Does any one know if there is Over night shipping? i am getting my Droid X online either 12:01 Wednesday night Or in the morning.. Any information about online shipping :) it would help thanks

I don't get why you need that code when it clearly states FREE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING WHEN YOU ORDER ONLINE on the website. Is that different in every state or something?

Doh! Maybe you don't need it for the phones. I just ordered accessories today and came across that code.

I know quite a few people were not getting free over night shipping on the Incredible without using the code. This code ensures that you do, some might not need it but it is useful to have if it doesn't give it to you automatically.
 
Great.... My verizon store is getting a grand total of............. 2!
I'm #4 on a waiting list of about 40 people too. So instead I have to drive almost an hour to wait in line at a different store that has 55 in stock, but now they're telling me that all of those go to their store waiting lists. Should I risk the long drive all that way and stand in line for the small chance that I would get one? The store is opening an hour early, but I still only have 2 hours to make it there and back before work. ugh.....
 
I'm on ATT with an iphone 3g right now looking to jump ship for the droid x. I called up customer service and they told me no preorders so I asked if I could order it at midnight on the 15th and they told me I could only do that if I already had an existing myverizon account, otherwise I would have to go in store.

Sounds like BS, is there any truth to that? Has anyone else been able to order online when switching carriers?

I highly doubt your store is only getting 2 phones unless a phone shipment got delayed or something so they only got a shipment of 2 phones?I'm pretty sure they probably come in shipments bigger than that unless all the employees have set aside phones for themselves and I'm not sure if they can do that.

According to the Verizon employees at my local store, they are required to buy their phones online; not from store stock.

Of course, that's according to the Verizon employees at my local store...;)

(And until I have my DX in my hands on Thursday, I'm not saying or doing anything to piss them off.):D
 
The corporate store in Frisco Texas is having a midnight launch for the Droid X. They will have a DJ, food, and giveaways throughout the night. They are taking appointments and the festivities start at 11pm July 14th.

I have been told they will have 40 in stock.

I think its because they are an authorized retailer, not a corporate store. Also, its a pretty small town. But for a store with a waiting list of 40, they should really look into getting more shipped.
 
Can I ask a question to all those concerned about Midnight launches and getting the phone on the 15th (Flame suit ready!) Why do you need to have the phone the very second it hits the market? What's another day or two? Don't get me wrong, I am just as excited as anyone here, but I am not going to die if I don't have it in my hand on Thursday.

I think part of it stems from the thinking that if they/I don't get it right away it might be "backordered" for a long time. Like the INC, EVO, IP4 etc.

Well I personally am concerned because my store told me that once the first shipment is sold, they will not get another one for a week. I don't know if thats true or not. I can wait a few days but a week is too much, especially when I've been waiting a month now. Plus, I will be traveling a lot the next few weeks so I want to get the purchase out of the way and not have to deal with it (this also means I cannot order it by mail).

I hear you man. i wanted the Inc then i heard about the wait so i got pissed canceled my order. Once i heard and watch Countless videos about the Droid X. Fits me perfect. And i am really hopeful that it will come here within a day or so maybe 2.. at the most.. If order it.. at 12:01 on a Wed night. will i get it Thursday? or Friday?

Another question worst case scenario. If i order thursday. would i get it friday? lol thanks :D

Oh and because I'm returning my Evo within the 30 day period and that date is approaching pretty quickly!
