Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Just called VZW and still no shipment information. I want this phone before I leave for vacation next week.

After all this BS I might have to actually give them a call, too. This is so ridiculous. During the first two weeks I was really excited and looking forward to receiving this phone, reading reviews, watching videos, and getting familiar with what it could do even if I didn't have it in my hands. It made passing the time a little easier. But now going into my fourth week of waiting my excitement has clearly been waning, and I think I'm more pissed about how the folks on this thread are being treated and how Verizon basically wants us to just keep our mouths shut, never inconvenience their customer service reps, and to basically just suck it up. In the big picture I can live without this phone... hell, we've all been doing it! But I just don't like Verizon's "we don't give a sh*t" attitude. Unbelievable and unacceptable.:mad:
 
My order date at Verizon store was
6/5/2010.

Called last night to inquire on the status (this was my first call about the phone). After being placed on hold forever while the CSR searched for my order, I was told that the phone was not ordered until 6/8/2010. I told them I had the receipt in my hand and it clearly stated 6/5/2010.

CSR stated that there were at least 10 day delays. I inquired why Verizon had not notified any of their customers of these delays. After all, some of us have been waiting over 3 weeks for this phone. CSR just blew the question off.

At this point, I asked if Verizon was compensating their customers for this delay. The CSR stated that he could give me $10 off my current bill for this month but nothing else.

Though I accepted the $10, I was definitely disappointed in this whole process.

With a new order date of 6/8/2010, when should I expect a delivery date notification now?

According to Verizon? I think 6/30 was a common date for 6/8 orders. According to reality? Who knows but if it doesn't get better, I think it may be 6/31.

And yes, I know how many days are in June.

I'm a 6/7 with a Ship By date of 6/28 (yesterday). I would expect your ship date would have been 6/29 or 6/30. But now that we keep hearing that there's anywhere from a 5 to 10 day delay, realistically I wouldn't look for this phone to ship until sometime next week.

I think that blasting customer service is very much keeping in line with the title of this thread. Order dates and ship dates have proven to be exercises in complete futility. So people vent to illustrate how and why these Verizon estimates are stuffed full of wild Blueberry muffins and not worth the powder to blow them to hell.

We are blasting CS because we don't have our phones yet BC they keep getting delayed And we keep getting excuses....people are posting their dates as soon as they get them. We also are helping each other pass the time. Looks like u could join in on the blasting so you don't keep bugging us about dates! Or you can start at page 1 to see who has gotten their phone. No offense but if we don't have dates to post then we talk to each other.

LOL... I hear ya. There's really no other phone that I would prefer to have right now. This is the one I got my heart set on and with all the BS, it's still the one I want. I probably would have jumped for the X if it hadn't been a Moto, as I've not had the best experiences with those. So Verizon has conveniently tied the hands of their customers, loyal and newcomers, because they along with HTC, have managed to create the biggest phone debacle ever. It's beyond frustrating for all of us. :mad:

2. I agree we're frustrated (my ship date was supposed to be today, ordered 6/8), but it seems there is a flood of people who are giving order dates and promise dates, and recounting customer service chats of what they're told, but I haven't seen anyone in about 15 pages who actually has received the phone. I was just asking for that important piece of information.

3. Seeing someone post: ordered 6/4, promised 6/24, arrived today. THAT would be most helpful.

4. Going back to earlier pages doesn't do much good, since it seems clear big delays have started in the last two weeks or so.
 
well the droid Gods aren't wanting me to get a phone...Fedex tracking says delivery exception that it was refused by recipient...when I called them they told me that the shipment had been recalled by VZW WTH


Guess who I am on the phone with and needed a release before I blew up on her....

He's right. Venting is VERY important, but dates and other relevant information (not CSR complaints) are probably more important to this thread in the end.

1) No one is getting mad at CSRs (well except that there is clearly a huge lack of communication among them about what is going on with shipping dates, etc.) But Verizon is liable as well in that they are the sellers and collectors of our money. And CSRs are the face of Verizon. While I don't condone being rude to them, as it truly is not that individuals fault, like you said, it is their job.

2) And I for one appreciate the recounting of conversations with CSRs. It keeps me from having to call myself, at least till after my ship date has passed.

3) Yes that is always the best info, but shipping notices are so few and far between for a reason, and we would have no color to the reason for the delay without the other conversations here.

Finally got a CSR who kept apologizing she said she showed my ship date as 6/28, which she sees did not happen - She wasn't sure when it might ship :eek: she promised to call me back by 5pm EST with an update on when my Dinc might be shipping :rolleyes:
 
I went to the Verizon store where I ordered mine on 6/16 and the rep told me that it should ship out on 7/14 if this helps anyone.
I'd also like to say that this thread is a double edged sword! On one side it keeps me informed of whats going on and we can vent our frustrations and at times it can be even entertaining but on the other hand it burns me up seeing how some are going thru some tuff situations and even after the long wait, they get there phone but no battery. I'll tell you the truth I can handle the wait but if I get my phone after waiting so long that all my hair has fallen out and I'm missing something in the box I WILL GO POSTAL ON SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

Well that's great news for us 6/7'ers, huh? :rolleyes: I understand there are lots of CSRs but I wish they would give these folks the proper information to disperse to us and get them all on the same page instead of all these random dates, times, delays, etc.

I ordered mine on 6/3 and got an email of shipment yesterday at 4:15 p.m. It is to be delivered today by 3 p.m. 6/29. I am in VA.
 
Hate to burst your guys bubbles but anybody who ordered on or after 6/5 do not expect your phones soon. I just got off the phone with verizon and it is official my ship date is 7/1 which is from the supervisors mouth. I proceeded to go off on her since I will be away starting the 1st and her answer was then cancel your order and reorder so accommodate your travels. She then tried to upgrade me to overnight which I already had. I did get 25 dollars of credit and an offer for the X but I said fine I will get the X if you can pay me an extra 35 for the case and screen protectors I have for the Inc already, she said no we have done enough for you I think. http://forum.androidcentral.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=191593
 
Good morning my lovely hostages!

So got my shipping notice today. The only problem was because of my "hassle" they upgraded my shipping to overnight. Well when they put that onto my account, the shipping department either did not see it, or they ignored ti and sent my phone 2 day.

Do not believe that they upgrade you to overnight.....they told me that 2 times but it has ended up 3 day delivery....lol

mines is in newark!!!!

Holy Cow....so close....at least you can see yours moving....mine is still at the same place it was when it was picked up the 27th....not moved yet....

Good Morning, all! Are we ready for another long day of waiting for just a tidbit of good news? :) Let's just hope we start hearing about folks getting their email notifications if not their well-deserved phones! Seeing as this is my first official day past my Ship By date, I think by the end of the week I'll be good and ready to start harrassing Verizon CSRs! ;)

Do not believe them when they say it shipped UNTIL you get a tracking number. I was told mine shipped on the 25th but it did not.....

Here's hoping that my silly phone will actually move out of Memphis and at least make it's way towards Texas.....and everyone hears something good today!
