Droid X looks pretty sweet, but ...

Actually 2 have been. Second one went for $1300+ and the third one ends tomorrow morning and is already at $900+.

I meant AND has been delivered. I'm assuming that it isn't in the hands of the 2nd owner yet since it ended so recently. I wonder who that owner is.

He has a connect in Motorola, he seems to have access to alot of devices but I don't know exactly how he got it in his possession, i don't tend to ask those kinds of questions.

Can you take a picture of his X with your phone by any chance? He is your neighbor so it shouldn't be too hard. Also, just for verification, write your screen name on a small piece of paper next to his phone. That way we can know for sure that it's true.

Verizon Is supposed To have 4g phones By this holiday season launching on lte which is true 46 over twice as fast as wiimax and as far as specs go the evo has already been beat the incredible its cousin has higher benchmarks and the cpu in the x is much faster.along with a gpu that is over twice as capable as the one in the snap dragon.

Thanks for sharing, I think you are exactly the person I was referring to in my post. But im glad you can quote news articles.

Yup, I get off around 6:30 so ill get home about 8:00 or so. Its 3:41 where I am now. Mind you my pics would be taken with my outdated HTC hero, but i dont think that matters.

I think most people are quoting what they are getting, not what ALL EVO users would get, that would be impossible. After all each person can really only speak for themselves, or maybe their area as far as data speeds/signal etc....

But one thing you are missing out on as far as your statement about verizon rolling out 4G, its irrevelent as far as the Droid X is concerned because it won't work on a LTE network, so say verizon rolls out LTE early next year, you will be right back to buying a new phone just to use the network.

What I was saying was that some EVO users can use the 4G but even more can't because 4G on Sprint is not as wide spread as they try to advertise. So for some it works, for even more it doesn't. And for Verizon, the 4G will be in testing later this year. That means that it's not going to be available for the mass public for awhile just yet. They may be rolling out 4G phone for the 4G network around the end of the year, but the network is going to be in TESTING for awhile. I'm estimating it won't be out of testing for probably 6 months or more at a min. So I'm not worried about having a 4G phone just yet. The X looks as if it will do what I need it to do at the speed I need it to do for the next two years. When I upgrade I'll upgrade to a 4G phone.

This thread is starting to get personal, imo. We have a zero tolerance policy. Please keep discussion to the topic and the facts. Thank you. This thread in now in my radar. Beep. Beep. Beep. Carry on, but don't carry on. ;)

It was a sarcastic joke. I'm just trying to say that anyone could say that and make people believe it. It's hard, especially with the X not being released.

Gotcha......But im also not like these fanatics who see specs and automatically assume things without seeing it "real world" so unless something was so different that it was totally obvious, it looks the same to me. Someone else who believes benchmarks tell you what phone is better for someone would probably have a different opinion.

Picture! :P

I'm not trying to rag on your or anything. I would do this to anybody. What29 has already proven himself to have a X. One picture of it would be sufficient enough.

LOL, Thanks for letting me know my "opinion" was incorrect.

Why is it that a mod shows up and threatens to close every thread that you post in on the Droid X forum?

With all due respect, thanks for your opinions and the EVO forum is that way ---->

Perhaps it would be better to ask the MOD instead of me. Seems I didn't do anything, however someone else decided to get personal. I was posting about the OP's topic, but thanks for asking.

haha, this guy youre talking to and some other htc fanboy were crying around here yesterday.

HE called me out on something and i tried to shove his words back down his throat with pics of a piece of paper with his name on it in the foreground and the main object in the background. ...but......you know how it goes. :)

some of these members are just too funny. I mean, its a free country. Cry all you want, just go do it in your comfy evo section. OR IS IT NOT SO COMFY ANYMORE? ;)

on topic:

after all the reviews and the video evidence i have to agree with my previous opinion. The droid X does s#it on the evo

AND it has a mechanical shutter to catch fast moving objects which is also another reason for the hump on the back.

And if you think about it the hump it serves the purpose of not letting your battery sit completely flat on the surface. It allows it some space even if it's small to breath and that's a good choice with a phone like this. IMO.

I just find it amusing that when I ask for evidence... the person mysteriously vanishes. I did that to 1 other EVO owner on here a ways back and he hasn't spoken on this forum since.

I have an xbox360 and a 60 inch flatscreen, a 4.3inch screen pales in comparison.

I have a ps3 and a 70 inch sony xbr 1080p/24p BRAVIA. SPEC FOR SPEC the ps3 destroys the 360, as im sure my tv destroys yours. is this a pissing match?

What is your point? The only agenda i see you possessing is that you have an evo and it hurts to come into the moto x section?

whatever floats your boat man, but crying in here is not going to magically fix your evo

It's kinda like that EVO user here who I called out on trying to say that 4G is expansive. Lol they stopped talking to me and trying to treat me like I was stupid. Point is the EVO has 4G and FF camera, which both are nice but at this moment neither are necessary. For Verizon 4G won't be avaliable for the mass public until Q4 of 2011 at min IMO. And I doubt I would use a FF camera that much, but if there's a maybe if it was there.

I was questioning the screen resolution capabilities...

Android 3.0 Gingerbread will be released to developers in mid-October. First 3.0 handsets ship in November/December
Minimum hardware requirements for Android 3.0 devices are: 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 3.5in display with support for 1280 x 760 pixels on screens over 4in

Oh well the screen resolution on the X is fixed. 3.0 wont change anything with the screen resolution on the X. It simply just means that future devices with 1280 x 760 screens will be supported.

I get it...I thought they meant that only devices with 1280 x 760 would get 3.0

thanks

hehe i only use cameras when my lady lets me ;)

i hate pictures ....but im guessing the ffc will be good for a new generation of sexual promiscuity, and of course families seperated by a business trip etc.

what i want to know is can big brother see the video when we transmit?

Funny enough... I was watching a documentary on... National Geographic or The History Channel (can't remember which one) about the NSA and found out some interesting information. All of the domestic data phone calls runs through an AT&T building in San Francisco... and I mean every single phone call. I don't know if that also will include video calls... but I think it would be safe to assume so.

So... still, Steve Jobs is Big Brother. You know that AT&T would never deny God to tap into their wires to see who's phone sexxing who. :P

The documentary was about NSA spying on phone calls by when Bush declared a secretive executive order to do so after 9/11. It was discovered by an AT&T worker! Interesting stuff!

THIS IS BY NO MEANS THE START OF ANY POLITICAL DEBATE! Thank you for your cooperation. :)
