Using TensorFlow Lite in Xamarin.Android

I am attempting to use the Custom Vision feature of Microsoft Azure by exporting the data for TensorFlow Lite. I am able to use Custom Vision & export the labels.txt & model.tflite files successfully with no problem, my problem is figuring out how to write the app & use TensorFlow Lite in Xamarin.Android (NOT Xamarin.Forms) & C# (NOT Java). I found the following page:

Image Classification with TensorFlow Lite & Azure Services - Xamarin Blog (microsoft.com)

However, this page seems to use Xamarin.Forms, and I am obviously missing some of the steps when attempting to convert it to Xamarin.Android. I have added the following additional NuGet packages (if there are others please let me know):

Microsoft.Azure.CognitiveServices.Vision.CustomVision.Prediction
Microsoft.Azure.CognitiveServices.Vision.CustomVision.Training
Xamarin.TensorFlow.Lite

I have written many Xamarin.Android apps before, so I am familiar with most stuff usually involved in a Xamarin.Android app using C#. Can anybody help me or suggest a site with a complete example or tutorial (including required NuGet packages required for TensorFlow Lite)? (NOTE: I am using Visual Studio 2022, NOT Android Studio) Thanks!

How to fake gps location without mock location

thats way to specific and i do not see why something like this would be popular. maybe to you, but i doubt anybody has a reason to do this.

the problem is that the second app does not know that you are trying to fake your location. trying to get it to sync with the other app is not possible unless the apps know about each other and can communication with each other. you would need for the devs for each app to come up with its own server and be able to pull info from there in order for them to talk to each other. its not an easy process and i doubt the devs would agree to soemthing like that. especially if you are the only one wanting this.

......sorry its not going to happen.

Switching back phone numbers

There are different VoIP numbers, for such cases when you need to change, or just get a new number. Or, if you really like your phone number, then you can create yourself a number, for example on www.usechalkboard.com, make it the same as your old number, which is very convenient. Another obvious advantage of this phone number, is the ability to call from anywhere in the world, which in my opinion is very cool, since you do not have to constantly buy new cellular cards of the region where you arrived.

Help How to transfer whatsapp without google drive?

2 more questions,

Q1. If I have have a Whatsapp folder that was copied and save to my PC on 31 Jan 2018 and if I copy and paste this Whatsapp folder to the new phone, does it mean the new phone will load the the whatsapp messages before 31 Jan 2018 (newest message will stop at 31 Jan 2018)

Q2. What if I only copy and paste the Whatsapp/Databases folder without copy and paste any other Whatsapp files? Will I see old messages text history without photos and videos?

Thanks

New Security Feature Sucks

Some people would prefer consumers to shut up an take whatever they are given by those who SELL us a product; big business (and government) always knows best and does what is good for the little, stupid people, yes?

Even though I use security that isn't easily duplicated nor bypassed, it's reassuring that I have to enter my 4 digit pin every ~ 72 hours or so. If my phone somehow, though unlikely falls into the hands of someone else they have 72 hours max to get through fingerprint(s) and facial recognition to only be greeted by a pin only my wife knows.

Yeah, I'm fine with that.

BTW, buy stock in Reynold's Wrap, you're going to need it.

Using CameraX in Xamarin.Android

I am attempting to create my first Xamarin.Android app that uses the camera (I have already written many other apps that do not use the camera). I am writing my app using Xamarin.Android (NOT Xamarin.Forms) & C# (NOT Java). I have found documentation & samples related to Camera2 (Camera2 overview | Android Developers) & CameraX (CameraX overview | Android Developers), however, these were all either using Java or using Xamarin.Forms instead of Xamarin.Android. I would also like to learn to use TextureView to display the preview (although this would be my first time for TextureView as well, so if that is not appropriate for this thread is too complex, it is not the most important topic here). I know how to make all the standard parts of an app, it is just the camera that I need help with. Can anybody help me or recommend a good complete sample or tutorial that includes ALL components (including required NuGet packages, permissions & other things specific to a camera app)? I am also going to mention that I am using Visual Studio 2022 (NOT Android Studio). Thanks.

1-23-21 Still Holding Up!

I travel a lot in my RoadTrek 190P and 5G just isn't in enuf places on the road. 4G in my town is just fine and at home my Active goes VOIP because the 4G is terrible in my house. I especially like the ruggedness of the Active and the small size as I've said. I guess I'll wait and get all I can out of it until 5G become more instituted. Unless of course, the Pixel 8 or 9 keeps its waterproof rating and gets a bit smaller... ;-)

SpoofApp Released!

