Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

I haven't tried mounting with B5 so I can't comment on that. But I'm getting the same market issues I got with B2, file will get to 100% then not install. Although if I do a bunch of updates at once, it will get about every other one.

It's not a huge problem just letting you know!

adrynalyne,,, I am running b2 right now with the evo port theme and all is running
smooth and nice for me (except sms app, but using handcent its good)
so just wondering what would be my upside to updating to b5?
any major improvements?

Is this before, or after you have restored your apps?
 
i too am unable to mount internal storage on my computer. my phone sees it so i can move stuff around with astro. i've seen a few comments that others have this issue but i have not seen if it is a known bug or if there is a fix for it maybe? its really not a big deal simply because i don't use my internal storage much and the fact that i can move stuff around with astro is good too.

If this is for me. I edited. Suweet. Thanks. The permissions issue was in the Set_perm command 0755 was 04755 or whatever the number actually is. Worked like a charm except the recursive wasn't recognized in the end but that didn't stop it from running. I was a little surprised after it ran at what was gone and what remained. I kept the lock screen I liked it, Flickr seems to have remained but I haven't tried it. News and Weather remained I don't think I excluded that I guess it just wasn't part of the removal list but no worries I might actually use it. Contacts widget I excluded but can't use, and the settings widgets that I liked I excluded but can't use. Aside from that all is well.
 
I too am having the problem with fixing permissions - seem slike su is not sticking. Is this related to the set-perm like above post?

I don't think so, I think the other guy is getting comfused by having the Evo keyboard on his Dinc... maybe...

The FrankenROM themed Droid 2 Multi-Touch keyboard will be in the next release :)

Before. I never restored any apps at all. First I tried installing B5, letting it boot and completed the initial set-up wizard then rebooting to recovery and installing the theme and it boot looped so I wiped everything, installed B5 then installed theme before rebooting and it boot looped. So then I tried wiping again, installing B5 , wiped again then installed theme and it boot looped.

Not sure what I am missing here. I am usually pretty tech savvy so I am guessing its probably something obvious I am just not seeing.


Any help is greatly appreciated and I am not afraid to use the "Thanks" button either :) ha-ha!

not sure what exactly you are trying to do without going back and reading previous posts but i also was going into a bootloop after installing a theme. what i did was wiped everything installed b5 and let it boot up for the first time. i then went into recovery and installed the evo theme by riptide9 and its awesome, hope this helps. now if i may, can you tell me if your internal storage is mounting to your computer i'm trying to figure out if this is something that can be fixed. thanks

I'm not playing with any themes....but I thought that I'd share that I'm not having any problems mounting internal storage (b5) on my Windows machine....FWIW
 
Not exactly sure why, but I've been a latecomer to Frankenrom. Loaded b5 and I gotta say man, you nailed it. This Rom is kicking all forms of ass, internal storage is even mounting. Had a random close on Dolphin w/ Hydra 1.15 and decided to just go straight to stock undervolt. If that fails, back to the stock kernal. This is the smoothest Rom I've laid hands on in awhile and by far the best with the 2.15 radio.

thankyou, it seems as though my computer is recognizing internal storage as a disc drive, it tells me to insert a disc if i try to click on it. not sure about that, any help would be appreciated.

edit: it must have something to do with this evo theme on here, i'd rather have this theme than the internal storage mount i guess though.

You may be on to something. It seems that you've decided upon a balance though.

I'm loving the Riptide theme. I think it does a lot to show off how incredible the amoled screen really is. I installed the theme after I restored all my apps and had everything else set up the way I wanted and had no problems.

It isn't a big deal as I don't really use the phone storage. I actually didn't notice until it was mentioned earlier but like I mentioned in an earlier post, the phone storage is not mounting to my computer. Can't say if this happened with any of the other roms.
 
I was coming from 2.1 and it seems slightly bigger than the default...

Also the sms app seems to take a lot of room on the screen. This could be something different in 2.2, but just something I noticed.

On the positive side so far stable, and I have loaded almost all of my apps. Quadrant score is also up to 1100 from 560 on 2.1.

ok then that pretty much confirms my theory that it is just with this particular theme that phone storage does not mount. oh well :|
