Realme c30 bootloop problem. won't enter recovery mode

Hello, I just want to ask what should I do if my phone is in bootloop. I already tried entering it into recovery mode, but it didn't work. I tried pressing the volume down + power button, but it didn't work. I also tried pressing the volume up + power button, but it still didn't enter recovery mode. I also tried connecting it to the computer, and at first, every time I held down the volume down button, the computer recognized it, but it quickly disconnected and continued to bootloop. Has anyone encountered this before? Can someone please help me?

Issue pairing Galaxy watch with S22 Ultra

Verizon sent me a replacement S22 Ultra and I'm having an issue pairing it with my Galaxy watch. I attempted to pair it earlier today and it seemed to work fine being that the watch and the phone both showed the same code and I clicked ok on both and then the watch displayed a message that said "Check your phone to complete setup" and it just stays on that screen. I can't click out of it. The phone went to a screen that showed it was finishing the pairing and had progress dots that eventually showed the final dot was the only one left implying that it was almost done but it never finishes. I let it work like that for an hour and a half earlier today and it never finished. Has anyone ever run into this and what was the fix? I'm sitting in my car outside of a Verizon corporate store and they had no idea what the problem was and have directed me to go to Samsung for help.

Taking Screenshot on Android Smartphones Locally via Python (Without a second smartphone, PC, Wifi or USB Connection)

Hi All,

I want to take screenshots of my Android smartphone screen(not only screenshot of my app but whole screen) locally in background (without a second smartphone, PC , Wifi or USB connection) in my application via Python, but unfortunately I could not find a proper way to do it. I tried following methods but none of them is the right way in my case:

Android Screen Buffer: I guess this is used for screenshot, but I could not achieve to install it. I get following error:
The conflict is caused by: ash 0.3, 0.2 and 0.1 depends on opencv-python==4.1.2.30
but this version does not support any arm base platform. So I cannot install it. Moreover it has also dependencies with ADB tool,
so it looks like wifi or serial connection required.

ADB(Android Debug Bridge Tool): It requires either USB Cable or Wifi connection. The problem is that I do not want that my app users
requires necessary the same Wifi connection(I know internet connection not required but they need to be somewhere around a modem) to be able to use my app.

LADB: This requires also USB Cable or Wifi connection

scrcpy: It has also ADB dependencies. I get no devices/emulators found if I do not start any server from a PC.

Note: I want to implement it necessarily via Python with the reason that the implementation is already done for Windows and MacOS via Cross Platform Python. But if it is impossible with Python is there any other way? if it is so, then which language and library would you recommend? I found some examples via Java but all of them were screen capturing the window within the application not whole smartphone screen.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Environment: Android 11
Prog Language: Python 3.7
Smartphone:Samsung Galaxy A8

Phone camera sensor stopped working.

Alright I've searched the whole internet for an answer and I couldn't find one, so I thought I'll post it here. I recently got a new phone (Galaxy S22 ultra) and it worked just fine until I dropped it. It somehow lost the connection to one of its camera sensors (wide angle), and my guess is that it's a hardware issue, I don't have the money nor the time or the need really to fix it, and I prefer just leaving it as is.

The problem is, that when a third party app tries to open the camera (WhatsApp, telegram etc....) It crashes, simple as that. I don't even get the ability to tell it to use a different sensor EVEN THO THE WIDE ANGLE ISN'T USED IN MOST PHOTOS???? This is becoming a real issue since I can't pay for public transport or things thru QR codes anymore since all the third party apps want access to all cameras.

Possible solution: disabling the lost sensor through software so that apps are forced to use the others, how could I do this? Do I need to root my phone?