I haven't tried this because I know how disappointed I'll be when the trial runs out (and there's no way I'm paying for minutes).

I just wish there was at least a real-time voice changer app (I don't care about spoofing the caller ID) that was either free or paid-for. Minute-buying is too much for me though (I'm not complaining as I've read their website and understand why it's necessary).
Hey, can you tried the premium version of where can get the best information of it, so it will be helpful for everyone.

I finally received Android 13 but...

As I understand it we have to wait for the third-party app developers to start using themable icons.

Many Google apps have been updated since Android 12's release to support color theming; Android 13 makes that option available to all apps, but the app developers have to get on board. It will likely take 6+ months for the majority of apps to get updated for that.

Help No AndroidForums app in Playstore

You do not need the app.
The app has not been kept up with anyway.

My solution was to use a browser which is a derivative of my normal browser.

I set the browser to accept cookies, although not 3rd party cookies.
(If you clear cookies, then you will be logged out each time you close the browser.)
I logged in to Android Forums, set the following link...

https://androidforums.com/?thread_filter=new

as the homepage, and it works just as if it were a purpose made app.

In fact, because the browser allows for unlimited bookmarks and tabs, it allows me to share links and find things online to answer issues for people on this forum.

There are multiple versions of the browser that I use for this, and each one has different options.

Personally, I prefer an older version of one called Midori.

If you are unfamiliar with Lightning (the browser that Midori and others have came from), here is the original...

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/acr.browser.lightning/

This browser may very well become your mainstay browser.
It is extremely fast, and can be set up to be very secure.

You can have multiple versions of this app (they all have different names) and set the homepage to be any link that you choose.
This allows you to use the web version of a site, yet have the additional options that a dedicated browser can provide.

Some other derivatives of Lightning that are available are...

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.midorinext.android/

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.cookiegames.smartcookie/

I have used Lightning for years now.
It (as do the others) uses the Android System Webview that is built into every Android device.

Some devices use Chrome as the webview app, and so this should be changed in Developers Options.
Some devices will require the disabling of Chrome in order to change the webview app.

None of this is a difficult as it may seem at first.

A webview is an app that allows other apps to present material that is online.
When Android System Webview gets an update, the browsers that use it are basically being updated as well.
So don't expect constant updates to these browsers, as it is not necessary.

Wow. Thanks for so many thoughts on Android browsers. I will take a look

Connectivity problems

I'm having problems connecting via Bluetooth to a Huawei mini speaker and also Sound Republik earbuds. I have used both successfully but now cannot connect to either. Bluetooth is on and paired with both but cannot connect. I've tried with wifi on and off. I also cannot connect to my ipad
Can anyone help?
I’ve had a frustrating problem connecting my Phonak hearing aids to my Huawei P30lite mobile, but I’ve solved it thanks to help from the Phonak forum. I have the mobile and also an iPad (2017) and I after many searches it was suggested that I make sure that all other (ie the iPad) Bluetooth connections were turned off. Sure enough I had the iPad Bluetooth switched in. When I switched it off connection to my mobile was almost instantaneous! I was also given a link to a Phonak page which listed all mobiles which are compatible with my Phonak. Very useful.

Help Chrome - disable most visited (or suggested??) sites in new tab?

I don't understand anything in this reply - ram, desires, shifting, lingering?? Samsung A32. I want new tabs in Chrome to be completely 100% blank That's the only thing I'm asking. Nothing else. Let know if there's something confusing in that statement. "Blank new tab" is a standard concept; there isn't really any way to rephrase it. Maybe Google "blank new tab in Chrome" if it's not clear.

I'm pretty sure Chrome doesn't do that, well not without hacking and modifications. When I use Chrome, new tabs always load the default Google search page.

Help Where do I find key mapping files used by Gboard and/or Samsung KB?

I use a Bluetooth keyboard from Logitech generally using Hungarian QWERTZ

I have tried three keyboards two of which give the wrong character for "shift + 1", but a third does it correctly

- Samsung Keyboard wrong "!"
- Gboard wrong "!"
- External Keyboard Helper (Playstore app) right "'"

"shift + 4" on all keyboards produces "!", which is right

This leads me to think that:

- the Logitech keyboard may not be at fault (because the Playstore app works okay with it)
- Samsung and Gboard look to be at fault: why produce the same character with two different keystrokes?!
- Gboard might be using the mapping set by Samsung

I have the same problem on both S10+ and on Tablet S7

Are there any files I could check? Google and Samsung don't want to know about my problem
