[Official] The "I have received Froyo!" Thread

Well so far everything I was hoping froyo would be, it is! 'Not an upgrade' my ass, this is what I was hoping for when I purchased my DX two months ago. Our website works beautifully on my phone now, this is going to be SUCH a great marketing tool from here on out. Took you guys long enough, but me happay now :D

Use one of the two links I posted previously. The first I know works the second was posted on twitter by birdman so I'm sure it works as well.

I tried it, and it won't even detect my device.

Still no Froyo for me :-(

Says system is up to date! WTF?

I want my FROYO

That's actually the first report I've heard of someone NOT getting froyo.

Maybe they are doing a release -- pausing -- release -- pausing etc. method. keep tryin' bud!

the first link. Just run the .exe after you download it

Thanks, I finally figured it out, I'm dense tonight lol :D I am having trouble with root programs though, they keep saying they haven't been granted root access or not working at all. Also, the apps aren't even asking for root access, that's weird.

Does this OTA unlock the other 256 mb of RAM I keep reading about. I have not read anywhere somebody confirming that 2.1 only allowed us to use 256 mb of RAM and that this 2.2 Kernal would allow use to use the other 256 MB of RAM.

Please correct me or shed some light please.

this is the first im hearing about this.

update completely made my phone useless. can't open up anything, cant make calls. pulled the battery multiple times and nothing fixes it

Mmmm....Froyo for breakfast in Nashville, TN.

Woke up at 5 and did an update check and there it was.
About 12 minutes to download via 3G then another 12 to install.
Took about 10% of battery in that 25 minutes.

Android Agenda widget showed an error message at 1st, but it looks fine now.

Oh well, done with breakfast, gotta get ready for work.

Amaroth, I got it rooted, woo hoo! Thanks for the help and links! I had to reboot it before the SU Ninja showed up, but all my Root Apps are working like clockwork!

I had to power down the phone, plug it into the wall, turn it back on, and use Wifi to finally check for the update. Otherwise, I kept getting the "check for updates is not available at this time" or it would timeout with the little red spinning arrow saying it was "checking for system updates".

DLing Now....

Verizon servers must be slammed. Even on Wifi, it is sloooow at 6 AM Central...
