Some camera apps let you specify the folder you save to in their settings. If your stock camera doesn't allow that then the Open Camera app certainly has that option (I just checked).

Albums in gallery apps are typically based on tags rather than locations, so for that you'd presumably need both to be able to set a custom tag in the camera app and for the gallery app to use that to select images and make an album. As it happens, Open Camera does have settings for 2 custom tags, "Artist" and "Copyright", so if your gallery app of choice can make albums based on either of those tags you could also do it using one of those tags (neither of my gallery apps seems to take note of either, but I may have missed a setting or there may be others that do).

That is true. But equally there are many problems which individual responsibility and individual action alone cannot address. As you say, it's a matter of finding the right balance (which will depend on the issue, and not everyone will agree with).

AFAICT Apple is NOT doing anything like that. They've ceased sales of new Apple devices in Russia, i.e. they closed all the Apple Stores there. For existing Russian users of iPhones, iPads, Macs, etc. should go on working just fine. There's plenty of countries in the world where Apple has no official presence, but people have been able to obtain and use Apple devices, e.g. Mongolia.

Also there's US sanctions that prohibit the supplying of American technology and other business to Russia, which no doubt Apple is compying with:

can you post a pic? no idea based on your description. also if you read this thread you will see that most of our posts only provide guess. why not just ask the person?

even if you did provide us with a picture, most of these questions go unanswered. mainly because there are millions of apps having their own notification icon. so unless it is something like facebook or youtube, the only answer you will get from us will be guesses.

Yeah pencil icon and move things around until you see the mobile data, and it is pretty much inside the wifi settings as my 2021 is in there.

Those Cookie consent pop-ups are another stupid EU directive that somehow gets enforced in the U.S. (I want the EU to go back to whatever hole it crawled out of) but cookies are harmless. A cookie has been part of the internet since dial-up. It's what stores any login info for any website. Going nuts and trying to delete them is a waste of time. You might as well be deleting rundll32.exe from Windows since it always runs in the background for seemingly no reason.

As for CCleaner, Cheetah Mobile, an infamous developer known for questionable data tracking for China, had bought them out like they did ES File Explorer, QuickPic Gallery, and many, many other apps. They're actually banned from the Play Store (and Galaxy Store--which is telling! Samsung hardly polices that store). Only Windows still has it available. I think Cheetah's site actually lists their crApps as APKs for any schmuck to download.

I'm trying to make a copy of an Android Studio Project. I did this once before in this project and it worked just fine. Basically I'm making a certain amount of successful progress on the project and then want to make a new copy of the project and work on that copy. And in case something goes seriously wrong with the subsequent work I'll have the prior version to go back to.

The problem is that I'm getting an error when trying to make a copy of my current version of the project.

As I had previously done, I right-click on the project, select Refactor, and then Copy Classes.



That brings up a dialog where I slightly change the name (make 03 instead of 02) and I hit OK.

That starts the copy process and it goes through a whole slew of directories and folders but then an error message pops up:



And the copying stops. The copying FAILS.

I check that directory and, indeed there's no such file. But why is it even looking for that file if no such file exists?

I had previously succeeded with doing this kind of project copy. Why is it failing now?

Is there a different way to make a copy of a project?

Yes, look:
I use "fastboot oem unlock"
And then, this appears:

Also, when I try to use "fastboot oem device-info" this appears:

if you need help then, what phone do you have? when did this start happening? after an update? after you installed some apps? have you tried rebooting your phone?

HTC was awesome back in the EVO or Thunderbolt days. Sense 3 was the most appealing UI ever made. Then Blinkfeed happened, flat UI happened, and it was downhill since. I got a bit turned off by the M7 and M8, with crappy '3D cameras' and bland UI design. Blinkfeed was another solution to a problem that never existed. It didn't look like Sense anymore.

I got a sort of Sense 3 clone UI on my Z Flip, with the flip clock widget and skeuomorphic icons, and some older Android 2.x apps replacing some of the 'modern' crap, but I doubt I'll ever be able to recreate that awesome lockscreen weather widget with the animations.

I dunno, I just seem to have better luck with the very devices and apps everyone else hates. I love Bixby (prefer it over Assistant as it can do far more), hate USB-C, had no issues with Micro USB at all, and thought the HTC Thunderbolt was the best Android ever made.

I really don't understand. Maybe I would have been perfectly happy with a Chevrolet Vega as well? Lord knows it couldn't have been any worse than my Subaru XT6.

What kind of app even shows usage history anyway? That sounds like the kind of thing a parent would place on a child's phone, just in case they were playing Angry Birds during the time they should be studying...

Welcome to AF. There are countless notification icons in use these days. Unless someone here is familiar with that particular one, I'm afraid we won't be of much help. I assume you are posting a screen shot from another phone. If this is on your phone, simply pull down the notification shade for additional information. I'm sorry that I'm of so little assistance.

Brave browser perhaps? Nightly indicates a buggier beta copy. I think that's just an APK you can sideload as it won't be on Play Store.

Is the error something like 'error parsing the package' or 'app not installed?' If so, that's the phone's way of saying it's not compatible.

IS this a Verizon variant? That sounds a lot like the 'Verizon App Manager' that 'recommends' bloatware apps they think you'll like and you have no way to tell it to frell off.

However, there's a one-time paid app called Buzzkill that can get rid of its persistent notification. Or any persistant notifications you can't swipe away (I hate Android's cluttered status bar and use this app to make it clean)

Search for Buzzkill in the Play Store, and once installed, it is as simple as tapping which app you hate (in this case perhaps Verizon App Manager) and then tapping where it shows clickable text 'do nothing' and then selecting 'dismiss' as the action and then tap save. Then you'll never hear or see it again.

To initially get past the full-screen annoyance, just uncheck each app it selects or tap 'skip' and go about your day.

Hi Tamm, the only right way possible is to enter the correct Gmail ID and Password of the synced Google account.

I just used an old browser to avoid the issue since I was plenty aware it was Chrome dicking with me. Does it on other sites as well because SSL aint' enough for it.
