My battery appears to be getting roughly a day and a half of "charge time" which is inconvenient and was wondering would I be
hurting" the battery degradation if I charge it to +/- 70% so that I would be charging it every morning instead of at randomly inconvenient times?

Greetings, is there an Android text-based command-line-invoked web browser similar to Linux "links" or "lynx"? I need to extract the text from various web pages for further processing in terminal shell scripts (busybox). Something like:
lynx -dump Current Logins | ... (further processing)

I want to turn off location tracking on Samsung Galaxy J2 but I don't see Location in Settings; nor in Settings -> Connections, nor in Settings -> WI-FI - > More Connections. Where did Samsung hide this setting so that I can turn off the location tracking?

Hi my name is darry1966 and I own a samsung tab 2 7.0 tablet and wondered if there is a web view update for this somewhere?. Still has 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich on it? Will this improve browser performance?

My MBP died & is in the shop so I've booted up a mac mini after many months, upgraded everything (macos 13.4 (22F66), xcode, vscode, intellij, you name it) including android studio which launches, puts the icon on the dock, then disappears.

I've deleted the app, I've deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Google/AndroidStudio<version>, and I've reinstalled but still can't get it to open.

What else should I do?

I have a tracphone simple Hotspot and when we arrived at the campground which has NO phone or internet servic, th Hotspot worked great. Today it will not work at all. We are trying to use roku but thr Hotspot does not show the internet signal. What do I do?

What project template should I use for my Android app when setting up my project in Android Studio? I want it to just have the same project name at the top of every Activity. I'll add whatever else is needed.

I have speed dial code numbers set on my Galaxy J2 phone, but when I press a speed dial code number the phone won't dial the associated number. I get a recording "call cannot be completed as dialed". Obviously it is dialing only the speed dial code and not the associated number (dialing the actual number directly from contact list works). What's the trick to get the Galaxy phone to dial using the speed dial numbers?

Recently, my Samsung A13 with the stock OS and the latest updates started periodically making a sound I've never heard before. It sounds very much like an electronic version of a house key being dropped into a shot glass. I have a notification history app, but nothing appears in that list anywhere near the time the sound is heard.

I can't detect anything going on near the time it is heard. It occurs at seemingly random times, often waking me up even with the general sound volume set low. I can't turn off the phone's sound completely because I need my Dexcom G7 diabetes monitor running at all times to warn me of problems. I tried uninstalling the Dexcom app temporarily to see if it was producing the sound, but it still sounded apparently randomly. I also looked at what apps I had installed before the sound began, but nothing seemed to match up.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this annoying sound, please? Thanks!

When in a call or app I often need to go back to messages to find info or a code ,how do I do it without losing call please

Didn't find a way to read PDFs comfortably on the phone, e.g. Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 4G. I have to manually move the PDF sideways and up all the time (instead of touching an icon or so and automatically skipping it to the next information / part). Or, in order not to have to do that, the font would be so small that it would not be legible for me.

What program could be recommend for this?

I have an s21 plus and the issue I'm having is that when I get sent pictures, it comes up as automatically expired.. like it expires the minute it's sent and when I click it, it says somethings wrong. Here's the catch though, for some reason it doesn't work when my sister, (Galaxy, verizon, diff plan) sends me pictures or my husband (Galaxy, Verizon, diff plan). However, my mother, who has an apple, with Verizon and shares the same plan with my sister--- her pictures send. Could someone help me with this? Samsung just told me to get a new phone. Thanks

I'm retired from my 45-year software engineering career but am interested in getting into smartphone app development using Android Studio. But, frankly, the UI of Android Studio for designing the UI elements of an app are just baffling.

Can someone recommend a (YouTube??) video (or a few) that explains at least the basics of adding UI elements, positioning them, sizing them, doing whatever you're supposed to do with those squiggly lines?

Now the wait begins! I noticed there aren't a lot of cases available, undoubtedly because the phone has not been released yet. However, there are lots of cases available for the EU version of the phone, RAZR 40 Ultra, which is the same phone. I found a nice one on Amazon, that arrives the day after the phone does.

Hello. I have a small but annoying issue when listening to Audible through my phone (S20 FE) on Bluetooth in the car. What was happening was that when I turn the car engine off the Audible transmission automatically stopped/paused too. Recently this isn't happening. When I turn the car ignition off, the adio book carries on playing in my pocket. Any idea what has changed and how I can rectify it?