Tldr: phone camera sensor lost touch, third party apps refuse to take pictures/open camera without it even tho they don't use it

N200 weirdness

My friend's phone messed up today. He was in a meeting when he got a call and he shut if off entirely. Later he tried to make a call but got stuck with some googoo crap about signing in with his email address or phone number. At least that's what it was showing when he brought it to me. Some alleged computer expert couldn't fix it. When I saw it I just typed in his email address though I hated to do it, and that apparently fixed it. I noticed, however, that instead of having an app drawer, his N200 brings up a keyboard and asks him to type the name of the app (!?). I have never seen such nonsense (of that particular type). Before somebody mentions Nova, allow me to mention that although I might very well choose that for myself, he has almost no idea of how to operate these things. Then again, if I did, I probably wouldn't keep asking all these crazy questions. Another thing: there is an app that he absolutely loves and which I could have sworn I downloaded for him, but it wasn't listed, even in settings. I did get the apk, but now it wants his password. Of course he has no notion of what it is and neither do I, which is why I asked for a reset. I keep checking email and it still isn't there, spam either. I've noticed that he does not seem to have a googoo account associated with the device (thank goodness) and that the googoo apps are correspondingly bare (mere m or even k rather than gb). Does this have something to do with it? I've been checking his email account on my phone, and the other stuff he regularly gets that way is there. I don't want to risk opening the floodgates over that single app.

How to "Gingerbread-ify" a modern phone

I know about launchers and icon packs, but there never seems to be a way to completely get the look right. For example, there's no way I know of to get the Lock screen from Gingerbread (Android 2.3) on a modern device, and there's no way to get the icons for Walmart, Dollar General, or YouTube Music apps (three which didn't exist then) to look correct, and replacing certain apps (Gallery, Music, Browser, Camera) with Gingerbread APKs results in a clash of whatever remains of the system apps and the replacements, which looks a lot worse.

What I'm asking is if there's some method that doesn't requrie root that can bring more of Android 2.3's UX back to a modern phone (in this case a Samsung A-series) because apparently everyone still does flat UI design more than a decade later, and just from seeing the UI of various phones on Mr. Mobile's "when phones were fun" series makes me wish to have the depth back in UI. I can't go back to old phones today due to VoLTE mandates.

I'd love to at least get the Android 2.3 AOSP launcher and lock screen, those two elude me as the launcher is on Play Store, installs, but I think Samsung blocks it by saying 'Android 2.3 Home keeps stopping' (I don't think it's crashing it's just not allowing it) and I don't know how to get the lock screen.

FYI Android 2.3 was my favorite Android version, and IMO the last that felt like 'true' Android.

Amazon Prime download not right

This is about a strange difficulty with Amazon Prime. Amazon support says they are absolutely not responsible, that Amazon never does this to customers.

My computer internet access is via a mobil hotspot from an Android phone. The phone contract allows only 5Mbps download speed for the hotspot, even though, on the phone itself, download speed may be 50Mbps. Why? That is just what the carrier does.

My Windows 10 professional system (19045.2846) is up to date. Amazon Prime software has recently been reinstalled.

The cell phone carrier started carrying a 4G/5G network a while back. They wanted everyone to switch to the new network but many phones are not compatible with the new network. After being told the old network may be discontinued soon, and being offering a rebate on a new phone, I started on the new network with a new 5G phone three weeks ago. There is no 5G service in my area, so my service is still 4G. The contract for mobil hotspot is the same as on the old network and internet speed tests on the computer still run at the contract speed.

Except for Amazon Prime video downloads:
I’ve used Amazon Prime for the past year by downloading videos on my computer, wuing mobil hotspot of the phone, to watch later because the 5Mbps bandwidth doesn’t always give decent streaming. Downloads were at 5Mbps, according to Windows Task Manager. Now, however, on the new network, new phone, Amazon videos download at a steady 2Mbps, 60% slower than on the old network, and of course it takes considerably more time to download a video. A internet speed test run in the browser, even while a video is downloading at 2Mbps, stills shows the contract 5Mbps download speed (actually about 5.7Mbps).

I’ve gone over this with the carrier a couple of times, I spoke to Amazon Prime support. I tried all their suggestions. I’ve been told by a couple of other Amazon Prime users who agreed to run tests that their download speeds are very fast (they are not using cellphone hotspots). I have run out of ideas to find the source of this problem. It is quite annoying and inconvenient. Any insights or suggestions?

