Help Looking for testers for hands-free helper app

Not sure if this is the right place to find testers for an app that facilitates using a a hands-free device connected to your phone.
If you think this app could be useful to you, and are interested in testing it, please send me your email address in a conversation on this forum, and I will add your email address to the closed testers list in Google Play Console.

The app addresses the following problem, which I believe is relevant only for the more modern phones (at least 2020?): The hands-free device cannot dial out when the phone is locked

A recommended approach to addressing this problem is to make your hands-free device to be a trusted device on your phone. Thereafter, whenever you unlock your phone when connected to the device, the phone remains unlocked for several hours as long as the phone stays connected to the hands-free device.

Of course, things don't always work so smoothly. For example, if your phone happens to already be unlocked when it connects to your hands-free device, the phone will automatically lock later on, likely when you are driving.

The app, BtLos, works as follows, and only when the phone is connected to the hands-free device:
-- Gives a certain style beep when becoming locked
-- Gives a different style beep when becoming unlocked

It is convenient to combine BtLos with the fingerprint unlocking feature of your phone, so that you can unlock your phone without looking at the screen -- the BtLos beep tells you when you have succeeded in unlocking the phone.

WhatsApp BANNED - Cleared ad infinitum.

Hi,

I don't know what the problem is, but I wouldn't buy a new phone based on a personal theory, I'd try to understand the problem first, because if the problem isn't the handset then you could waste a lot of money that way. In fact I doubt your theory is correct, because if you failed to install WhatsApp on the phone then you never connected to them from that device and so they should have no record of any connection between the device ID and your phone number (current or previous).

So what exactly does this "banned" message say?

When you say you bought a SIM on return to the UK, did this come with a new phone number or did you port over an old one? It's usually numbers which get banned from WhatsApp rather than devices. Phone numbers are owned by the service providers and are a finite resource, so old numbers do get re-used. The provider should wait some period of time before re-issuing a number from a cancelled contract (can't remember how long, will be several months or maybe a year), but I wonder whether you got unlucky and got re-issued a number that had been banned due to a previous owner breaking the rules? It's just a speculation, but it's not impossible. If that's the case you will need to get through to a human being at WhatsApp to get it resolved. But if by any chance it is something like that then changing phones wouldn't help as long as you had the same phone number. This is why I think what you really need to do is get through to someone at WhatsApp and find out why it keeps being banned: once you know what the problem is you (or, hopefully, WhatsApp) will be able to work out how to fix it.

Following on - I suspect that you 'hit' the spot.
I have Factory Reset phone - re-installed WhatsApp - and Registered with an enitirely new SIM.
That now makes 3 days of 'clean' operation and no problems whatsoever.
Looks like it mgiht have well been down to the SIM/Phone No - can think of nothing else.
But that leads on to conjecture what else one could possiibly 'pick up' from an apparent new ( but previously used) SIM.
Just thanked a daughter for yesterdays delicious Easter Sunday meal - all via the magic of WA.

Best Rgds. & Thnxs.

....................................

WHOOPS - spoke far to soon - 3 days all OK then - back into the routine of BANNED/CLEAR and that is with a new number/SIM.
So once again - is it my Phone doing it? Something on my Phone??
Why don't Whats App at least state what their system finds that leads to the temporaryl BANNED?
I GIVE UP!

How to create Mount script as/ or Link2sd symbolic link in adoptable storage.

There really is no need, Android is very good at storage management, From Android's perspective it doesn't matter whether apps are in the devices storage or an SD card formatted as internal, it's all the same to Android. Just be aware that you'll need to use the fastest (Class 10 or better) card, and doe to how the cards are made - I believe that anything above 64GB is made by using multiple 64GB chips ( it may be multiple 32GB chips maybe someone with more knowledge can clarify). this can potentially reduce the life of a card as it will be read/written to many more times as internal storage that if you just used it as removable storage for music/video, photos etc.

Best 'hidden gallery' app

Also worth mention is Simple Gallery Pro.

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.simplemobiletools.gallery.pro/

Files can be hidden and then password protected.

Unfortunately, these files are only hidden well from the app itself, and the related file manager (Simple File Manager Pro).

With a little know how, they can be found with a typical file manager.

Keep in mind that this has still been enough to keep nosy busybodies at my work from getting into anything.

But Anemo seems even better to me, especially if I use my launcher (KISS) to hide the Anemo app from view.

This means that the app icon will not even show up at all unless a setting in my launcher is changed.

KISS is a very odd (but excellent) launcher, and most folks have not even heard of it.
It is totally different from other launchers, and as such makes my device exceedingly strange for anyone else to navigate.

The launcher actually takes only a short time to learn, but this is more than enough to keep others at bay.

Note that many launchers have the option to hide apps, but having an oddball like KISS is also great for security.

Root How To Root LG Stylo 4 Sprint

I have attempted using the links provided in the above posts - However, the first link points to LG Developer Website, which is no longer available. The page states that "LG Mobile Developer was terminated on December 31, 2021". Following the second link in the above post, under "Pre-Requirements", I'm directed to the "Unlock Bootloader Of LG Stylo 4" page on the same site, which tells me I need to enter the Device ID and IMEI number at the LG Developer Website which, as stated before, no longer exists. It sounds like LG has stopped providing developer support. Does this mean I will not be able to root my Stylo 4, or is there another path I can take?
