******UPDATE: 1/20/2011 Things have been quiet for a while so I have not been updating this thread. Since r2DoesInc seems to have moved his project updates off XDA, I am not sure how much this post will get updated but I will do my best!!

It also appears that ROM manager is completely up to date with all current builds!****On behalf of r2DoesInc, I am posting this information about his ROM OMGB (Gingerbread 2.3). I am in no way affiliated with this ROM or the creation of this ROM, I am simply doing a favor!

A couple of questions hopefully answered guys!

1. Bluetooth works sporadically with some "playing". It helps to toggle discoverable on and off...annoying yes, but it will pair bluetooth.

2. Swype works! If you are getting the typical messages like "not compatible with this device" or "this is not an android device", follow the standard Swype Beta FAQ's for installation.

3. Missing market apps. I cannot vouch for ALL the missing apps, but installing this along with the new market helped!!

Soon as the GPS is fixed I'm grabbing this too. Camcorder I can live without but I would feel more comfortable knowing lookout can pull from GPS if it needs to.
 
This guy is a machine! He is doing a great job with this ROM, is VERY active with it, and best of all he listens to input given. These are all things i look for in a ROM Dev.
 
I keep getting boot loops for sum reason..can someone PLEASE help me!?!? i wiped data an cahe multiple times but it stops at sign in and loops every time, i dwnloaded the file from here v5
 
Just flashed and zero issues (except for camcorder and gps obviously) smooth as butter.
@jr313, at what point is it boot looping? Signing into where?
 
I got it up and running now! silly me i was trying to also install gapps not knowing it had them included already and thats where the boot looping came in i decided to try it just flashing IMGB v5 by itself ans successo! thats what i get for not reading completely and just jumping in...SMH...BUT it is smooth as butter and im enjoying it now...
 
I flashed this earlier and I wasn't super impressed. I like the new animations and the new black and green theme, but other than that I was underwhelmed. I not only got better benchmarks (Quadrant, Linpack, and SetCPU) with my 2.2 ROM, but OMGB was also far less configurable. I understand this is a beta release, so maybe I'll revisit in the future. For now I'll stick with Cyanogen 6.1.
 
is it just me or does the new gingerbread keyboard suck? I found myself with way more typos and it became so annoying I went back to the stock 2.2 keyboard.

I wouldn't go as far as giving it the suckage badge, but Swiftkey destroys it in all situations IMO.
 
I love the GB keyboard I think it's one of the best including swift.

OMGB6 is up take it for a spin GPS is fixed
 
The only thing I don't like so far is that some apps don't work with gingerbread. But that isn't the fault of the ROM developers.

A good idea is to email those developers and tell them nicely to get their butts in gear and get their apps updated and compatible for "the bread"!! :p

This ROM flies circles around just about everything I've ever tried. Anyone who doesn't like the rosie remap (to sms) go get adw free in market it's just as fast and smooth if not faster then stock launcher.

If your feeling really adventurous, ADW-EX is out ($3 I think) and is a very well built launcher with a ton of customizations and 3-d effects.
 
Liking it so far. Very fast and smooth. One thing I have noticed is that with extended controls, I can not disable or enable the GPS. It says it does, but in the settings, it does not. not a big dead, I can just go into settings and do it. Also sometimes it gets stuck on the htc Incredible boot screen. Its happened twice since I flashed. Once when I flashed the new market, and again when I backed up the rom. All I do is do a battery pull and reboot it again and it works. Anyone know a fix for this?

You can tell ext controls to go to the gps/location menu when toggling rather than just toggling the gps. Well you can with switchpro so I assume you can with ext control. This is one extra step, but like you said no biggie in the grand scheme of things.

I use old market I like it better. Since this ROM is so fresh off the grill I'm limiting how many things I mod to it to reduce possible issues and I've been successful so far...this ROM is as stable as CM 6.1 stable which blows my mind. So my fix to you is use the old market if you can
 
The only thing I flashed was the market. I have a feeling it is that. I'm really not in the mood to reflash it and try it all again. I'll probably give it a try later tonight, or tomorrow. Thanks though.
