Cannot get Android File Transfer to connect to my tablet

Have you enabled the developer options menu on your tablet (go to the software information in the "About..." part of the settings, find the build number and tap repeatedly on it until it tells you you are now a developer - for some reason Google think this is cute)? In there you should be able to set the default USB connection mode to file transfer or MTP, after which whenever you plug it into the Mac (with the Android's screen unlocked, of course) it should just connect without you needing to do anything.

Well I'm back at this again, and totally lost in it. Sometimes the tablet will give a notice I cannot connect usb to it and allow it on the next try, but now it's just not allowing it at all and I've been trying all morning. I've gone back into the developer thing and cannot find any way to set default USB mode to anything. Why do they have to make it so hard?

This was working yesterday, but not today and I've done nothing different. Should I restart my Mac? Already restarted the tablet, to no effect. I'm just lost here.

+ in voicemail cause issues

On my Pixel 5 on Google Fi here in the US, both the Voicemail and Recents tabs show numbers with the (correct) '+1' prefix.

Try opening the Phone app, tapping the three-dot menu button at the top right, then navigating to Settings > Assisted dialing. You may want to check to confirm that Assisted Dialing is enabled and that the Default Home Country has been correctly selected.

Help How can I completly disable Google Play? It reinstalls itself after I do it.

Yes, I missed that bit. The Play Store does not install games at random. If that is happening it's likely that you've installed something else that is the real cause.

Simple test: re-enable the Play Store and run the phone in safe mode (instructions for entering safe mode vary with the phone, but a web search will produce the instructions for whichever phone you have). What safe mode does is disable all user-installed apps. If you don't suffer these problems in safe mode, and especially if your "random game installs" don't happen, that will mean that the real cause is a user-installed app - the problem then is identifying which one.

sd card only

Hi, nice to meet you. To manage data on the SD Card and the internal memory of your vodafone e8 smartphone, try Android data manager tool. Such tool like Coolmuster Android Assistant can help us access to all data on the SD Card and the internal memory, including contacts, text messages, call logs, apps, ebooks, music, videos, photos, etc. Just have a try and hope this will be your help.

M51 How to lock screen

When I am running and listening to music my M51 is not readily accessible, since it is in a pouch under my waistband. On some days the music is interrupted by the phone doing random things, maybe making calls, or jumping ahead or behind in the music playlist etc. The issue seems to be that the screen is not remaining locked.

The accidental touch protection does not seem to work. Is there a way to manually lock the screen to keep any incidental touches from interrupting the music that is playing on the phone?

Bluetooth headset doesn't connect sometimes when answering

Ok, so I work from home. I am on my cell phone all day on calls. I'm using the Aftershokz Aeroplex headset. Periodically, when I answer a call, it instead uses the headset, so I'm trying to say hello and they can't hear me. I then go to the phone and change from my phone to headset and instead the audio switches to my smart watch. The only way I can get the call to go through the headset is to turn it off and back on.

Help Vodafone smart prime 6 mobile phone factory reset

If your card was formatted as Internal, any data on that card is now lost. It's no longer accessible because when a microSD card is formatted as internal, its file system is altered (to be identical with your phone's internal storage) and its encrypted (also so match up with your phone's internal storage).

When you did that Factory Reset that also wiped the encryption key. That now missing encryption key was what linked your phone's internal storage to the 'Internal' microSD card so at this point any data on that card is no longer accessible. Reformat the card to reuse it again -- the data is essentially lost but you can still keep using the card again once it's been reformatted.
But you really should try to mount the card in a computer first to check it. If it was formatted as Portable instead your data might still be there or at least recoverable.

Direct to voicemail problem

That's a common problem with phones that don't support VoLTE (voice over LTE).

Do you have the US version of the G5 Plus (XT1687), or international? The international model probably doesn't support VoLTE.

Make sure VoLTE is on:

Adjust font size

Hi All,

How can I prevent Font size changes from affecting the controls on my app?
I have tried the following
public void adjustFontScale(Configuration configuration)
{
if(configuration.fontScale > 1.3f) {
configuration.fontScale = 1.3f;
DisplayMetrics metrics = getResources().getDisplayMetrics();
WindowManager wm = (WindowManager) getSystemService(WINDOW_SERVICE);
wm.getDefaultDisplay().getMetrics(metrics);
metrics.scaledDensity = configuration.fontScale * metrics.density;
getBaseContext().getResources().updateConfiguration(configuration, metrics);
}
}
I am able to override font size of the activity using above code. But I want just the header layout(containing button and textView) size to be controlled, not the entire activity. How do I achieve that?
