you have to run adb from your computer regardless what device you have. you will need to connect your android tv to your pc, run adb, and then you can use adb commands to your hearts content. i'm not sure if all adb commands will work though.

Google Photos

Email apps on your phone can't manage and maintain your actual email account data, they're all just email clients. You need to look into the email server, where your email account resides. Those online servers are what your email provider store your account data.
So which email service do you use? Gmail? MS Outlook? Yahoo Mail?
Log into your account using the web access site of your chosen email service and there's likely to be some kind of export function. With Gmail as an example you can use Sign in - Google Accounts to make a backup of your email/calendar/contacts. Or if you have a third-party application like Thunderbird there's an Export function in the Accounts menu.

Yes, I also remember security warnings about ES Explorer from some years ago. Interesting it took Google that long to give it the boot.

Yes I just tried rebooting the router. Still the same thing, all my other devices can connect just fine but this Galaxy Tab 2 still doesn't want to connect.

OK so we get this question everyday. the problem is that there are millions of apps out there that have notification icons. so unless it is something like facebook or youtube, most of these questions go unanswered. the easiest way is to look on the phone's notifications to see what it is. but as you stated this is not your phone. of course you can just ask, but i guess that is not as easy as it sounds.

you might get lucky and someone might recognize it.....but don't hold your breath on an answer.

I ran into this problem after replacing phone with newer model and using software to move all my apps and data. Discovered the missing setting was to grant the Messenger app permission to Draw Over Other Apps.

I have been studying android development for the last two years and was looking to see if an app like that existed. That's when I came across this thread. I too have the same issue with items being available at multiple stores and was looking to possibly build this app. Alot of the apps I have seen so far are overly complicated.

When you say "same software version" what exactly do you mean: same Android or One UI version, or both have the same most recent update? This feature is only a couple of months old, so most likely was only added in a recent update. If one person is better at applying updates than another then that could explain it. Maybe check for software updates on both phones and install any that are waiting.

I'm assuming that both are unlocked models or both are with the same carrier. If they have carrier software and are on different carriers it's also possible that one would receive an update sooner than the other.

When I attach a file to new mail in my Outlook app, it pops up a menu that lets me pick a file from Files or Gallery.

did you delete from cache as well? i am no dev. but i do know some data can still reside in cache.

what map app are you using? which samsung phone are you using now? where are the downloads saved to? sd card?

i am too lazy to use wallpapers that i make or find on the web. for me i use Zedge for all of my wallpapers and also for my ringtones. Zedge will resize the photo to your phone.....though i have a found some that will not.

"Rooted" refers to the state of the ROM, i.e. whether it has been modified so that the user can grant admin rights to user-installed apps. So if the ROM part of the sequence of files you flashed was stock (official software) then your phone will not be rooted. My guess would be that it isn't rooted, since a process that replaces TWRP with a stock recovery and locks the bootloader doesn't sound like one that will install a rooted ROM.

I'm not familiar with modifying Huawei phones, so can't say. But yes, it is possible that the update path for one model, or one firmware version of one model, doesn't go as high as for another. If you've been flashing firmware for one model onto a different model it's also not impossible that the official update process looks at your device and says "hang on, something's not right here" and refuses to install any further updates, though in that case I'd think it more likely that it would apply no updates at all than that it would update so far and no further.

Well the "normal" thing that happens if you succeed in flashing a different model's firmware onto a phone is that the phone is hard-bricked .

I guess this is a device where they built one set of hardware and then disabled the dual SIM functionality via firmware in some regions or for some carriers, because that's the only way I can see what you've done here actually working. But my point is that being able to do this is a special case, so probably the only people who could say with confidence what to expect would be those who have performed similar mods on this model, or at least another Huawei of similar age. You could ask in one of those XDA threads, if there is anyone still watching them, but it's not a question I can answer.
