Root LeeDrOiD 2.3 Gingerbread Available

you wont see much benefit in changing it.
changing a radio is something you should do when you have to and not when you feel like it.
it might be the last radio you change

Its only that the general impression is that the latest radio is generally the most efficient and fast. But I agree, I think I'll leave the radio alone.

It's almost like they're specialized, some better for power saving, others for.performance. I've updated to the latest. Merits of having soff o guess. Fastboot flash of radio is generally safe. Unless you downloaded a corrupt file of course. ;)
 
Have a few questions...

Since I flashed to Leedroid 2.2f, I experienced following twice: reception of signal lost and my Desire did not autoconnect, I had to reboot and enter my pin. Afterwards full reception indicator. Could this be due to the radio? Should I update to the latest radio? Can I go back when the new one does not resolve the issue? Or should I wait and see if the problem still occurs with Leedroid 2.3b?

What I also noticed in Leedroid 2.3b is that the size of the applications in settings > applications > application management is not correctly shown for some apps.
Some examples:
AdFree shows "71" instead of "71kB"
Folder organizer shows "2" instead of "2,89MB"
Market shows "1" instead of "1,25MB"

Anyone else having the same problem?
 
I have flashed in advance to gingerbread as I'm guessing the htc version will hit march at the earliest so I will update when that is released

I haven't upgraded to 2.3 yet, but I thought I may as well ask this LeeDroid related question in here.

As I'm sure you're all aware, the LeeDroid ROM comes with AdFree. However, it still shows up in the market as a downloadable link - indicating I don't have it installed. I obviously do have it installed, as it works fine.

If I try and download it from the market, it says there is an error installing it.

I occasionally get a notification from AppBrain that there is an update available for AdFree, but according to the market it isn't installed.

It's still working fine, and it updates itself when needed when I click on the app.

It's just confused me a little bit, that's all.

E:Failure at line 2
copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEMS
Installation aborted

Please advice me..

Does your phone still work??

Not sure why you wanted to flash a new radio and kernel. If you had 2.2f working then your radio is fine with 2.3, and LeeDroid comes with it's own custom kernel within the ROM, so changing that will probably cause all kinds of problems.
 
Can 2.3c be flashed over 2.2f or do I need b first then c?

Or do I need a first, then b, then c??

I'm on 2.2f now and want to upgrade, whats the advantages of this new rom over 2.2f?

I believe it depends on the odexing.
Upgrading a higher deodexed version (A2SD+) over a lower deodexed is no problem; same with an odexed system over another of that kind. Just dont mix b/w these two

You need to flash b first as c is currently just a patch. No need for a. Most of the advantages are just newer ota base and newer apps built in
