Thank you for this wonderfully awesome thread. I am getting my sprint evo tomorrow. cant wait.
You are very welcome. We are here if you need any assistance.
I didnt know that stickying this would get people this happy.lol
You're welcome guys.

This just seems VERY helpful for me.
Well thank you very much for the Sticky. Yeah, we are Android users. it's the little things that get us excited. Not like those over at Apple who expect huge advancements every day. (ie: One new device every few years, rather than us, a new device every few weeks.) Always advancing! Each day. Heck, we even have the KindleColor 'rooted' with Android on it.
Cool, thanks Matlock.
I flashed Ziggy's kernel that he built for Calkulin's EViO 2 ROM that I'm currently running & it seems to have stabilized things within the ROM. But... ClockWork's recovery was still acting flaky last night. If I see any more issues in recovery I'll have to switch to AmonRa.
Are there enough Mac users to maybe get things rolling on that side of the pond? I feel somewhat excluded, as most people here are Windows users and haven't seen any dedicated info for those on OS X.
Doug
Well, hit me up with how to go through Section 1 & 2 with a Mac and I can post it up as an Alternative to the Windows for thoes iOS users! Or SOi, whatever.
That would be called jail breaking and can be found over on the fanboys forum. Just kidding
Hush.. We must let the non-believers be converted to the way of the Android.
Now, my announcement!
Just got the
PowerMat for the EVO and I must say..
VERY NICE.
It is very small and easily portable. Fits anywhere. Even in my front shirt pocket. The cord wraps itself up on it'self with is very handy. You have a new cover to replace the HTC cover, which has it's own Chrome-ish Logo look, which better than their previous one.
It has a great sound effect when it's fully docked and has two lights that illuminate when it begins charging. Not sure if I will enjoy that or not when I hit the hay, tonight.
I only have two main problems with the PowerMat kit. Not anything big, surely not taking it back, it's too awesome!
The replacement cover has a odd feel to it and when you press against the door, it shifts and sounds like it is sticking against the sensor/receiver in the cover it'self.
The charger port add-on is kind of in the way with my current holster, but not by much. I am sure I will be more aware of it when I put my phone into it. I'll just have to adjust how I put it into the holster.
But overall, it's a great device for us tech-junkies.
$59.99 From Best Buy, $64.94 with tax. (Texas)
I highly recommend this product.
I also Updated to the
CyanogenMod 6.1.0-RC2 and it has had a noticeable Speed tweak from the previous RC1. It's very smooth and as far as I can see, nice and stable.
The only other advancement is the addition of a LockScreen Gesture system. This allows you to pre-load gestures to use while on the lockscreen. Open apps, webpages, shortcuts and more. Very nice addition to an even nicer ROM.
