Ahaaha, I'm sorry to say, but Erce is correct Jammy :)

It has always baffled me why everyone (including myself) has associated 360 degrees with turning around and facing the opposite direction at one point or another....

Aesthetically, I kind of like the design of the 360, catches my eye for some reason. I don't own any gaming console so I don't hold a bias :-P.
 
anyone really know why its called 360? From the info i gathered before its launch it was named that because it was supposed to be "the complete" gaming system, hince the "360".
 
360: After you've played online games for 360 days you'll realize it killed sportsmanship by making online gaming so easy a 5 year old can do it (not that the grown ups act any better then the 5 year olds)

This is true of most online gaming these days...sadly... I miss the days of the Socom series on the PS2, especially Socom 3. The maps were big and you needed tactics, you couldn't just go around shooting like a 12 yr old ;)...Very soon I'm going to buy a Ps2 just to re-live my childhood :D
 
socom 2. best online game ive ever played. although i was cheap and used the IW-80. not to mention snipers were actually useful in the socom series.

I thought the first x box was the 180. When the new x box comes out I heard it will be called the 720.

Original xbox was just xbox. No numbers attached to it. As for the future release of newer xbox console, I highly doubt it will be called "720".
 
Yeah, the 'official' response is just marketing babble. The 3 vs 2 thing sounds more reasonable.

Although Nintendo switched from 'Revolution' to naming it after a bodily fluid, so obviously they didn't follow the same logic :P

Quit holding up graphical process with your antique graphics cards!

Get some direct X 11. Play some epic games.

Note.. I have a ps3 because I do love the few exclusives I play.. resistance, infamous ect.

Other than that.. Long live the computer.

Console games have such poor graphics it makes me weep. :( You haven't lived until you've played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat. When you play any other game.. you pick up and put down a controller.. When you play CoP.. you grow a beard and drink vodka.

Its not a "pretty" as crysis.. but, the graphics are very real and very gritty..

I'm a huge fan of Overclock.net :p

As the user there phaedrus says. "We won't help you save money but, We will help you feel better about the gaping hole in your pocket".

My personal rig has been overclocked from 3.2ghz all the way up till 4 ghz.

And I have two graphics cards ;) Consoles just don't compare. There are two generations behind and counting.

Unfortunately, PC gaming is dying down with exception to a few games. Consoles have steadily been the go to gaming unit due to the fact that not everyone can afford to keep upgrading rig parts every year to keep up with the pace of tech advances.

I personally have been patiently waiting for Diablo 3 but in the meantime I'm enjoying my lovely 360 S.

Resistance, Great!. Infamous, Awesome!, loved this game, the parkour-esque style was very nice. I beat it as evil, now I'm going to go back and play it as a good guy. (I borrow my friend's ps3 since I don't own one, lol....not yet at least)

Actually.. I think pc gaming is seeing a revival.

I mean... you don't need to upgrade as often as the extremist like to..

To be honest, if you factor in the cost of a rig not actually buying a console as well.. and the fact that everyone needs a computer anyway... you actually come out ahead with a computer assuming you build it well and upgrade once every 3 years which is what my brothers and I do.

Resistance, Great!. Infamous, Awesome!, loved this game, the parkour-esque style was very nice. I beat it as evil, now I'm going to go back and play it as a good guy. (I borrow my friend's ps3 since I don't own one, lol....not yet at least)

:D I beat it as good first on normal.. then beat it on hard as evil ;.;

epic win.

Oh they call it a 360 because thats what you'll be spinning to get the maximum distance in your throw!

Just have a 360, PS3, Wii, and a computer and you'll have the best of all worlds. That's what I do.
