[TIP] Slow web scrolling FIXED! Update Flash Player!

I updated to Froyo with the RUU from xda and immediately noticed slow and laggy scrolling on web pages. I noticed that although I did have flash 10.1, the version number was 10.1.72.? I found a verison 10.1.92.8 on the droid life forums, updated to this version and the slow scolling is gone.

Changing the plugins to on demand only helped me slightly...but after I updated to the 10.1.92.8 scrolling is at least as fast as it was with 2.1

I actually am not having any trouble with lag but it's always nice to have the latest updates. Especially for flash!
 
My scrolling has been very laggy, I will let you know if it fixes it for me here shortly.

Update: THANK YOU! I definitely notice a huge difference. Before I would move my finger as much as 1/2 inch along the screen before it would respond, now it is much much better.
 
This was the single thing I had problems with after receiving froyo. Thanks so much for the find!
 
Something interesting, my wife got the ota today and it was the 72 version. I did the ruu and it was the 72 version. Why wouldnt the ota have this 92 version?

Because the 92 was probably released after the package was launched.
 
Thanks to Warwick002000 for the find and Mizmimi for supporting people with installing, but I am going to move this thread to Tips and Tricks.
 
I tried to install the updated flash .apk but I get an error:

Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS]

so it sounds like I cannot overwrite the flash player that is on the Incredible now. The uninstall button is greyed out for Flash Player 10.1 in the application settings page.

Anyone have any ideas??
 
i dont get it. do i have to be rooted to install this? i downloaded it no prob but it said the phone forbids installing anything thats not from the app market. wtf??

my phone browser scrolling is horrendously laggy. so annoyed. i miss 2.1 :(
 
Thanks so much for this. 90% of my use is for the internet and this update has made the browser as snappy as it use to be.

Absolutely not.

Just place the APK on your SD card and install it from there. It will ask you to upgrade, wait 5 seconds (if that) and you are done.
