Hello all,
Wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of this problem. My whatsapp today just started freezing up repeatedly and would not work. I tried all of the go-to solutions online as far as clearing whatsapp cache, hard reboots, checking for software updates (I'm using android 9 and it says software can't be updated further), uninstalling reinstalling whatsapp, and then a final option which has failed of completely hard-factory resetting the phone.
At this point I suspect the problem is the size perhaps of my chats and images? I have about 180,000 images on whatsapp and 1.7m messages. The total size of the backup file is 28gb on google drive. Each time I would uninstall and reinstall it would just start freezing. Then after this final attempt at factory resetting failed I decided to post.
Perhaps a samsung note 8 has a limit on file size for whatsapp to function?

I haven't been here in awhile, but hope I can post this here
I am trying to choose a budget tablet, (yes Chinese made, because being on a fixed income, I can't afford any other) and I have been trying to narrow it down to one, I have it down to 4, and I'm trying to find out which is the best for the money, and well....the best out of the four, as in fastest etc. I am not worried about the camera option, or gaming, as I use my phone for the camera and don't play any games, but maybe the occasional crossword puzzle or solitaire. There are a few things I need, such as definitely Octa core, 10 or above screen, 128 GB storage, Bluetooth and WiFi capability, (GPS would be nice, but not absolutely necessary)That being said, I will add the four brands, price and versions (all from Amazon). Any advice will be greatly appreciated!(Any others alike, I would love to hear about and get advice on!)

OK, so I searched tirelessly online to find a quick, easy instruction on how to move my Chrome bookmarks from my Android smartphone to my Android Tablet.

I could not find anything online that details exactly how you know which device is the SENDING ONLY device, and which is the RECEIVING ONLY device. I don't want SYNC, I want SEND/RECEIVE lol.

I guess I'm not entirely sure how sync works. Which device gets changed to mimic which device?

I have a phone and tablet, both logged onto my google account and neither device is currently set up to sync. Do I enable both devices for sync? And then, what data gets gained/lost on each device? Why the hell can't they just have a SEND BOOKMARKS feature! I hate Android lol.

I think I played around with syncing a few years ago, and I lost my bookmarks. It seems the device with the lesser amount of bookmarks was the "sending" device, and the other device with all the bookmarks "synced" to the sending device. I don't want that happening again.

Seems like it shouldn't be that difficult. Just have SEND/RECEIVE in addition to SYNC function

Just received my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and have been having issues with permissions ever since.

As you can clearly see on the image I uploaded, there is just nothing appearing in said settings. It goes the same for all applications I'm trying to dive into.
Has anyone experienced anything similar ? Any suggestions to fix this ? I looked all over the web but can't find any other thread mentioning such problem.

Phone is up to date of course, and I'd like to know if there is any solution to it before going through factory reset since it took me a long time to set the phone up.

I’ve got various music player apps on my droid (Android 11, Samsung A71). Some of them have the feature of automatically creating and updating a “Recently Played” playlist. I like this feature. But they don’t ‘bookmark’ where I was in the song I was playing. They only start the Recently Played songs from the beginning of the song.

Anyone know of a music app that automatically ‘bookmarks’ the location in the songs in the Recently Played list?

So everything was fine until maybe a week ago? I noticed, my Status bar icons (or system icons) on the very top left and top right of the screen were turning dark when I was at the home screen (background wallpaper).

On top right for example, it shows the Wi-Fi and Battery Icons and clock. They are properly white or black when an app is open (corresponding to the background brightness/darkness of the app), but the icons always go black on the home screen, even if it's dark behind them and I can't see them (bottom picture).

This was not happening a few weeks ago. I just factory-reset my tablet. then updated the apps, and it's still happening. Not the end of the world, but these little pet peeve things are annoying lol.

Hello All I am hoping for some help. I just got The Samsung Galaxy A13(will be a temp phone) and I was using a Samsung Galaxy S10E. I really need help with transferring an app that does not save progress as well as somehow the open tabs I have for Chrome and Dolphin Browser. Honestly if there is a way to clone the entire phone that will be great.

I didnt want to have to upgrade but I had no choice.

