Just use Samsung's Smart Switch utility to migrate your data from your old S5 to your new S9+. It's less of a hassle transferring things manually.

You can do this by installing Smart Switch on a computer -- S5 to computer then computer to S9+; or just use the Smart Switch app installed on both phones and do the transfer via Samsung's integral S Beam technology -- S5 to S9+. I'd recommend using a computer, that way you have a full back up of your data. Backups are important, if some of your files only exist on your S5 it's really important to get a backup solution set up.
Be sure to check your S9+ thoroughly to ensure everything you need has been copied over, and don't expect perfection. You might still need to copy some things over yourself. And there could be issues with things like app data, depending on the spread between the Android operating system spread between your two phones.

"Draw over other apps" is not one of the permissions that Google offer individual control over even in Android 10, so if it won't accept "no" for an answer all I can suggest is finding a different keyboard.

(My wife's phone came with Touchpal, and she's generally not that particular about things like that, but a few months ago even she got fed up enough with it to replace it. It's been getting worse for years, and if this particular straw isn't the breaking point all of the evidence suggests that they'll come up with something else soon).

My just replaced Moto G4 also has (I kept it) a 5.5" screen and 16gb of storage with 2 gb of ram. Before that I lived with a Moto G 2013 with 8gb. it's amazing how many apps you can keep on some devices.They worked very well.

If it has all the features you need and you like interfacing with a Samsung, I do, you did very well.

The cheaper end of the market has much better devices these days

yep.....ran like a champ too....no issues after the update.

have you rebooted your phone? try it in safe mode and see if it still happens. if it does then i would do a factory reset. sometimes updates can get screwed up on either on the download side or during installation.

You can check whether Nokia has the defaulted migration app, like Samsung smart switch, on its official site. If not, you can use DoTrans, a software to transfer between iOS and Android. It only supports video, photos, contacts, audio. As for the apps, you need to re-download.

Do you mean that you can't install PowerPoint on your phone, or that some app of yours can't open PowerPoint files?

System sounds often live in the ROM (e.g. /system/media), so you may not be able to do that with a file explorer without rooting the phone.

This seems to be different from how it worked on my old Samsung S7 Edge. On that phone I just set Do Not Disturb manually and the phone did not ring if a call came in, but the settings description for the S7 specifically says that the phone will not ring while the settings description for the S10+ says no such thing.

If you don't like the GMail app (and I don't particularly like it either) just use a different one. There are a lot to choose from, and there's no need at all to use Google's app for GMail, or for anything. I keep it disabled on my phone.

I'm currently using Nine, which allows me to turn Conversation view on or off, shows me the recipient name in the Sent folder. I've previously used MailDroid, AquaMail and K9, all pretty configurable even if I can't remember exactly which options each has. Just try a few and see what you like (remembering that the views are only one element of an email app: I personally won't use one where the app company passes my mail through their servers, no matter what benefit they claim I derive from that).

As for hoping Google will listen to you, good luck with that - their attitude (not uncommon amongst tech companies) is "we know best", and you are supposed to fit into their mindset.

Unfortunately the symptoms are not specific enough to identify the cause. Going into recovery and clearing the cache might help. A factory reset is more likely to, but you lose any data that aren't backed up. But nobody can be sure: it might be that there's one specific thing you need to do to fix it, but we don't have enough information to work out what. Or it might be a hardware failure that's not worth the cost of repair. Just the fact that it's rebooting isn't enough to tell.

If there were any other problems before this please tell us, as that might give a clue.

What do you mean phone has stopped? So it does not work? Is it just on the lock screen? You might have to do a hard reset.

In that case you might want to check with your carrier to be sure the line is provisioned correctly and that the APN is configured appropriately.

I too used to face the same issue earlier while playing the game of PUBG then I lowered the graphics and FPS too. It works fine for me now. I won't say, its not like lagging at all but at-least the lag has decreased a lot from early time. Sometimes it's also due to the network connectivity or you can say slow network.

I would love to know if there's any other way to fix the lagging issue because this game is good but the lag issue gives a tough time.
