Is there any free scanner to scan this type of code?

Thanks for your answer. But it is not PDF417. If you visit the link which you provided, you can see the PDF417 is actually the upper side code of my picture... But I want to know the name of bottom side code (marked by red rectangle in the picture). Do you have any idea?

Apparently it's called "machine-readable"

Root Root

Joasonmerc,
What about g play 2021? I'm fixing to take a stab at root and I really don't wanna load stock unless it's my only way back lol.. Suggestions for that model appreciated✌
This forum is for the G4 Play, which is a different older model entirely.

ROM development for the G Play 2021 appears to be stagnant, as in nothing at all from what I saw. You can still (maybe) unlock the bootloader, but without a functioning TWRP you won't really have an easy time flashing Magisk for root on stock Android.

I'd give further guidance, but the problem is newer phones use a new partition layout that I'm not yet familiar with, so I don't want to tell you something that will brick your device. I'm sure if you posted this question in a G Play 2021 forum then you'll get a more accurate, reliable answer.

Help A12 not supporting internal SD support

You do realize that whatever issues you're having with SD cards is very anecdotal, don't you? If your situation was actually the norm, external memory cards wouldn't even be an option for us now. If all microSD cards failed at even a 10% rate, there would have been a industry wide recall.
A 50% failure rate is an indicator there's a localized issue that needs to be looked into.

In my experience, recalls are only invested in on safety issues.

Anguish and loss of finances due to a failed SD card are neither.

So, no, no recalls for a horrible long term storage option.
Can I even justify the use of the term 'long term' here?

I mean really, is two weeks to three months considered long term?
That is when my SD card failures all surfaced.
Any that survived longer than that continue to do so.

About half of them.

Updating apps strangeness

Yup!
This is a common thing, because the apps on UpToDown are uploaded to UpToDown by many other people, and not always as quick as Google gets them up.

This can cause quite a delay at times, especially on apps with less popularity.

Also, there can be many versions of every app, and each individual device may be able to run multiple or only one version.
This can cause the difference in the app ID number that you see.

I would not worry about any of these things, as long as the apps continue to function.

One caviot to UpToDown regarding system apps is that on rare occasion I have gotten an update to Google app that is not compatible with other Google apps on the device.
It is simple enough to put the older version back on.

As I donot use Google Play Store anymore, I use UpToDown and two others as well- ApkPure and F-Droid. On the rare occasion that I need to, I also use ApkMirror.

These all may hold interest for you as well.

https://f-droid.org/
https://www.apkmirror.com/

Also, to help with time, I only check for updates once a week.

I do not allow any of these apps to constantly check for updates, automatically download, or notify me.

After I run through all the app stores, I then use a cleaner (the only honest one) from F-Droid to remove files that are downloaded onto my device from each store.

This saves space on my device.

Help Difficulties with Android 10

I am sure that it is not a knock off but this is a poor country, So they manufacture phones for this region using old parts.

I am in the Middle East.

Yeh, I'm sure it isn't knock-off, otherwise it wouldn't be on GSM Arena. Although it seems Samsung is now really localising their range of devices and markets. I'm actually in China, and we only see their flagship devices like Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, plus a lot of fake Samsungs.

That is besides the point... I will find apps that can work on it.

Good luck!
Wish I could help you more. :)

How to change Kindle as default app for pdf files

Kindle app didn't have defaults to clear. Amazon Play Store app did. Now invoking pdf file brings up pdf reader not kindle reader.

So hard to find where to reset default apps.
Fire OS 5.6.8.0
Ah, yes, an Amazon Fire device will be different as well because it's an Amazon fork of Android and will differ in several respects from other people's Android.

Help My SD card used as internal storage is full. Could I change it with a new card with more capacity?

A card formatted as internal will be encrypted with a key securely stored on the phone, I think in the /system partition. All data on the card will be encrypted so it's only readable by the phone it's installed on. A card formatted as internal storage will have a single encrypted EXT4 partition occupying the whole volume. Note that a Factory data reset will generate a new encryption key and the card will become unreadable as the key used to encrypt it no longer exists.

Unless you have a phone with very limited storage (<16GB) there's no benefit, and several downsides, to using a card as internal storage.

Galaxy S7 Unresponsive

I think that may be a bit beyond me bailiwick. May have to try and look that up 'cause I can't see how that's done. Could be good, though. On a related note, someone mentioned sending this thing into ubreakifix. Horrible name. Know anything about them? I really don't care what kind of chop suey I get this phone back as, I just want the damn info. May be a lost cause be I'm still fighting. For now.

Do whatever you can.
At least you learned a lot about these devices that you didn't know before.

Hands on experience is the best teacher.