I tried Smart Switch and it saved everything but when I try to transfer it to the new phone only some stuff transfers and i have tried many many tries. I tried wirelessly and with the cable.

is there any way I can get all my old phone content to the new one? im willing to try anything at this point just to keep my tabs and in progress coloring pics(there are a lot that were limited time.

Please could you advice me how to close/remove the first application from the list since it could not be deleted, as could be seen from the non active options on the second figure; where it is written : Battery consumed for radio 48.31%. I can not find icon which associate Stanje mirovanja - state of Hibernation - in any menu.

atm i try to create a simple layout to space icons evenly in a <view>. It seems so trivial but i can't get it to work without having to write some code. Here is an example image of what i want to achive:

In the image it looks very trivial. The two icons are both a <Button> element that should be centered inside the cells. In my example i need 5 icons in a row. I tried it with gridlayout but that doesn't get me anywhere, i was able to create something similar but was not able to center the button elements then!

I hope to find some help here.

I have a Mac Mini (2018) and a Kindle Fire HD 10 (2021)

I am trying to transfer files (video, books etc) between the two using flash drives.

Question: which format should the flash drives be in? As a Mac person, I am not that conversant with Windows / DOS / PC formats. As far as I can see, the MAC DISK UTILITY program gives me three options:

1 - MS-DOS (FAT32)
2 - ExFAT
3 - Microsoft NTFS

which one of these three options is best for this purpose? Which one can be most easily "read" by the Kindle Fire?

i had to get this phone from tracfone because my lg k20 was going out of service for 3g. anyway every time i plug it into the pc usb i get a popup on the phone that makes me allow usb connection. on the lg i could select a checkbox to just let that happen automatically every time i hooked the phone to the pc.

does anyone know how to make the a21 so i can select a checkbox to get the phone to allow usb connections every time i plug it into the pc?

with the lg i had 4 options and i chose file transfer but i have not yet found that option on the a21. i'm sure hoping this is an option that i have not yet found and can select to save time when i plug the phone into the pc. i plug it in often so i can upload phots to there respective folders so i can attach to emails for when i send them out as questions or relies to people.

if this is possible maybe someone here can direct me to the solution or a YT that shows how to get it set up.

i think i figured it out. i had to go into developer mode and click on usb options and there i had the choice to click a box. i picked file transfer and it worked. now to see if it keeps working.

i have the galaxy a21 and it runs android 11 one ui core version 3.1 . anyway, i have tons of pictures on the phone i guess theya re on googls site because when i plug the phone into the pc i see maybe 50 photos. but on the phone, i see hundreds all the way back to 2016 when i started using a samsung then lg phones.

i tried clicking the google photo app and then selectin some photos and then the hamburg menu and there is nothing there that tells me to download selected items to the phone.

googles instructions are to open the app select the photos open the HB menu then download to the phone then i can move the th sd card. but i do not see that option.

what i need to do is when i pug the phone into the pc and click on dcim then camera and then see the photos on the phone i would like to put them on the sd card so i can see them every time i plug into the pc. i use the phone to take photos for when i take things apart and want reference for reassembly. or if i have to go back months to recall an item to show someone in a forum. but i do not get the older photos. if i open the google app i can see them all the way back to 2016.

so does anyone have a way to get this done? i'm out of options that i can think of.

Using a Google Nexus 6 now for several years with Android 8.1.0, I have been a Net10 customer for a dozen years or so, using their AT&T MVNO (mobile virtual network operation).

Serious problems have developed recently after they informed me that I needed a SIM card change in February. They sent me the new SIM and instructions for installation, which I carefully followed. The new SIM uses Verizon, which is totally unexpected, as the Nexus 6 is unlocked GSM, not CDMA.

I can make and receive calls and sms text, but data is not available unless using wifi. Several days of voice communications with Net10 have not solved the problem, so I beg for help here, please.

The Darling Bride reserved the phone... pre-ordered it DURING the Unpacked event... and...? She received an email this afternoon apologizing, but her S22 Ultra is "delayed more than 30 days"! This was after our credit card was zapped this morning for the price of the phone.

Usually the credit card is charged when the phone is boxed up and ready for shipment. I've never heard of Samsung charging the card and then emailing about a delay.

Any ideas?
