I saw DJ05 but for the kernel it says 2.6.29.
The kernel will not reflect the change. Go into SetCPU and click Info. You'll see Geeknik.

Thats cause its eclair [2.1] it will always say 2.6.29 till we get froyo when it will say 2.6.32I saw DJ05 but for the kernel it says 2.6.29.
I am sure it is best practice to wipe the cache. I personally did/have not and haven't experienced any hiccups. But, your results may vary.
Thanks to sreymj, nitsuj17 for the help. One more thing before I go, what can i do about all the bloat ware I.E Blockbuster, tetris, NFS shift. Once again thanks guys I am now rooted and running. I will do thesame to my wifes phone when it comes in.
Move away from the stock ROM on to Super Clean or one of the others, imo.

Ok, so if I find a rom I like I just download-send to sd-and install in cwr.
But, yes.Cool!!! Thanks again.

It's de-odex'd no worries
Yep, but have a nandroid before you flash anything. Unlikely in this case, but meh...I make one every few days.
I have the circle battery percent and power button reboot options which is sort of a theme, but not really.I don't really run one, because I'm the only person in the world who likes the gray status barI have the circle battery percent and power button reboot options which is sort of a theme, but not really.
These are appearance modifications so it's up to you. Nitsu's are nice. I'd definitely get one with a numerical battery level and the reboot options for the power button, most of them have it. Just look At the screen shots on XDA.

yeah its funny, on my dx and inc...i freaking loved the galaxy s theme and ran it all the time...once i got my fascinate....well i guess the grass is always greener
but the grey in the status bar is a bit off for me...from the screenshots ive seen of froyo on the fascinate..its a little darker and imo better![]()
Ok, so i just applied the reboot_batt_a.zip in (MOD) Add Reboot Option to Power Menu (now with accurate battery mod) from within cwr and rebooted. It now seems to be hung at the SAMSUNG splash screen. Any ideas?
which one did you flash?...there is the dj05 and dio1 version....if you flashed the dio1 and you are on dj05 that would cause a bootloop...show me which link you got it from

Second one down in the OP
Looks like I just found the DJ05 version..DOH! I assume I need to restore form backup in CWR?

worst case..yes....but try and see if you can get the new one on ur sdcard through a card reader or another phone...then stick the sdcard back in ur fascinate and flash the right one
if not, restore a backup...dont worry we all flash the wrong things (intentionally or not)![]()
Once again Nitsu..you rock! Got the 'correct' file on my sdcard and flashed in CWR and I am back up and running...with the new options. Thanks!!
