rock on!
(not sure if the revo one is the right download....)

Stuck on Moto M on boot. have tried 2 times. i havent missed a step.

i am Coming from a Flyx Rom..

also a noob, so be that as it may

It is recommended to come from a clean slate such as the stock rom or to SBF prior to installing. Try going into the stock recovery and wipe data/cache. If that doesn't do it then you will have to SBF.

What does the addin for vanilla_framework.9.DX.10percent.zip do?
Excited to try nextheme but I'm happy with the blkbluekangtheme too.

This adds the numerical representation of your battery percentage on top of the battery notification icon. So picture it exactly how it is but with numbers on top of it. to remove it if you don't like it just flash the vanilla_framework.9.DX

where is the stock rom? stupid i know

Here is the SBF along with RSD lite 4.8. You'll need to boot into the bootloader by pressing camera button + volume down rocker + pwr all at the same time. I usually press and hold the first two then press pwr just to be sure I get it. Then plug your phone into your computer launch RSD lite. browse to wherever you kept the SBF and run it. It takes a while, 20 + minutes. Then you will have a clean slate

well, i guess i'm bricked... wont turn on... at all... dang it!!!

oh well, maybe it was my battery... had 20% when i started... i went into the stock recovery, wiped it all, then tried to install the .zip.... still didnt work... looks like i;m gonna have to .sbf

slow as heck puter has it downloading in 2 hours... good grief...

Try doing a few battery pulls and then go into the bootloade as described above. Then if it doesn't turn on AT ALL try leaving it on the charger for some time or borrow a friends battery that has a DX.

Never start using recovery with only a little battery left, you can run into some major problems. The phone won't turn on until it reaches a certain level so just leave it charging for awhile.

Mine already had numbers over the battery, but they only seemed to be in 20% increments.

I installed a theme that has the circular battery over this but it also only seems to increment every 20%.

I wonder what would happen if I changed it to 10% now?

You would need to check the framework and see if it's setup to run in 10% increments. If it isn't you would have to edit the battery xml file.

If you install the 10% framework in the add-on folder it will take off the current theme you're using. Unless what happened to me wasn't typical. But if i'm not mistaken that replaces your whole framework with the original look plus the 10% mod. And that's weird that it's only in increments of 20 cause fission allows for increments of ten.

It's possible that he just needs to add in the other missing png files.

how long does it take to once it says please manually power up the phone... the phone is on but no service,,,, its been like this for about 10min

are yo talking about after flashing the rom? you should get service right away. you may need to to a factory reset to clear the data and cache. especially if you did not do that during the install.

"please manually power up the phone" I assumed was referring to RSDlite because he wouldn't be seeing that anywhere if flashing Fission. If that is the case and its RSDlite he probably just needs to reboot and/or activate.

HERE ya go...download the Current Version and be sure to press mount system before installing...and the lock slide will stay the same.

i am running autokiller on aggressive with no problems.
also if you want the circle battery mod on the blackout theme here is preview3 with the battery mod.
CirBatModDX_BlackOut3_1.zip

Thanks to you both for this!

I tried it out tonight, but it was just not for me. I felt the 3G and wifi icons looked a bit twonky, plus I started to get some strange ghosting with apps. (They would stay drawn on the screen after I exited the app). Also when trying to use the Android Keyboard, it consistently forced closed. A reboot did not fix this, so I did a restore from a backup I did yesterday and all is fine.

As for this ROM, a few things I noticed.

1. Going into Google Maps generates a message "Login Failed." message. Maps appear to sync fine to my location though.
2. I had a problem making a call today with bluetooth dialing in my car. A reboot fixed it.
3. Android Market seems to say "Loading" for awhile before anything appears. Both on 3G and Wifi
4. Volume appears to be a bit lower. (I have no way of testing this definitively) It just seems lower both in talking on the phone, and the external speaker.
5. One soft reboot today when going to unlock the slider (I was listening to a podcast at the time).

On a positive note, this ROM flies! Its faster than Apex (though I had none of the above mentioned issues with Apex). I did not SBF prior to installing, so maybe I should have? I followed the directions on their website to a "T" however.

If anyone has any thoughts or has experienced this as well, would appreciate some feedback. I will keep running this though until I have a strong reason to try something else or go back to Apex.

P.S. Is there overclocking in this ROM?

EDIT: Is there any way to get just a black status bar with this ROM and nothing else? Also, what about black sms background? Or do I have to try out Handcent and/or Chomp SMS?

Thanks again folks!

I sometimes get your #1
Don't use BT
#3 has happened to me but I cancel download and try it again and it works
My volume appears to be the same. Though it's soft to begin with :(
And this happened to me once running edenbeats. Dunno what really causes it though

And yeah oc'ing is in the fission add on folder just apply them like you would anything else with mounting /system.

If you find anything out about the maps issue, let me know. No problem about BT, not everyone uses it.

I will try what you said for canceling the download. Its weird when it happens. Yeah the volume is weak on these phones. Wish there was a way to crank up the volume a bit to be honest.

How exactly do I run the OC? Just pick one and let it rip from recovery? Does it change voltages? I don't think I want to mess with that if it does.

Thanks again brother!

Boot into recovery. go to mounts & storage. select mount system (will then display unmount system) back out with pwr. Go to install zip from sd card. choose zip. fission. overclock. and select which one you want. And yes it does change the voltage. with the first one the clock speed is 1000 MHz and 56 max vsel. so clockspeed_maxvsel

edit: and no problem! anytime

1. try joining latitude from within maps and allow access when prompted then back out. this solved it for me.
2. No BT issue here but i dont use it much.
3. mine seems about the same as other roms. not bad
4. my volume is about the same
5. no reboots from me yet
6. the blackout theme has a black messaging app. you can try pulling it from the theme and pushing it to the phone
