Couldn't find any for my device. I needed the Boot Anim and Splash Images Magisk Module for Cepheus and Lavender.

Seems I'll have to manually change them.

Just wait a few minutes after boot and the touch screen will be responsive. You will encounter the same problem when booting up a ROM, the touchscreen will be disable for a small period on boot.

I think this issue has been corrected however in another version.

Network service different

I had a Moto g7 power cell phone. Unlocked using AT&T.
I had great service. Even had service in places that I never had service before with past cell phones.

The screen shattered and it was cheaper to buy the same phone than it was to have it fixed.

Bought the second one. Moto g7 power unlocked cell phone.
This one being the same phone but I have horrible service. Not much coverage at all.

Can someone please explain this.


Note that I bought both of these phones from eBay.
The only difference I am seeing is this current one shows the metro Logo as it is starting.

I'm not sure, it's been happening off and on for at least the past year lol. It didn't happen when I first got the phone 2 years ago. It's a pretty garbage phone though, today the power button decided to stop working so I forced a reset and it froze on the boot screen for... 3 hours? XD

Thanks, I'll try some of these suggestions and see if they work. It's hard to tell if something fixed it because it comes and goes, but I'll update my post if it comes back.

Saving texts using Froyo on ATT Pantech Crossover

Thanks, Unforgiven! I did stumble upon APK apps, but hesitated to fool around loading them on the phone, as I've honestly never loaded any app on the darn thing. I'll revisit that solution.

Last night, connecting a new gmail account to the phone (in the hopes of sending the text messages to gmail) seemed to trigger some odd phone behavior: I would see the sim card be completely full even though I hadn't loaded anything onto it. So, I brilliantly thought maybe I could delete some text threads and photos to free up some space. I've never deleted a text before either, and in the course of experimenting with that, for a few horrible hours, I thought I had deleted all my texts because they all disappeared. After reaching that rock bottom, believing that that texts were entirely trashed and rationalizing that maybe this was the universe's way of solving my text-transfer problem and maybe I should get on with my life, THE TEXTS REAPPEARED! I was relieved and elated and oddly annoyed. And so it goes.

If I manage to figure this out, I'll share for any other Pantech Crossover dinosaurs out there!

Just to emphasize what's already been stated, a Factory Reset will delete her data. That's what a Factory Reset is designed to do, wipe user data off the internal storage of a device. So if there's any chance any family member or friend who was close to your mother might know what password she used, DO NOT do a Factory Reset if you want to get access to that Redmi phone. If a phone's lock screen was to be easy to bypass, it wouldn't have much of a purpose.

Do you have access to her online Google account? Keep in mind that the lock screen on her phone is independent from her Google account but if you can at least access her Gmail, calendar, and contacts (presuming she had her phone set up so those items automatically synced with her Google account) that will be something. Also do you know if she had the Google Photos app on her phone, and if it was set up to sync with her Google account?
Getting her text messages could be much more involved and difficult, and dependent on which text messaging service she used along with which app.

You can use Google's Takeout service to do a full backup of her Google services data. Select the items you want to have backed up, and there will be a resulting zip file that may be several GBs in size depending on how much stuff she had stored:

If you do not have access to her Google account, there is a lengthy process for loved ones to get access. You need to authenticate yourself and provide proof your mother passed on. It's a cumbersome process, but accessing someone else's account is a major deal.

Asus ZenPad10 Setup Wizard crashing after factory reset

I have a similar problem on my Asus zenpad 10 z301mf. In my case, the setup wizard "keeps stopping" and I can't sign in. I tried to flash the firmware again but cannot boot in recovery mode since the tablet is locked. Tried using hardreset.info and android 7.1.2 to unlock, but not successful because I couldn't complete the final steps which use the setup wizard - which always stops ... Aaah!! Using the Settings on android 7.1.2, cannot enable USB debugging ("developer options are not available for this user"), so can't use adb. Looks like I'm stuffed but I hope someone can prove me wrong.
