yea, i really think it has to do with the specific phone. for example, a2sd off works fine for my phone, has to be on for my girlfriends. also, my phone does not need the touchscreen fix, but my girlfriend's does.


either way, i am trading my eris for a moto droid in a couple days, so i won't be around as often. i'll still be around bc my gf will still have the eris, on white widow, but not near as often. i have instant notifications on for this thread, so i will still answer any questions i can.
 
Hey I have a question for the dev. Whats your kernel source? Seriously I find it amazing that some one who does not know C was apparently able to write their own OC patch for the eris kernel. Seriously how did you do it? I see on XDA you made a comment that with "your" kernel you can OC to 864. So how did you do it? Inquiring minds want to know.

its the stock kernel spurce with zanfurs OC patch and a few other things. i am-well was, its kinda on the backburner-looking for a fix fro the touchscreen issue too. i think ive finally got a working MELFAS touchscreen driver working to. lots of thanks to col cognac on that one for pointing out the MELFAS vs SYN touchscreen driver.


i just have to actually get around to compiling it, i got but working on a loopback enabled kernel for that ubuntu project.

I just installed ww4.6 and got the "every time I hit accounts & sync the phone reboots"
This was because I forgot to wipe before installing and it see's your account info incorrect just do a wipe and reinstall.

Aww, chit. I was about to try WW because I have this bug in CELB2.8.
 
For some reason when I flash a font, it doesn't get applied everywhere like the lockscreen clock and SetCPU. Help?
 
Just flashed WW 4.6 today and am having a few problems. Calendar keeps force closing. Wallpapers won't set unless I reboot. Anyone else have these issues?

Any additional apps installed after flash? Calendar widgets to todo lists that access the calendar??

Not seeing those issues at all and very stable for me. You might want to start over with a wipe/repart and flash.

Once you get a clean install, make sure you don't install any additional apps and make sure it's stable/working for several hours/days. If it's all good, do nand backp, then start installing a few apps, once at a time, doing nand backups along the way.
 
For anyone having proximity sensor and call issues, use these settings under Settings > Call Settings.

Uncheck everything except:

Missed call LED notify
Show organization
In-call touch UI
Voice Privacy

I use these settings and never have problems with the proximity sensor or the call disconnecting.
 
dw---Thanks for the info. I just restored all my apps with TiBackup. The problem seems to be that something is trying to access the stock calendar. I am using a different calendar app. So, I just deleted the stock calendar. Hope I didn't mess anything up. Once things are stable, should I do a nand backup then?
 
I'm having trouble getting a theme to work with Metamorph. Any theme I try, don't work. It acts like it's working, but in the end, it doesn't change anything. Can someone point me to a theme that works with this ROM. Maybe I'm using themes that are incompatible.

make sure you are using a CM build theme. Should say in the thread that it is for CM
 
I really like using this ROM. Everything works for me and its speedy. My only problem is battery life. I used all the recomended settings in the OP and setCPU to a max of 710 with lower settings for screen off. I've read and followed the tips on one of sticky's for battery life on the ERIS for settings. My battery life after 4 hours of minimal use is down to 60%.

Any thoughts.

what about widgets running and frequency of sync settings? How is your radio reception? Low radio can cause excessive battery use, too.

Good point on the radio. It is at one bar while in the office. Can't seem to find that setting, can you point out what setting that is to turn off 3g. No widgets running and automatic sync is turned off and btw what exactly does that turn off, I still get emails?

theres no way to shut off 3g unless you find an app from the market. i personally use switchpro but its a paid app.
 
The reason I had to leave WW, is that I am having a terrible time with GPS keeping its place. It stops working just after setting up navigator, then I back up and go back in, and it immediately works.

I'm gonna test to see if it happens with the Froyo ROM that I'm messing with. I hate this, because WW is my absolute fav.

Andrizoid, do you know if it's possible to strip bluetooth voice calling from Froyo? That's really all I want out of it.
 
Just wanted to say best rom I have tried and I have tried many. No seriously many. This is my everyday rom. Looking forward to 4.7

Read the first two posts of this thread carefully. There is a tsupdate2.zip file that you need to download and flash in order to get your touchscreen working. For most, it just works, but a few people get this, and the fix is right there in the instructions.