Help I want to use my old phone for work and new phone while off work, using the same number is that possible?

I want to use my old phone (I have 3) for work and new phone while off work, using the same number is that possible? Just swap sim card maybe?

Several reasons why. One, I'm 70 and fell last week and hit my head, fortunately, I was able to get up and keep working, but what if I can't get to the car to call for help? Also from time to time, I get locked out of my truck, so I would need to call towing to come get me back into my truck. In my work, the truck has to be kept running when I stop, which is over 100 times a night sometimes. I keep my new phone in the car. If it was my old phone, I'd have it in my yellow safety vest.

Moto G Power - Working 4 Days on Battery -Again...

I have a 2022 Moto G Power. Advertised as a 3 day battery, but typically I get no more than 2 days from one battery charge (down to about 18% by the end of the second day).

I'm currently in a cycle where the battery is lasting an honest 4 days between charges. This happened last fall with this same phone, 4 day battery cycle for about 2 weeks or so, then reverted back to 2 days! It's not that I've changed location, where there is a cell tower any closer (Lower phone TX power), this is happening around my home.

As far as I can tell, my usage of the phone has NOT changed, for sure not that drastically, where it would double the battery life.

I'm not complaining mind you, just trying to figure out why it changes so much. When I look at the battery usage (4 days) Google Play services tops the list with 92%. I'm guessing that in another few battery cycles that it will again revert back to a 2 day battery charge...

Anyone else seen a jump in battery life like this???

Sir Michael

New SixDots game- ArmaRunner

ArmaRunner is one special type of infinite runner game.
Are you familiar with animals in a pub? Well, you'll soon be... As soon as you'll press the start button, a volcano erupts violently and spoils the fun of many animals. You are looking on a safe distance how animals try to evacuate the city. The game drops you in an adventure as an armadillo with a midlife crysis, who's trying to run down the mad mountain. It is technically an endless runner game, but I would lie if there isn't an end in it. Technically it isn't an infinite runner. Survive for the full 4 minutes and reach the highest score as possible, and you'll win the game.

Buying The Right Device (Bootloader)?

Hello All,
When buying a phone from EBay, I'm wondering how to assure I can unlock the bootloader. I used to "Play" with these devices but 10yrs ago. When I see "Unlocked" I assume that means carrier unlocked but nothing about the devices bootloader and ability to root?
My daily is a Pixel 7, locked till paid off. I travel to the EU 30%+ of my time and want something for that. Currently, I use a 100$ ZTE Blade. Problem, there is zero community for it and couldn't root.
Honestly, just looking for a cheap toy. I just don't wanna buy and have the bootloader be secured. I was thinking about an original Pixel or maybe the "2".
Sorry for the novel, all I'm really asking is any advice for buying with these needs in mind.
Thanks Everyone...

Verizon Pixel 6 Pro update late again!

For the third straight month, Verizon is late with the monthly update. Google released the update on May 1 for the covered Pixel line. It is still unavailable as an OTA update. What is also very strange is the Verizon update list for the Pixel 6 Pro. You can see it here:
It lists the March update as #18, then skips the April update completely & finally list the May update as #19. 🤔

Getting rid of home screen icons

I have been trying to do that with the Samsung Z fold 3. It will not allow it, I guess. When I press and hold an icon, it does show the remove option, but I cannot drag it there, and I cannot force it to open, even with both hands. The most I can do is move it around on the screen. Ideally I would trash most of those apps, too, but at least no icons at "home" would, I hope, mean that I wouldn't get those annoying messages when I'm trying to do something else. Not being able to connect to Bixby is the worst. I mean the message. I don't care about Bixby. I don't want it. There are maybe 3 separate Bixby apps lying that they"need" all those permissions. I wish I could shut that down entirely. I am trying my best to use this thing as a camera only (and gallery, of course). I recently went through and disabled just about everything I could except those. Is there any more I can do about it without rooting?
