I've discovered an issue with my phone and I'm not sure whether it's a glitch or something I have done by mistake.

Every time I try to add a contact, whether via my Contacts list or WhatsApp, I keep getting the same message - "Can't add contacts to read-only accounts". This has been ever since the latest Android update.

Please can you tell me what I can do to fix this problem? I've tried looking for permissions etc via Settings, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have used a Samsung Fold2 and now recently a version 4, during using the Fold2 I noticed that my media files would go missing after a few weeks of moving them from the cloud to the phone. Not all the files, but all the oldest ones that where before the most recent ones I copied. So its like a batch thing.

I recently bought a Fold4, and less than a week of using the phone it has done the exact same thing. First batch of mp3 have just gone, vanished, not even in recycle bin. Only latest 5 have remained.

Previously, I had an S8, no issues there at all.

So, I was hoping it was a faulty phone, but it doesnt look like that when its now happened on 2 phones. Something on the phone is probably doing this, either a weird setting, a reset of some kind, or an app - but I hope its not an app.

Anyone else seen this issue ?

This is probably a niche use, but I'm sure there are other users who can think of plenty of circumstances where in they might want to use the front panel to do things and not just rely on the main display.

I make videos - some are video reviews and others are for our VFW Post. So I don't have to memorize everything I'm going to say, I smooth my script in Word and import it into an app called Nano Teleprompter. This overlays the camera app with my script on a transparent background - I can adjust the scrolling speed, among many other features.

The problem I'm experiencing with the Fold devices is that I'm stuck using the main display's camera, which can't compare with the rear cameras. I could shoot the video with the front camera, and that's an improvement... but I'd rather use the teleprompter app on the front display and record video with the rear cameras. That means forcing the phone to use the front panel with the phone open.

Is there a way to do this? Does anyone here know of some obscure setting in developer options that would allow this?

It has been said in many places that the Pixel 6 phone's, once updated to Android 13 cannot be downgraded back to 12. I read today on XDA Developers that they can help you do it. Read the article at:

Just recently I've had issues where my phone doesn't charge. I was traveling last week and in the hotel I plugged in my phone to the provided charger/cable. The same setup I use daily. However, it didn't charge. Switched around cables, outlets, etc. Here's what I'm experiencing now - I plug the phone in to the cable, and brick into the outlet. Nothing. I take the cable out of the phone and rotate it 180 degrees. I get "Cable Charging" (not fast charging). I then can take the cable out of the brick and rotate it 180 degrees and no charge. I repeat the process by switching which end is plugged into the phone and brick. Again, one side I get a charge, rotating it removes the charge.

What is happening here? Is it the cable? The brick? Both? Something else?

The tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 itself turned off and got into a bootloop - it doesn't boot into the system because there is not enough memory. Before that it worked fine.
All on the tablet is stock and official, there is no root.

Wipe cache partition tried many times already.

The problem is that there is not enough memory on the tablet - so I need to find a way to delete something, for example, the Tik Tok or YouTube Vanced application.

It will be better to find a way without installing root or custom recovery - so that the Knox counter doesn't count.

I have been extremely careful to make sure my contacts in groups have mobile numbers yet Textra insist on including some contacts home & work numbers in addition to their mobile numbers. So some individuals are listed 3 time in my groups!

Recently, after using this app for years with no problem, it stopped being able to locate devices or make them "scream"
Then when trying to upgrade to premium hoping that would help, it would not let me do so. saying "your email and password do not match" which is usually a sign-IN as opposed to a sign-UP prompt, when lets you select the password.
Nor would it let me delete the account
So I tried signing back in with old account, and then got a "sorry we're having trouble connecting with our servers" error message.
So, lookout mobile security won't work, can't upgrade, won't allow me to sign up for a new account and can't delete the account.
It makes me think that maybe their company is having problems, or maybe has been the victim of a DOS attack.
Note: This behavior is consistent with all my devices, two google Pixel 6 Pro's two Amazon HD fire tablets, and am iPhone 10.
If anyone has any ideas on how to approach this dilemma I'd be grateful, for advice.

Over the past 2 years, reception and bars for MetroPCS have gotten progressively worse, and now that they have implemented 5G, sometimes the signal will drop out all together. I'm in the middle of a metropolitan city, near several cell towers, and have my phone set to go to 5G, or to alternate with LTE in case of a weak signal. Doesn't make a difference. Service is sucking more and more. Here's the deal. I like paying a flat rate ($40 in my case), for relatively unlimited data. Can anyone suggest another carrier that can offer me a similar rate, with better reception?

Hi, I'm working on an app who make the conversion between decimal degrees and degrees minutes seconds. I have to make an "Export" button to export the entered decimal degrees coordinates and the DMS coordinates to a CSV file (the format of the table would be: id, decimal degrees, DMS) and share the file to other apps. Anybody has some hints how should I do that?

Getting a transparent button highlighted in red on my realme GT2 screen, don't know what that is for but that remains over any app i open. Need help to remove it.Anyone knows what that is for?

My S22 Ultra 'International Model' does not support "Add Call" or "Merge Call" functions. The button is whited out in each case. I've had this checked out by Samsung America who said they could not help as the phone is an international model. T-Mobile has no idea what to say.
