No shutter sound on camera

I have had phones, like the current Galaxy Note model, that have a "Shutter Sound" on-off switch in the Camera settings... and I have had phones that have no such option: shutter sound is mandatory. I've never heard of a phone with no shutter sound at all, and I don't think it would be legal to sell it that way.

That said: once you check your Settings -- Sounds -- Volume and make sure everything is turned up (especially system and media volumes), if everything makes a sound except the camera, it's possible that the shutter sound media file was corrupted. The camera sound resides in System/Media/Audio and is probably named something like "camera_click.ogg" - if it's possible, you might want to locate that media file online, download it and paste it into that folder, replacing the corrupt (or missing) file. A file explorer app like Solid Explorer may allow you to do that without root.

Gear S2 Stuck Setting Up

Okay I got it fixed and hopefully can help others.

I had to connect the Gear S2 watch to my android phone again. It downloaded a few apps it needed to connect. Once it connected, from the app on my phone I updated the watch. Latest updates had an option to disconnect and connect to new phone. Disconnected and then was able to connect to my son's iPhone.
thanx for posting your solution......never would have thought of that. I was going to say that maybe it has some kind of issue with the iphone. I never have had any issues with any of my gear watches.

Want no sounds unless called or texted or if one particular app makes a noise

Here is something to try.
I don't use Samsung, so I appologize (for them) in advance if your device does not have this feature.

Start from your homescreen.
Pull down from the top, to see your quick settings menu.

There should be a settings pinwheel/gearwheel.

Long press it for about 10+ seconds until it animates (spins).

Now open the phone settings.
Scroll down towards the bottom- you are looking for System UI Tuner.

Open that, and inside you will find the setting that allows you to customize notification levels (1-5) for each app.

Now when you go to adjust the notification settings of an app, you have multiple levels of notification available.

Now go into your phone ringer settings.

In there you will see Priority Only.
This is what you may need to use when you are on call.

Think of it as a built in extra notification profile.

Now that you have extra notification levels available for each app, you will see that there is also an option to Override Oriority Only.

This is where you set the apps that you WANT to wake you up when you are on call.

After all this, put your phone ringer into Priority Only when you are on call.

Only the apps that you have allowed to notify during Priority Only and those that you allow to Override Priority Only can notify you.

When you are no longer on call, change the ringer setting to your normal setting, and everything is just like it was before.

Hope this helps.

Chromium 80 samesite cookie default change in webviews

A significant change is coming in chrome browser(version 80.x) , and I wonder how you can test it on Android webview.
On the web you just need to set a couple defaults for flags via chrome:flags:
* SameSite by default cookies - need to change to enabled
* Cookies without SameSite must be secure - also need to set to enabled

This way you simulate the behaviour of the browser when this new release kicks in.

My question is how do you test it in advance on Android webviews?
How can you change flags in the internal browser used by the webview (Android System Webview?)

Help Get around lock screen, can't even turn phone off

The first is a reset to factory settings. To do this, go to the "Recovery" mode. The way how to get into it depends on the specific device: to find out the algorithm, you need to refer to the official instructions or to the technical support of the manufacturer. In the menu, select "Factory Reset". All contacts and SMS will be erased, but the password will disappear along with them.
Another way to remove the screen lock password is to reflash the gadget. However, in this case, there is a risk of getting a non-working device. Tip: before you turn off the gadget with the password set, it is recommended to write it down somewhere, then the risk that the cipher will be forgotten is minimized; There are special programs for generating and storing codewords.

Over saturated screen colors screen mode not working

Hello, I recently received a used J730f as a gift that it just got it's screen replaced.
It's been updated up to the latest pie update by previous owner.
Here is the problem:
The colours on screen appear too saturated and vibrant. Especially reds. Reds look more like bright orange.
I tried adjusting colours from screen mode but even it I change modes and adjust the colour balance it seems to have no effect whatsoever on the screen.
Same problem with the colour correction on accessibility. Not change for any option. Not even on negative colours.
The only thing working is blue light filter and brightness adjustment.
I downloaded applications and they let me change the color balance but not the saturation.
Any ideas?
Could this be the screen replacement? Seems more of a software problem to me.
Thank you in advance for your time
