Had to cancel my preorder, because I was going to do an annual upgrade on my main line then do alternate upgrade to my line and they insisted annual upgrades couldn't be done through Bestbuy mobile.
Just out of curiosity, Aookay at your location would you be able to do annual upgrade+alternate upgrade easily for verizon? They took over half an hour, the worker asked the other coworkers, the manager, called verizon, called the verizon/bestbuy rep for the area and even though it was confirmed the line was eligible for annual upgrade she said it could not be done unless it shows up in the computer, which she said annual upgrades do not. I'm not too upset about canceling my pre-order, the only reason I did it was verizon didn't have a pre-order but gonna stick with what works (ordering directly) from now on.
I want to make sure I understand this correctly, so you want to take the primary line's annual upgrade and apply it to a secondary line?
The alternate upgrades are easy, we do them all the time. The annual upgrades are tricky, and really it's all on the way Verizon flags the account. When we pull up your account in the system, it will show us your lines and what is eligiable for which upgrade (whether it be the 1 or 2 year). This determines how we price and ring up the phone. If you came up to me and asked to do this same scenario, I would go into the account, check the lines to see which was flagged for which upgrade, and go from there.
The annual upgrade seems to be a very specific Verizon corporate store thing. For example, when I go onto MyVerizon, my phone shows it is not due for an upgrade till next November, but according to the Annual upgrade I should be due for one this November.
It's a Verizon thing, to be honest. Sprint and ATT allow us to do it through our system for the annual upgrades. Your situation seems a little intricate, but it seems as though the Mobile employees did everything in their power to try to make it work, which is awesome, but in the end we don't have the access to do it.
But yeah, until things change for Verizon, Annual upgrade = can't do, Alternate upgrade =can do
