I want to make a caller id app which detects incoming call, searches database, if user exist and shows user in screen with dialog or by changing phone lookup. So I found 2 ways to do that. First, I created a BroadcastReceiver with incoming call intent and I showed a dialog when there is an incoming call. It worked good but sometimes my onreceive method didnt run (I tried everything to solve that but didnt solve it). So I tried to find new ways to do that and I find Content Provider. . In ContentProvider, I want to insert data from my Rest API to my Content Provider. Is it possible? When I search it I found sync adapters but I don't know what is it and I don't know can I do what I want with that. I am beginner in Android and I don't know where should I do that process. I would be glad if you could guide me.

Liquid damage can take many forms, so "familiar" isn't really the test. That certainly sounds like some connections are bad, but whether that's an assembly issue or corrosion I wouldn't try to guess without seeing the device.

I will try to get better pics. I'm going to buy the same phone and try and switch the main board over to see if this works.

yep, this is most likely caused by your router and have little to do with your phone. try @The_Chief ch's suggestions and let us know what worked for you.

i do want to add that maybe try just rebooting the router.

Make an image of the "hard drive" of the phone, so I can run a recovery program ( TestDisk ) over the image to hopefully recover some deleted pictures.

Backup photos to Google photos - should be automatic if you have automatic backup/restore to Google turned on. Anyway you can use one of the backup apps in the play store, or just connect to your computer via USB or Bluetooth.

I need a popup video mediaplayer that I can place in an image.

Picture a t.v or movie screen with the mediaplayer as the screen.

I'm thinking of using an image with a transparent region where the video will show.

I want to make a nice skin as opposed to a simple black rectangle.

If anyone can give me an example or point me to one, I would be grateful.

Correct, IMEI blacklist won't affect data on the phone - it might actually prevent the phone receiving the wipe command if it can't connect.

Of course if the phone hasn't come back online in a day or so there's a good chance it isn't going to, so at some point I would get it blacklisted anyway. But I don't know how persistent Google's remote wipe or lock is: you'd hope that it would be triggered when that device connects to the Google account whenever that happens, rather than timing out after a few weeks or months, but I've never tested it and am not aware of Google making the technical details public (I wouldn't do so if I were them).

If someone has reset it to try to get past your screen lock they will have done the data wipe for you (and locked themself out via FRP).

The thing is that it's vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place it nor could a reverse image search. It gives me a bit of a "shield" vibe, so my thought was firewall/security/ad-blocker, but searching those categories didn't come up with it.

As Brian says, 99% of these queries are someone concerned about a dating app on a partner's phone, and there's nothing about the design to suggest that.
