherever you buy your replacement battery that there's a dependable replacement/restocking policy in the event you need to go through more than battery to find an adequate one.

You can't any more. The way android handles SMS has changed in the 6 years since this thread was active - more secure in some ways but it broke that function.

It's a known problem since March apparently, with many users reporting PUBG to be laggy on Exynos variant S10s. Snapdragon variant S10s seem to be unaffected.
