Recommending Go Launcher (was "New Launcher!" and "Go Sms"))

Great find! I made the switch and uninstalled LPP. Go Launcher seems to be smoother. I like it alot.

dl and on my droid x will not allow me to use my custom icons. Emailed developer and said they are working on a fix.

They work for me...long press on the app or shortcut and select replace.

Interesting.... I can't get it to work. I do what you are doing and when I select replace I select the stock icon or custom icon. I select custom, find my file, click save and nothing happens.

Here is a shot with the Kindle and google icons changed. Try resizing the icon before you save it, it may work.

Anyone having problems with Swype after switching to "Go"? For some reason the auto-space between words isn't working now. Yes, I am in the correct field(not in contact-entry field)

Looks as if they sent us a little present... Tis the season!

Just a note to people who want to change back to the stock dock icons after installing the Christmas package, just go to preferences >dock settings >style selection and change it back to default or transparent.

Thanks so much, that was killing me. I hopped on here to find out how to get them back to normal.

I used to think Launcher Pro was it, but this launcher truely rocks. I mean 30 home screens??? I'm using 9 now, but it's cool to know I can add however many I could ever want (don't think I could ever manage to make it all the way to 30). And it's SOOOO easy to move things around on the screens. I love this launcher!

Is there a way to get a custom background for the dock like in LPP? Cause I finally made one that I really liked and I can't seem to figure out how to get it on there with Go (if it's possible that is....)

I was wondering that too.

It is not possible, hopefully it's something that gets added eventually.

Ok. Well now I know. Still like it though. And hopefully that feature is added sometime soon cause I really like that ability in a launcher. Just adds that liiiiitle bit of extra customization. :)

I would say sooner or later they will. Hell, everything else in Go Launcher is customizable. Can't see em stopping with the docks.

I like the Finger-Up and Finger-Down swipe gestures on any screen. I've got swipe up going to my bookmarks and swipe down opens my music.

I didn't try Go Launcher before flashing the Ultimate Droid ROM. I did immediately afterwards. And all I can say is the combination between the two... the lag on my phone is now at negative 10. It's completely evaporated. This is really what the DX should be like out of the box. Forget blur, get UDX on your phone now. This is so amazing. I feel like I've just smoked crack for the very first time or something because I just can't get over how great this ROM feels on my phone.

I'm addicted.

I have the Apex 1.3.1 ROM with REVO theme combined with the GoLauncher and I'm absolutely lovin it too! It's like I just got a whole new phone haha. My lag too has completely gone out the window.

Well, they really won me over today with that Christmas gift. I have been playing with Go Launcher and Pure widgets all day and I finally uninstalled LPP not long ago. I think I will be staying with Go for a while. There are so many parts reminiscent or MIUI (my favorite Incredible ROM) you can't help but fall in love with it. :D
