Root voodoo5 kernels are here

now nitsu likes 1200 , that is so funny in so many ways.

how is that funny? ive never been against overclock...my issue was id prefer to use newer kernels based on updated code, then older kernels that were clocked higher.

given the choice i will usually take overclock over not

whats funnier is i just went from 1200 to 12/3.

whats even funnier is that you dont know nit he hasnt stated that OC is bad or anything its just that he is smart enough to see what kernels are better..and that sometimes OC isnt the way to go. Its all about knowing what makes your phone run the best not the fastest. And for sure not for Quad scores and theres my .02

nitsu do you still religiously wipe cache and dalvik on this new voodoo? At some point in the last 24 hrs I lost all my progress in NFS and I can't figure it out. Angry birds wasnt lost. I restored my last Ti of NFS, and now its not only at the beginning but it wants me to buy it again. I wiped the caches and erased/redid all my TiBUs but I can't think of anything else funny. Flashed one of those 1200s then went back to 12/03 also. Could one picture freezes in kernel testing have made it go nuts?

Does anyone with NFS have a folder for it on their SD? What's it called? I thought I did but I don't see it now.

i flash a new kernel at least daily...but i always wipe full cache now

i havent had any issue restore app and app data in tibu at all on this phone...odd that you did....

Doesn't make much sense. Do you have a nfs folder on sd? I have a nandroid I might try when I get home in a couple of days. No need to disable voodoo first right?

could it have something to do with me not being deodex'd before dj05, restoring my nfs data on jt's rom, then wiping the dalvik?

i cant give you a good answer on that tbh, but tibu saves directly to the sdcard, so my best guess would be something went wrong when it backed up nfs

Last night I flashed 12/6 voodoo 04. I wake up this morning phone is off...o shit but I pull battery put it back in and it boots up no biggy. Then a little while later get to work playing on browser freeze pull battery reboot. Then this happens yet again  any ideas where to go from this one? I have 03 on sd but Im thinking if 04 freezes me will 03 be worse?

i would just flash back to 12/3 stable :)

Hopefully now 02 will be better for you, like I told you on IRC and for all the lurkers its good to kinda tinker with the phone a bit, play your games, run your apps, take some camera pics, make sure wifi gps and bluetooth are all good stuff like that. Its much more likely to crack from usage than failure to wake up from sleep. I honestly think david's problem was an isolated incident. The nice thing about the 1200OTB kernels is there are 3 voltage flavors so you can find the voltage which is right for you. 02 is right for me but 03 also worked just fine 04 gave me a freeze so I 86'd it.

Also again let me remind everyone within a day or two nemesis intends to have revised OTB 1200 kernels out using the most current version of the stable rc voodoo

But as for me Im doing very well on OTB 1200 v5.02

small issue i noticed with 0.4....minor lag when flashing stuff in clockwork....like double the when you click install file and it flashes.....

dang it! That'll ruin a flight :)

just making sure one last time: I can restore a nandroid I made in red cwm without disabling voodoo?

Make that 2 of us :) thanks for the nudge. This Voodoo cwm is the shiznizzle!

Got nfs back, hate to resort to a week old nandroid but better than alternative. Had just bought the million dollar pagani and never got to drive it :( titanium'd all my other apps back from a b/u today. Life is good.

Well I found a big no no, I was seeing what I could stop without stopping my phone and the calender is a no go right after stopping it I got an adw fc then total freeze. Why is this?

hah, won't deny I've played that game of removing til bad things happen. Why not just run blackhole? Seems like he removed everything within reason.

Ok so I got a new one that is puzzling me I can go into market don't get any FCs but every page I go into just sends me back to the screen before? Help please

I got it working now but to do that I flashed back to 12/3 stable, as I was flashing I was thinking you dummy this has nothing to do with market, but it worked. I guess my ? now is what caused it. I know the general of kernels and what they do but don't understand why or how it would do that to the market..
