Root Q & A for all things DL30 leaked

It was working fine for me earlier and then the bt setting just turned itself off and won't even stay on long enough to connect back up with my bt
 
few observations.

default browser in superclean 8 does not focus on where you are typing such as right now as I type this post. not being able to see what you are typing is really bad.....

system is fast as crap now. I didn't load the. 4 rom from the xda thread....not sure I want to, just installing the superclean. 8 kernel is awesome

signal strength has finer resolution now, used to be 5db, now it is 1db. I am seeing 75ish db but I have wireless radio turned off and wifi connected, not sure if that meter detects only one or both? anyone know?
 
Nice! This is minor, but no more blurry, fuzzy lo-res contact pics from FB. Shows up clear and hi-res the first time you get or make a call! Woot!

If you check out the main Adryn SuperClean thread on xda, he has a TW/SNS package that you can flash over his ROM to add the SNS sync/other accts (which includes FB) to your install.

It's flat awesome - SuperClean with SNS. Best of both worlds - no bloat with all the functionality! :)
 
Seems there are two versions? "Leaked DL30" and just "DL30" and they take different themes? Or is it just late :)

You don't even need all that TW/SNS crap to get the FB images with superclean because the FB app now handles syncing rather than depending on your launcher. Just installing the facebook app from the market (with no TW on my phone) and the app asked me if I wanted to sync my contacts the first time I ran it. I'm not sure if it will keep the pictures up to date automatically, but I have images now.
 
Is there a DL30 that has all of the Bloat? Well the one piece I miss is the Daily Briefing portion. I have the DL30-Leak from Kaos. And as this is my first rooting with phone, kudos to all here, was very easy, I see how to un-root, makes sense, but lets say the 2.2 OTA comes out, can I just install and it will wipe my rooting or do I have to un-root to install?

the dl30 kaos released is the full leak...whatever is there is what came with the build from the leaker...as for an ota...if ur rooted, just wait for it to be cleaned up and released on xda...you cant take an ota with cwr installed anyone..you ll brick

I'm pretty sure that's the same as going to contact --> settings --> accounts --> add account (fb) .. i click it and nothing happens.... :confused:
 
So when I go to sleep I have my cell in the car dock at home on my nite stand. After a while the display wakes up and I believe it is saying the battery is full. Yawn....I hit the lock/dimm button to go back to sleep. But the phone shuts down and then the battery icon appears, it is off and charging. So I turn the phone back on. It turns on in plane mode, and I can't toggle plane mode, I have to reboot the phone, then all works fine.

The other weird thing when the phone wakes and says the battery is charged, I hit lock/dimm, the phone makes a 'camera shot' noise and say ' Phone Image saved to disk' ---OK THESE ARE SCREENSHOTS, not sure how I am doing these.




Any thoughts on what I have set wrong?

So if the phone is in the car dock over night, at some point it shuts off, and I don't know why, perhaps it is a car dock issue and wouldn't be an issue with a desk cradle......any thoughts?

Does the stock browser take advantage of hardware acceleration like it did in 2.1? It is much choppier while scrolling and zooming in dl30 compared to di01 and dl09.
 
Is it just my phone or can you not hear the audio when playing music (built in player or Pandora,Slacker)?? (used to work great on DJ05)

I can hear the other caller when using my headphones, not sure why the music no longer plays. :confused:

Is it possible to extract the Daily Briefing installer or "widget" from a previous release such as DL09 and install it on DL30?
