where in NW ohio are you? I'm anywhere between Findlay and Toledo. I just did the update and my GPS is still pretty crappy
I have clockwork installed. I was able to download, but like the other guy, got a error that said something about previous update failed or something. I'm pretty sure it was because of clockwork. My question is how do I prevent that? Do I just need to rename the clockwork update.zip to like update2.zip or is it more involved then that?root will not block the update...in fact even clockwork recovery should allow you to download the ota...but would block its installation
if your *only* rooted and havent gotten it...its just because you arent part of the first (or 2nd) wave

try doing some reboots I'm hearing that is helping some ppl, thats what it took when I went to dj05.

That happened to me when I tried DJ05. Never did figure it out, but I ended up going back to DI01. Didn't think it was worth it to keep DJ05 party because I wanted to be able to download the newest updates from Verizon.

Yea I understand your frustration, and I don't mean this bad but its the chance you take with an ota. Sometimes it has bugs but I say give it a lil while it will work out

yeah. well... I don't take chances with devices that are important to me that are expensive and I use every day. Verizon does. So you know who will fix it if it does not start working? Verizon will.
I think a few people earlier said it keeps you in root.

Btw, there is a new icon next to the 3g icon at the top of the phone, anyone know what this is?
No clue, I see that icon as well. It's not in the manual.

When I moved to Blackhole DL09 last week, my GPS went from locking within a few seconds, to nearly instant. Really, really nice.

Anyone notice a decrease in performance? I am finding mine is skipping a little (not a huge amount just every now and then). I am stock.
Went into task manager and saw that RAM is at 270MB at startup... it used to be 240MB at startup before update. Not sure if thats the issue with the slowing down and skipping just interesting.

mine does sometimes but it did before the update. haven't played with it enough after update to really know. I was literally thinking about doing a hard reset of my device and starting from scratch again. As much as it would suck, I think it would really help with some of the laggy issues. Kinda like my computers. I format them once they get kinda doggy.
(did I use "laggy" and "doggy" in the same 3 sentances lol)

I'm also in Canada atm. Do you think that would cause a problem since I am using their network?

and for the record, I do take chances with this stuff... but when I do it's very calculated. I probably won't root until I'm within a month of being eligible for a new phone (oct. 2011).
Did anyone know that vzw extended an offer to microsoft empolyees for a $100 credit per line if you start your contract over right now? I'm thinking of taking advantage
I have rooted phone, but nothing else changed other than removal of some basic whitelisted/safe programs. I woke up to a download screen at 0%. I was out of 3g range, so I brought my phone in another room where it was 3g, let it sit. I came back to the screen gone, so I hit force check for update. But nothing, no statement or error, just went back to menu screen. I rebooted, tried again, same thing. I rebooted again, forced recheck, and now it says everything is up to date. I checked firmware, and its still DI01, GPS still sucks, and no new icons.
Anyone else have similar problem? Anyone have a fix for this?
